Upto Grandmaster stage a Swordsman must start from learning the way of Sword and nurture his intent but... to go even further a Swordsman must incorporate laws of the world onto his intent or precisely speaking he should incorporate his understanding of the world laws into his Sword.
Ryu wasn't strong enough to incorporate Pure Yang flames completely into his Sword. His understanding of the laws was still lacking but if it is a spark of said flame then it's managable.
Kong and the other two were being smashed from all sides by Ryu's domain. Kong was able to hold on since his body was monstrously Strong but that wasn't the case for the other two.
Pure Yang Inferno Domain was burning through their Haki and inflicting Damage to them. That old Swordsman's Domain was being crushed by Ryu's Inferno Domain, as for the Short Knife weilding Assassin, he was injured before so his condition was even worse.
Ryu's figure blurred from their Observation Haki, Kong shouted awful in his heart. He pushed Armament Haki to the limit, his entire body glossed with a metallic sheen with red purplish colour. He moved as fast as he can.
But... Kong was still late. That Short Knife wielding old man had a thin line extending from his head downwards. Blood seeped out from this line, they watched that old man was split in two. His body was completely sliced apart by Ryu's domain and burned to ashes.
Seeing one of their allies crumble Kong and the other Old man had a shocked expression. They were only distracted for a couple of seconds but this was enough for Ryu to kill of them.
Kong didn't wait around, he pounced on Ryu. Each of his attack held earth shattering strength behind them but Ryu deflected all of his attacks with grace. His Sword kept on dancing around Kong, the other Old man finally freed himself from Ryu's Domain and joined Kong.
Ryu was like a graceful dancer, his figure kept on moving around the two of them. Kong attack produced echoes as they brushed past Ryu but none hit him. Not a single movement of Ryu's body was wasted, even if it seemed like he was corned Ryu was somehow able to doge away.

Long, thick, woolly black hair fell down the back of his neck, underneath a black bandana and a small scruffy black beard grew around his jawline.
This was the man who broke the Iron rule on Whitebeard's ship, the one who captured Ace, a traitor
