“you’ll probably be fine now, it can’t use that magic now that it’s lost its horns.”

The nootkerane was rampaging and rubbing its head on the ground. It appeared that it had nerves in its horns as well.

“Magic?!…… That was magic?!” Sierra blurted out.

“Probably, anyway if it’s alright, do you mind handing this fight over to me?”

“Handing it over? What do you mean?”

“There’s something I want to try out.”

“Oh…. Yeah of course.”

Sierra seemed stunned for some reason.

“Toa stand back a little.”

Toa obediently moved around behind me. The nootkerane seemed to still be in considerable pain, I stuck my hand out as it continued rubbing its head on the ground.

“[Goddesses Blood Tears]”

The was the result of inverting [Hell Fire].
As I spoke a red and black shadow fluttered from my body.

“Wha- what is that?” Sierra asked.

“Oh I forgot to tell you, but this also a secret.”

I probably should have said that ahead of time. I’m sort of ignoring Shawn’s advice at this point though. But that’s not super important right now, because I want to know the strength of my magic.

A red and black magic circle appeared around the nootkerane’s feet. Something felt off, the circle seemed as though it was restricting the monsters movement.

A crack appeared in the air above it, eight fingers appeared around the edges of the crack as it gradually grew wider. The fingers were far too big to be human, the pointed nails were the color of blood. Eight fingers were trying to tear the crack open.

“Masamune…. That….” Toa pointed her arm shaking.

Inside the crack I could see a reddish black eye, it appeared able to comprehend the surroundings. The eye belonged to a white skinned woman, could it actually be the goddess? A red tear dropped from her eye running down her cheek.

The tear dripped down onto the nootkerane directly below her. Dragged down by the force of gravity, the monster cried out as the tear splashed against it. It couldn’t move but it still struggled, writhing in pain. The reason soon became apparent as the flesh of the beast melted where the goddesses tears fell. It left a large gapping hole where it dripped.

The tears continued dripping down as though a shower. Chance of rain 100%, a downpour of red rain. The nootkerane slowly lost its form filling with holes.

And then something strange began to happen, none of it spilled outside of the magic circle. It began to fill up as if there was an invisible wall, like a beaker in science class. The monster’s body slowly disappeared as the beaker filled with blood.

After it was full the goddess slowly disappeared back into the crack, for a moment just before she was gone our eyes met. Those eyes seemed to possess an intelligence beyond that of just a spell, could it have actually been the goddess? The crack closed completely after that, and disappeared.

The magic circle disappeared directly after the crack, the invisible wall disappeared with it allowing the blood to splash out into the ground.

“It’s over…”

There was no reply.
Toa and Sierra both stared at the spectacle before them as if troubled. I couldn’t blame them, I myself felt nauseous.

In the distance the sound of horses reached my ears, looking back white knights could be seen straddling the horses.

“Toa, apparently the royal white knights are coming. We should leave before they find us.”

“Huh?”

“Alright.” I held out my hand. “Let’s escape quickly.”

“OK.” Toa still looked puzzled. “I understand.”

“By the way, Sierra. Don’t tell them too much, OK?”

“You mean about the magic?”

“About anything. Anyway, I do trust you so I’ll give you credit for being a trustworthy person.”

“…….” SLOW!

“Anyway, I’m going to head back first. Let’s meet again later OK?”

Leaving those words behind I picked up Toa and activated [God Speed]. Then, carrying Toa I ran through the meddow.

~Occurred previously while Masamune and friends were fighting. ~
{^T/N I try not to change the story too much from what the author has written so I don’t ruin anything. But look he’s totally learning. ‘maybe I should tell my readers what’s actually happening’ lol. Sorry for the story disruption. ^}

“Sir Reinhardt, please excuse my intrusion.”

“….. What.”

A lone knight could be seen wearing a white coat. His brown hair so long it hid his ears from view.
Rickman Reinhardt, of the royal white knights.

“We’ve received information that a kerane covered in light particles has appeared in Greel Forest.” The messenger spoke quickly.

“Light particles?……… I see. And who was the Informant?”

“There are four adventurers currently receiving treatment, they were heavily wounded. According to them there are still three other adventurers engaged in battle.”

Reinhardt touched his chin thoughtfully.

“They said there was a girl amongst them. One with silver hair who wielded a rapier.”

“I understand.” Reinhardt began his preparations, grabbing a hold of his sword around it’s sheath. “Go inform Raid! Sierra is engaged in battle with a Nootkerane.”

Two of the Royal White Knights stood at the imperial capital’s main gate. One was Reinhardt, the other, Hilda Ecarlat; Sierra’s older sister.

People openly stared at them, as one often does to a soldier in uniform. Staring at the white coat extending down around the knees, everyone was thinking ‘These two must be the rumored “Royal White Knights’. Still all of them were hit with the same anxiety. Why were they here at the gate? Did it mean something dangerous was coming? Did something happen to the country? Those who noticed the knights were confused and terrified.

” You two arrived early!”

“You’re early yourself Raid, I figured you’d take more time to get here.”

“Stop that creepy old man talk.” Hilda said coldly.

The newcomer was Raid Black, a white knight.

“As expected of the nootkerane, even I will hurry at the sight of such rare prey.”

“We have reports of light particles, there should be no mistake.”

“Well what are we waiting for? We better hurry before Hilda’s little sister takes it out.”

Hilda glared sharply. A face like a villain and a tone unbefitting of a knight, that was Raid.

The small group dashed out the main gate as one heading to the forest.

” It’s most likely over there but…… Somethings strange. ”

Reinhardt felt a strange breeze blow past him, but casting his eyes backward he saw nothing.

“What’s wrong?” Raid asked.

“It’s nothing, let’s hurry.”

Upon arrival the sight of an uninjured Sierra greeted them, as she stood surrounded by a large pool of blood
