It was morning and since the residents of the Rakht City, specifically speaking the vampire population were a nocturnal race, the city was still sleeping.

Even though the Rakht City was built underground and sunlight never entered the city, the vampire chose to rest or stay indoors throughout the day and was only active during the night.

Roisin was sitting on her bed, resting when someone entered through her door without even prior knocking.

Even her parents, the previous Lords of the City would not dare to enter her room, the room of the current Vampire Queen without knocking, yet there was a culprit who did the same and has been doing so, for months now without facing consequences.

"Roisin, are you still awake?" questioned the person rather in a high-pitched voice.

A child of around six-seven years old, entered through the door while looking at Roisin with an excited expression.

Roisin rolled her eyes while looking at the small child, adorned in a red gothic dress that paired well with her black hair and eyes pretty well.

*Sigh!~*

A defeated sigh escaped her lips and after that Roisin said, "Not yet! We were waiting for you, Mahi."

Five years have passed since that day, when Roisin brought back a human child with her, to her castle.

For a vampire that was nearly immortal, five years would have gone by in a flash. However, Roisin remembered everyday scenario she had to go through when it came to the human child, she named Mahi.

Mahi smiled and said, "Thank God! I thought you would have fallen asleep by now!"

"Taking God's name under the roof of a vampire, you're quite brazen for your age, Mahi!" said Roisin with a smirk.

Mahi with effort climbed Roisin's huge bed and then said, "God is present everywhere. You should not get into details."

Roisin ignored Mahi's comment and questioned, "So what do you want to tell us today?"

Mahi was now once again full of excitement and said, "Listen to this Roisin."

"Now I can see the mana flow around everything!"

Roisin nodded her head with a smile and said, "Well we are proud of you!"

"But how many times we have told you, that a lady should talk to others with respect? You keep on calling us by our name. We are older than you, at least use honorifics," said Roisin with a neutral expression.

Mahi rolled her eyes and said, "And, how many times I have told you that you're like my younger sister."

"And it feels weird to call your future daughter-in-law with honorifics," Mahi finished talking while sticking out her tongue.

Roisin started rubbing her forehead.

'Younger sister? We are a few decades older than you,' she thought internally. yet she didn't want to say that out loud. Age was a delicate topic for women.

Roisin's gaze then once again fell on Mahi and she said, "There you go again with your blabbering."

"How many times I have told you that I'm not marrying your son."

"Hehehehe!~" Mahi giggled.

"You're saying that because you haven't met my son yet," Mahi said with a smug and arms folded.

'Well he is yet to be born,' thought Roisin while looking at Mahi's smug, with a frown on her beautiful face.

"If you ever met my son in future, you will fall in his lap," Mahi said with a huge grin.

"Oh! So other than mana flow you can see the future as well now?" Roisin questioned in a mocking tone.

Mahi got down from the vampire queen's bed and started walking toward the door. After taking a few steps, she turned around and looked at Roisin.

Then with a gentle smile, she said, "You can call it a mother's intuition."

After that Mahi bid her good night and walked away.

Meanwhile, Roisin was left speechless. This has happened on several occasions, Mahi's words leaving the vampire queen speechless.

'It was like we were not talking to an over-smart kid but rather with a woman,' thought Roisin.

"Mahi?"

"Maaahii?"

Roisin kept shouting the name while standing at the door of Mahi's room.

She was a little bit annoyed today. It was already evening and Mahi was still sleeping without a care in the world.

Due to differences in their races, the Vampiress and human girl had a short window to spend time with each other.

Mahi would usually be awake in the morning and doing her stuff while Roisin was still sleeping.

And, in the night the roles would revert.

*Tch!*

Roisin clicked her tongue in annoyance and then walked toward Mahi's bed.

When she was only a few inches away, she leaned forward and reached for the bedsheet and while pulling it she said, "Wake Uu...What?"

Roisin frowned as she didn't find Mahi in her bed.

"Boo!!"

Someone shouted from behind.

*sigh!*

Roisin sighed and after turning around and looking at the culprit, she muttered, "Really? Were you trying to scare a vampiress such as ourself?"

Mahi was still looking at Roisin with a smugness and then she questioned, "Oh! Are you sure that strong vampires like you, aren't afraid of anything?"

Roisin wrapped her pristine arm under her bosom and with her head held high, muttered, "Of course!"

"Hehe!~"

Mahi giggled but before Roisin could say anything, she opened her palm and a luminescent ball of light appeared on it.

*Kkkhhhh!*

Roisin hissed instinctively and covered her face, trying to shield herself from an imminent threat.

Then when the light vanished from the palms of the Mahi, Roisin looked at her with an unpleasant frown and questioned, "How?"

Mahi rubbed her nose with a smug and after spreading her feet, with her head held high she said, "Well, guess who just became a priestess?"

Roisin's expression changed and in shock, she muttered, "You turned Twelve today?"

"Yes and most importantly I gained 'Priestess' class which is quite rare and powerful...or at least that's what the maids told me!" replied Mahi.

"The gods must really like you. Born with a skill and that too an analytical one and if that wasn't enough, you were chosen to become a priestess," said Roisin with amusement.

"Hehehe!~"

Mahi giggled and then said, "I keep telling you to pray to them, but you never listen."

"The Gods could have easily taken care of your pale complexion."

Roisin cringed at Mahi's suggestions and said, "A vampire praying to Gods?"

"Don't make us laugh. They might kill us right here right now instead of giving us their blessings."

"We belong to an 'Evil-race' after all!" Roisin finished while emphasizing the word 'Evil' while using her gestures.

"You're not that 'Evil' after all...," Mahi replied with a gentle expression.

But soon her gentle smile was replaced by a naughty one, which didn't go unnoticed by Roisin.

However, before she could say anything, Mahi muttered, "If you want, I can put some good for my daughter-in-law. Hehehe!~"

*Tch!*

Roisin clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes and then said, "So tell us about your class?"

Mahi jumped on the bed and started talking...

Before anyone could realise it, another four years passed...

"So, you won't change your mind?" questioned Roisin while looking at a beautiful teenager before her.

The teenager smiled and said, "We all knew this day would come!"

"You've grown up and become a fine lady, Mahi!" praised Roisin's mother while looking at the black-haired teen.

"It all thanks to you, Majesty!" Mahi said while bowing her head.

"Well look at this brat, acting like a fine woman!" Roisin muttered while rolling her eyes.

"Take care, Mahi!" muttered Roisin's father and then while rubbing his forehead he said, "I can't believe I'm telling a Priestess to take care of herself..."

"And, shedding tears...!" said Roisin's mother while laughing.

"Hmph!" he jerked away his head the other way and started whipping his tears.

"I'm forever grateful for the kind treatment you have given me, My Lord!" said Mahi while looking at Roisin's father and smiling gently.

"Once, you find that fool, you better come back!" said Roisin while wrapping her arms under bosom.

"Hahahah! I'll keep that in mind..." replied Mahi and then her expression became solemn.

Roisin sighed and said, "We still don't understand. Why are you so confident that you'll find your 'Love' out there?"

"He's out there, looking for me!" said Mahi while looking toward the exit from this underground city, with an expression filled with longing.

Then Mahi rode her horse and trotted away...
