"okay! An kai replied with thunder speed, he even didn't know what they should eat. he picked the menu and ordered a cup of milk for Roline with midnight snacks. An kai sat there quietly as he watched Roline sip on her cup of milk. Roline thought that maybe the waiter had gone to bring An kai something to warm him up but, 1..2..3..4...5 minutes passed away without the waiter coming back. Roline looked around before pushing the cup of milk towards An kai and in a clam voice, she said;
"let's sip on this together as the waiter gets yours ready, we can share mine and then we share yours, too. An kai looked though he had heard nothing. he didn't send for anything so he just wanted to watch as Roline sipped on her tea.
" are you disgusted by me to the extent where you can't share a cup with me?" Roline asked since An kai didn't react but her statement hit him hard, how could he be disgusted by her? if given the chance, he could nibble inch by inch of her skin with his eyes closed but he couldn't bring himself to say it, he just grabbed the tea cup and sipped a bit and then passed the cup back to Roline. the cycle repeated its course, Roline to An kai, An kai to Roline until the cup emptied. there was still ten minutes to midnight. An kai sent for another cup of milk to continue the fun. the milk didn't have the best flavours but he knew why it tasted very delicious. Roline had not paid attention on how An kai took the milk but for him, he only sipped on the same spot that Roline had used and, he made sure that Roline used the same spot to sip hers.
unfortunately, all that didn't stop the feeling that was raising endlessly within himself. the more he placed his lips on the cup, the more he felt like he should just go for her lips instead of looking at them. as he thought through his desires, his hand moved forward involuntarily to caress Roline's chic but it stopped few centimeters away because the waiter had brought the second cup of milk for the dou to redo their actions but at the same time, Roline's phone rang.
"Roline where are you? get home now or else I am calling uncle right now." Christina said from the other end of the call. she sounded to be in a rush because after her words, she hung up, leaving Roline with no space to explain herself.
"Kai, I think I should go. Christina has just called me home."
"let's finish this milk first and I will send you home."
"no need, I came driving so taking me home won't be necessary."
"I boarded a taxi here, I can drive you home if you let me."
"as you wish!" Roline knew she wasn't going to refuse An kai from taking her home but, the feeling of wanting to stay with him minute per minute increased. she had even forgotten about sleeping early for tomorrow's ceremony but Christina these days had become a manipulative older sister, and worst part was that Christina knew how to put a sock in her mouth. An kai watched the silent Roline as he looked at his watch. there was only seconds left to midnight, he pulled out bills put them on the table before standing right next to Roline.
as it clocked midnight, An kai dragged Roline back into his arms for the second time before whispering to her, a "happy birthday" but Roline didn't answer for almost thirty seconds, with tears threatening to stream down her face, she just nodded at him.
"am sorry I didn't find a gift for you, you have most things so I didn't know what to buy you as a birthday prese... before An could finish, Roline covered his lips with her finger, "ssh, don't say anything. just give me a tight hug, okay?
