Tokyo, the city with the most number of population all over the world. Numbering 40 million, it is naturally the most urban city in all of Japan. It has a good amount of shopping malls to choose from, making it an ideal spot to spend time.

"Why are you here?"

"Coincidence."

Shiro saw the two girls stare at each other with 'normal' looks. It seems that they are genuinely asking each other some questions just now.

"Is that so?"

"That's right." Kal'tsit replied innocently.

Truthfully, everything was a coincidence. She decided to personally guard her "Creator" in this world, Kuroneko. After she left the government office, she followed Kuroneko from a distance. She did not choose to inform her to make it more effective. Fooling your friends to fool your enemies is a thing that she learned before. Add to that her anti-reconnaissance skills, she can blend into the crowd with her knowledge of psychology. Of course, it worked with a white hoodie.

However, she did not know that she would end up seeing this scenario. While she understands what it is, she does not know how to feel about it.

Meanwhile, Shiro kept his silence the moment they confronted each other. He knew that it'll be better to let them handle this on their own rather than him rashly interfering.

"What do you want to do today?" He asked.

"...It's reconnaissance. I planned to scout the possible places where a fight could ensue. Meteora-san's plan includes the "setting" as well. For today, we shall look for the place where blood will be shed!"

Kuroneko maintained her chuunibyou phase due to unsaid reasons.

"A "setting", huh. It is the place where the stage would be established."

After confirming the power of revisions, Meteora shared her plan with the others. She planned to create a "Birdcage", a place where fiction borders reality; a mirror dimension, to speak. They need to settle everything with Altair, which is why they need a proper venue where everyone would not be disturbed. She estimated that an entire city would be destroyed in it. This made surveying the area important. They will need to learn the possible weaknesses of huge buildings, which places are the best cover, where to set up traps, and so on.

In the end, they decided to recreate Tokyo in that birdcage. Many high-rise buildings could be used as a shield. Many complex areas can confuse their enemies for a few moments. On the other hand, it is also the place where most... 'normies' gather.

In no less than five minutes, they already came across dozens of couples flirting subtly. This did not affect Shiro and Kal'tsit, but Kuroneko is on another level.

"Kuh..! This city is only thirty minutes away from Chiba, yet..! These normies—"

While she experienced such things before, it left a bad taste in her mouth. In fact, she's perplexed with her past self on how she can jump in that couple ship with Kyousuke when she knew herself that things would end that way.

Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Kuroneko."

"W-what?"

"Act naturally and go right."

"A-ah?!"

Shiro's words confused her. She thought that he'll say something appropriate in this situation. Still, she followed his words and headed in different 'random' directions.

Shiro: "Salter was there. Kal'tsit left and led her to a less populated place."

Kuroneko: "So that's what happened..."

Just as she was about to feel disappointed, he added:

"Let's continue on our surveying today."

"What about Kal'tsit?"

"She said that she can handle it." Shiro said with confidence. "Her physical prowess is no joke, too. Though, the most important thing is that... she needs an opportunity to evolve her [Great Sage]."

From the moment she got that UR ability, she knew that it possessed limitless possibilities. It is something much more valuable than the normal UR abilities. Just by its ability to process information alone, it is already overpowered. It could also tell her things like success rates, complete analyses, and propose a possible solution to her problems. When Shiro was gone, she managed to unravel the mysteries behind originum, and in turn, create a more effective suppressor against it! It wouldn't take much time to create the cure for it, something that she longed for thousands of years ago.

"...I will trust in her."

The two continued their "reconnaissance" together but not without doing anything. Kuroneko secretly sent out a shadow in Kal'tsit's direction while Shiro readied himself to don his other identity. They knew what the other is doing, making them smile simultaneously.

"Looks like we still think the same, Shiro."

"Seems like it."

*****

"I commend your bravery." The pale-skinned blonde said. She is currently wearing a black school uniform with golden pupils glowing through her glasses. She is holding her blade coated in the invisible wind which made her inconspicuous in this desolate area with few people in it.

Kal'tsit briefly called out her partner together with the [Silver Rapier (SSR)] from Aincrad. As she used the [Material Enhancement (SSR)] to the rapier, it was reborn into this version. It possesses many abilities such as , , , and .

"Who are you?"

"Don't act as if you don't know me. I saw it from your eyes."

"You really are the King of Knights. Artoria Pendragon."

From what Kal'tsit knew, Artoria should be staying either in Chaldea, Romani's world, or Fuyuki City, the world where Shiro came from recently. Albeit, the Parallel World Theory made it less incomprehensible. If she isn't wrong, the Artoria in front of her should have come from one of the 'parallel worlds' out there.

"You are 'blackened'."

Blackening, a term used for Servants corrupted by [Angra Mainyu] or have gone astray from their original ideals. Jeanne Alter, the version of the Maiden of France summoned by Gilles' will, is one such example of it. The thoughts of her summoner made her personality deviate away from her original self. If the previous Artoria is a kind and benevolent ruler to her dominion, this Artoria Alter has the bearings of a tyrant that caused Camelot to last longer than the original world. She is ruthless and does not hesitate to punish subordinates who carry rebellious thoughts.

"Why? Is it a problem? I merely found a cause worth fighting for."

"That is?"

"The riddance of evils in this world." Salter replied. "Even now, I am astounded at how I came to this conclusion. An 'evil' being such as I... Truly, it is at another level of irony."

After saying so, she wielded her sword in a proper stance. Her foot is one step forward; her straight gait and sharp eyes made her not look like a high school student. Her outfit turning into golden particles and being converted into her usual knight garb added to her level of ferocity.

"I'll be fighting with you." Kal'tsit patted Mon3tr's head before her previous combat experiences came back to her. Thousands of years of fighting, all engraved into her body. She is then reminded of the weapon masters that she encountered at the beginning. The "human" civilization had just been destroyed and what remained of it are nothing but mere projections of them in the form of robotic bodies. She trained against them—ones at the peak of her world—before taking her first step of guarding her home world for ages to come.

One trained by the conglomeration of her world, another trained by the best "Hero Maker" known to all. After crossing the limited distance between them—

Clang-!

—begun their second clash.
