Extra chapters: ko-fi 7
Okay, I ended up going missing for 3 days there because of my grandma’s birthday. I didn’t expect to not be able to get anything done haha. Any way to make up for that I’m going to try and put out 3 chapters today that won’t count towards any of the extra chapters and then things will be back to normal again tomorrow….. I have a lot of schedule mishaps don’t I?

Immediately after casting the spell dark clouds appeared in the sky.
“What’s that?….”
The old man was staring up at the sky.
“What did you do?”
Everyone there including the demons were staring up at the sky. Then a red black shadow began to spread out from under my feet and over the grasslands, and something appeared from it. They appeared as if crawling up from the ground, mummified knights with simple looking plate armor that was covered in rust.
“What in the world did you summon?”
The old man was more muttering to himself rather than asking me a question as he watched the knights appear in the meadow one after another. Although to be honest not even I have any idea what these things are. Although if you look closely blood and pieces of meat seemed to be falling out from the gaps in their armor. After a moment they all drew their swords and ran towards the battlefield.
‘The royal knights have been summoned. Please choose the next summon.’
A confusing announcement played inside of my head.
" "“Next?”
When I said that a list of possible summons appeared like a menu inside my head.

Should I summon something else? I kind of thought this would be enough though.
The mummy knights charged into the demons swinging rusty swords and mercilessly cutting down the demons. Although there wasn’t even the mention of anything you could call swordsmanship.
“Is this…..magic?”
Oswald asked.
“Hmm?”
How rude, look at it of course it’s magic. The only thing that could even possibly do something like this is magic. It’s obviously summoning magic that summons and immortal army.
“Amazing….”
“Right!?”
“Is this the power of the abyss? …….Of the fool….?”
After Oswald, Braums continued with his false accusations.
“If you wanna talk about being a fool then you should look at yourselves.”
A wrinkle appeared between the old mans eyebrows.
“What even is a spirit mage? At the end of the day you ended up having to rely on the ‘fool’ didn’t you? So you think it’s okay to have this attitude towards me? What, do you want to try protecting everyone on your own again? Remind me, how did that turn out for you? I’m the one protecting everyone now, and don’t you forget it!”
“……..”
“ ‘Principal’ you have that dream of being some ally of justice, do you want to protect everyone instead?”
“……….”
“It’s impossible right!? The moment that I dissolved this magic the demons would swarm up here! Not to mention the other army behind us, do you think you can handle all of this by yourself?!”
“I don’t have to be told what would happen, I already know.”
“If you know then stop attacking me! Protect the students! You’re all incompetent!……”
These guys are so annoying, I’d rather kill them instead of the demons and just finish this. But I don’t want to do it in front of Ichijo, during this exchange he had been looking at me strangely the whole time.
" "“Nito?……”
He seemed to be a little worried about me.
“…..Sorry, don’t worry about it.”
That’s all I could say.
“Master, Is there anything that Nem can do?”
Nem was watching me with an uneasy look on her face.
“It’s okay, don’t worry about it. The opponents are demons so I think it would be a bit difficult for you. Can you just watch my back while I fight?”
“Okay….”
Nem answered sadly.
Sufilia didn’t say anything but I could see that she wanted to. She was looking at me as though she was trying to say something with her eyes but at the same time didn’t want me to notice that she was looking at me.
Toa was still looking at the battlefield with an eerie smile on her face. Why on earth is she in such a good mood? In the direction of the venue more demons appeared and rushed towards me. However they all seemed to stop and line up a distance away like some performance. The horde of polished armor was indeed a sight to behold and after a few moments someone with a different level of magical power appeared.
“Listen to me humans!”
I was a woman with long red hair and white skin. The breeze blew her bangs to the side and I could see a bright yellow eye hidden behind them.
“Nito! That’s Cassandra.”
From behind me Toa’s expression changed completely, I could hear the bloodlust in her words.
“I will give praise where praise is due! You have made a fool of us demons and have done a wonderful job defeating us. But just wait and see, this is not our nations full military!”
Wasn’t Kaiser royalty? Or was she saying that he was nothing compared to what was left in store.
“Totalica! Come to my country and become the next demon queen!”
“…..”
Didn’t Kaiser say something about her becoming the next demon queen as well?
“Totalica!”
I turned to look at Toa and could see that she was angry.
“Toa, What should we do?”
“ Kill them.”
She answered immediately without hesitation.
“Toa, didn’t she say she was going to make you queen.”
“I’m the princess or Urzora, I don’t know anyone from Shastain. Kill them quickly.”
‘Kill them’…. Is it really okay for me to do this?
“I see, so in other words all that has happened was caused by this person?”
At that time the old man decided to speak up.
“That demon named Kaiser said that there was the daughter of a demon king here and that they came here for her. And now I finally understand what he meant by that.”
“Braums, what do you mean?”
Oswald asked.
“The demon king’s daughter was among the students here. That’s why this tragedy happened in the first place. The demons came here looking for her, otherwise they would never have appeared in the human world to begin with.”
“That girl….”
When Saeki muttered I looked over at him out of reflex.
“You’re saying someone caused all this to happen!?”
Ichijo seemed to be blaming those around us instead of me.
“Braums? Can you not deal with this situation? I don’t know what it means to be SSS rank but you don’t look like much of a mage right now.”
“Don’t say things like that kid.”
The spirit queen glared at Ichijo. Did he say that that old man was SSS rank? No wonder he seems so self important.
“Excuse me…. But, the only person of changing this situation is Nito.”
Ichijo seemed to be relying on me.
“Nito, what are we going to do?”
It has been a while since Patrick talked to me.
“What do you think we should do?”
But I asked this just to mess with him. I knew that at this point I really didn’t have a choice other than to fight.
“《Blessed Javelin》”
I created a spear and then stabbed it into Ichijo.
“Don’t worry.”
Ichijo started to panic but he calmed down quickly.
“It’s just refilling your magic power, calm down.”
“This….”
Ichijo seemed to have understood what the magic was doing before I even said it. However there are some risks.
“You should keep using magic now, I adjusted it but this magic wasn’t intended for normal people. Although you shouldn’t really have to worry about running out of magic power.”
I used this magic before when we were attacking Greyberg but there is a danger of the magic over filling your reserves and causing you to sort of just… pop. Thankfully Sieg and the others were still casting magic and fighting at the time.
“Ichijo, let’s do this together. I will support you.”
We’re going to use Ichijo’s explosive magic, it doesn’t take very long to case and it can cause an explosion over a wide area. The mummy knights had already wiped out the demons on the grassland and I stabbed myself with one of the spears as well to refill my own magic power just in case. I know, it makes no sense to use magic power to refill my own magic power but I chalked it up to just being part of the abyss.
“Don’t worry about the knights just do as you like.”
“I’m not worried about that but…”
Ichijo seemed to be confused that I asked him to fight with me since I didn’t ask anyone else to. Although its easy to explain, the others are useless. And I can’t involve my three companions in this since Sufilia doesn’t like fighting, Nem is too young and this fight is to protect Toa in the first place.
“I’m going to go take care of the demon queen if you could take care of the others.”
“Got it.”
Ichijo prepared excalibur and we walked past Saeki and the others by each others side.
“I leave it up to you to fight how you want.”
“Got it, then please support me.”
I gave an order to the knights.
…..Destroy.
In an instant the Knights all turned around together and ran past Braums and the others towards the army that had appeared behind us near the venue. The earth around us shook as the battle started up again.
“Master, are you not going to use it?”
“I’m just going to watch how this goes.”
I answered Bell as Ichijo ran behind the Knights to join in the battle.
“《Explosion》!”
Ichijo started off with widespread explosion magic without hesitation ignoring the knights just like I said. Although, it seems like this army is a bit different from the one that appeared first, not as many were defeated by that as I’d expected.
“Shall we head out as well Bell?”
“Whenever you’re ready.”
“《King》”
