293 Ch. 293 Jamie Arc (part 7) Loraine’s Wedding Day
Because Jamie was a mute girl, no one wanted to hire her. Even just working as a dishwasher in a restaurant, no one wanted to use her services. The only one who accepted her for work was the older man who owned the antique shop―Mister Huo. The owner was kind and did not force her to work as a receptionist. Mister Huo ordered her to clean antiques and taught her how to clean some ancient objects properly.

As Loraine said, Zhou Yu Hue was amusing when talking to people, but when talking to Loraine, the young man turned into a naughty person and often irritated Loraine.

Jamie laughed, followed by Loraine, who looked so happy, and the two of them were still chatting while waiting for the reception to be held in a few hours.
Since Loraine was not a quiet person by nature, she left the room to look for her husband among the guests while letting Jamie sleep due to the exhaustion of the long journey.
Loraine came out of her room and walked down the corridor to make her way to the elevator. When the elevator door opened, she saw a man she did not know was already there.
Thinking that the man was a hotel guest staying at this hotel, Loraine still got into the elevator. Surprisingly, as soon as the elevator door closed, the elevator she was riding in suddenly stopped, causing Loraine to panic.
“Looks like we’re trapped in this elevator.”
Loraine glanced at the young man and somehow felt uncomfortable with this person. “It seems so.”
“Don’t you want to withdraw from this marriage, miss?”
“You have no right to meddle in other people’s business.”
The man smiled crookedly, “You don’t know me yet, miss. But I know you. You are Loraine Shu, daughter of Deke Shu and younger sister of Lawrence.”

“I’m stuck in elevator number three. Can you send someone to help me?”

Loraine could see a gleam of anger and annoyance in the stranger who claimed to know her. He probably wouldn’t be able to do anything if he was always in the elevator with this person. But if her husband knew where she was and was on his way to help her, this person wouldn’t dare do anything to her.
Even if this person were to do anything to her, he would become the prime suspect when people opened the elevator doors.
Loraine refolded her utility knife because she was sure this person wouldn’t attack her.
“I warn you, you better go back to your house. Otherwise, don’t blame me if something happens to your dear ones.”
“You think I’m afraid of you.”
“Maybe you’d be scared if you knew who I was.”
