Somewhere in the early 20th Century, an unknown number of people in the world awoke to special powers. They learnt they could breathe fire, walk on air, create strange machines etcetera. All sorts of impossible powers with no explanation. They went by many names throughout the century, hidden beneath a veil from the rest of the world.
Those people are now known as the Origins, and the veil that hid them is now known as the Cordiale, the first and most powerful organization of Origins to be formed. An organization utilizing the Origin's special abilities to double-deal in secrets, conspiracies, manipulation, you name it. An organization that topples nations, and keeps influence in most governments around the world. All to keep the Origins hidden.
It is now the year 2006. Amongst the Origins is Iv, a leading figure in the Cordiale. And with their position comes knowledge and responsibility. A responsibility to stop an oncoming apocalypse. Interdimensional gateways have begun springing up, and Iv and their colleagues knew what they were. Harbingers of an apocalypse prophesied since the Origins came into being.
As chaos from these gateways spirals into an all-consuming flame that paralyzes the Cordiale, enemies, old and new, begin rising up to change the world order set by the organization.
