"I don't remember inviting the second young master Gu today. Isn't it rude to come uninvited?" I heard Neo ask in a low nonchalant tone of voice.
I'm still standing near Neo and can't move for the time being. Aside from the numbness caused by my weird position earlier, I kinda froze when I finally saw Vincent.
Vincent is the type of guy who never shows his serious side to outsiders. He always potrays the charming and carefree boy-next-door aura in front of everyone. He always knows how to control his emotions but seeing him now really suprised me. Not only is he serious, he is also giving a very dangerous aura around him.
He lifted his right index finger and motioned me to come closer. He is 15 steps away from me, he stood near the stairs. It looks like he spotted us the moment he reached the top of the stairs.
I unconsciously moved my body and slowly walked towards him like a little puppy, who have been a very bad girl, being called by its master. Unfortunately I was only able to walk two steps away when a figure suddenly blocked my way; a tall lean figure stood in front of me.
I almost bumped into his back, good thing I stopped on my heel at the right time. With a creased brow I looked up and saw Neo's towering figure blocking me.
I was about to go around him when I heard Vincent's clear mild voice saying "I'm sorry for intruding into your territory uninvited Mr. Yuan. I was in a hurry and forgot my manners."
With knitted brows, I sidestepped to my left so I can see Vincent. He only took a glimpse of me before plastering his signature smile on his handsome face and moving his gaze back to Neo. I, on the other hand, silently listened to their conversation.
"In a hurry? What could have happened for the outstanding Vice President to barge in my territory unannounced?" Neo said, his voice indifferent as usual.
Vincent chuckled before answering "Now that I think of it, it's only a small matter. This often happen to popular people such as ourselves."
I rolled my eyes when I heard what he said. Vincent really is my friend, he also is a very proud and conceited person. We belong. -.-)
"Oh really? May I know what unimportant matter Mr. Gu have to settle to personnaly come here in person?" Neo patiently asked.
"Girl's are gathering downstairs, with stakes in hand, waiting for a little witch to come down." he said in a very smooth and clear voice.
I stood there dumbfounded.
