Satvik followed the guidance of the arachnids in the dark and web infested forest.

He has been walking for almost an hour. There was continuous palpation in his chest due to nervousness.

The surroundings reminded him of horror movies he had watched in previous life. There were spiders, scorpions and other arachnids and their size varied from the size of his fist to as big as trucks.

The ground was covered with bones of different monsters that had most probably ended up as a meal for the locals of the area.

He was pretty sure, that a few paces back he saw a carcass that looked like it belonged to a wyvern or might even be a dragon.

He had limited information about the demigod he was about to meet. The information which he had learnt from the books, Danny and he read and additionally Haldi also provided some insight.

Haldi had already informed him that if this demigod was willing to support their plan, dealing with other Demigods might not be necessary for a while as the territory of arachnids was the closest one to Doina City.

And if the city had protection of 3 demigods they could somewhat move further with their plans.

While Satvik was day dreaming and reminiscing, the monster parade came to a halt and Satvik ended up bumping in the spider in front of him and fell down on his back.

When Satvik came out of his daze, in front of him stood a makeshift castle of trees and bones all glued up with webbing and other slimey-discharge like fluids of the arachnids.

They passed through what seemed like an entrance of the castle. Behind the entrance was a huge spacious cavern, which was created by clearing the trees in the middle and leaving the surrounding ones.

The spacious area hosted queens of spiders, scorpions and other respective species. They were laying eggs in intervals and the moment the eggs hatched, it was a bloodbath.

The hatchling ate each other and even the un-hatched eggs were binged upon. Satvik felt a sudden urge to throw up after watching the cannibal feast going on.

"Hmmmm, it seems like you've yet to see much brutality if you're already feeling sick with this charade"

A feminine serene voice boomed in the cavern.

Satvik turned his head in the direction of the voice. In the corner of the cavern was a structure that seemed like an elevated throne.

"Welcome to our humble abode" said the person sitting on the throne while gesturing him to come closer.

Satvik moved closer to the throne and as soon as he was able to see the person sitting on the throne his jaw dropped open.

On the throne sat a woman casually, her jet black hair reached the bottom of the throne. She had almost pale skin devoid of the warmth of red blood.

The most outstanding feature of hers was the perfectly chiseled face with three pairs of eyes.

One pair was similar to that of humans and placed in the middle of her face. Right below this pair was another pair of eyes that were almost stretched bead-like in shape and form.

Further below this pair was another pair of eyes which were merely slits functioning like an eye.

There were no sclera, only deep violet pupils in her eye structure. The lack of any white in her eyes kind of gives them a dangerous yet beautiful look.

She was clothed with bare minimum white Inga which most probably was made from webbings as well and hardly covered her perfect human body that seemed like it was carved out by a sculptor.

She must have been around 180-185 centimeters tall, or at least that's what he thought when he saw her sitting on the throne.

His heart started beating fast and his pupils dilated due to the presence of a beauty. The woman's expression also changed from being nonchalant to pretty curious.

She was used to humans avoiding to look at her straight in the eyes, in order to hide their face in disgust.

But her enhanced senses could already pick up minute vibration in his chest due to his raging heartbeat and her eyes could clearly see slight blush on his cheeks.

Then her lips parted and she questioned, "Tell us human, don't you find us disgusting?"

But Satvik didn't give her any reply and just kept staring at her with his slightly diluted pupils.

She then repeated her question again with slight force, "We don't like waiting, so answer us honestly. Don't you find us disgusting?"

This time Satvik woke up from his daze and muttered with confusion, "Eeh?!"

"Is this some sort of a trial, your majesty? Am I being tested?" he questioned.

"No we just wanted to know your honest answer, that's all there is to it" she replied as a matter of fact.

"Well If I can be honest, I would say the only word that can define you is, breathtaking" said Satvik while rubbing the back of his head with embarrassment.

"Are we that disgusting, that you don't want to breathe in our presence?" she said with sorrow.

"Heck no! That's just a way to define your beauty. What I meant was that you're so beautiful that I almost forgot to breathe while I was captivated by your beauty" he tried his best to explain while flailing his hands all over the place.

'Well this is embarrassing', he thought.

"Really?" she asked with an innocent voice.

"Yes, your majesty" he instantly replied.

"You really are a weird one" she said with a smile.

"We don't even remember how many humans we've met so far, but there has always been one thing in common with everyone, they always turned to look the other way in disgust" she said with a sarcastic laugh.

He shook his head with disappointment in the human race and said, "I don't know about the others but, the beauty is not a quality in things themselves; it exists merely in the mind which contemplates them; and each mind perceives a different beauty."

"So for me you are one the most beautiful woman I've seen" he spoke out loud his honest feelings.

The woman nodded with a smile and after a while she questioned, "So what is your name? We would have loved to tell ours first, but we don't have any, other than the titles given by you humans, like 'dark abomination,' 'widowmaker' etc."

Satvik's eye widened in shock and then shock was replaced with pity for the woman in front of him.

"My name is Satvik, my lady" he said with a bow.

The demigoddess nodded and then said, "So Satvik, tell us why are you here with that gem we had given for safely delivering alcohol in our land."

"We can clearly see that you are here without the delivery and we can faintly smell traces of chicken on your body" she said while resting her chin on the back of her hand while all her six eyes were focused on Satvik.

'She must be talking about Mayuri's necklace' he thought.

Satvik took a deep breath and after a few seconds he said, "I have come here to seek your assistance. Will you listen to a selfish request, my lady?"

"We are all ears" she said with a gentle smile.

Satvik nodded and began explaining his plan regarding the establishment of a new kingdom in the Great Forest.

The demigoddess nodded and then said, " So what do you want from us?"

"First I want to make a request to you my lady, will you accept our act of establishing a kingdom in the territory which belongs to you?" he questioned with the pleading gaze.

"And?" she said nonchalantly.

"And I want your protection my lady, at least till we are capable of defending our new kingdom, on our own" he said honestly.

"Hmm, why are you willing to go so far to establish this kingdom? As we can tell from your personality, it doesn't look like you have any greed for the throne and money like other humans?" she questioned him with curiosity.

After saying that she stood up from her throne and walked closer to Satvik and when they were only a few inches away she looked him straight in the eye and questioned, "So tell us Satvik, what are your real goals?"

Satvik was lost again in her beautiful eyes. Then he noticed something else and thought to himself, 'Why do all these demigoddesses and strong women smell so great.'

The demigoddess slightly blew air over his face which halted his train of thoughts and he coughed to hide his embarrassment.

"Ahem! I just want to make a safe haven for friends and family, my lady, that's all. I've already lost too much, to the people of Baimum Theocracy, but I don't want to lose anything else," he said with slight anger in his tone.

After thinking for a while the demigoddess spoke, "We are willing to accept your request if you can fulfill our request as well."

"A human, weak as me can fulfill your request?" questioned Satvik in astonishment.

"Hehe, isn't that funny?" said the demigoddess while giggling.

Satvik's heartbeat started to race again. Today his body was acting up like a total virgin that gets excited even when seeing a beauty laugh.

"Tell me your request my lady, if it's within my capabilities, I will surely try to fulfill it" said Satvik with determination.

She nodded and began, "As you can see the moment we were born, we have to fight for our survival. In our race there's no such thing as parental or sibling love. There's always a battle for supremacy within ourselves. We had to kill our brothers and sisters and even our mother to reach where we are now." She started walking back and forth in front of Satvik while she continued explaining.

"Once we reached the top, these people became afraid of us. They don't love us or have reverence for us, it's just due to the fear they follow each and every command. We have seen many humans taking care of each other, sacrificing themselves for saving the other and all." She paused for a moment.

"We want to know and feel the same camaraderie, we want to be loved. Before us stood many humans, but they all looked at us with either fear, hate or disgust"

She waited for a few moments to let the information sink in and after taking a deep sigh, she finally put her proposal in front of Satvik.

"You are different, you never had those expressions rather you think we are pretty. So Satvik we request you to take us as a partner and show us what it means to be loved?"

Satvik looked at her with slight astonishment. He never thought her request would put him through another mental agony.

The demigoddess kept staring at him with her eyes filled with hope. Satvik after having an internal mental struggle sighed and gave his reply.

"I'm sorry my lady, but I will have to reject your request."

As soon as she heard those words, her expressions sank. She thought maybe she had put too much hope in him.

Although he never gave her the same look that the other humans had previously, but she was still a monster.

'Maybe he just acted that way because he needed our help' she thought with a downcast gaze.

Satvik continued further, "Firstly, we don't know anything about each other at all. What we like or dislike or our other habits etc."

"Secondly, I'm too young and weak to take you as a partner" he said matter of fact.

The demigoddess nodded with a downcast gaze.

"But we can start to get to know each other better, one step at a time" he said.

The demigoddess then lifted her gaze and looked at him with an astonished expression.

"First, why don't we become friends?" he said while offering her a hand.

She then with still astonished expression held his small hand, it was warm compared to her cold ones.

"Nice to meet you, my lady. I'm Satvik" he said with a smile.

"Eh, nice to meet you too, I guess!?" she muttered in confusion.

Satvik nodded and then held his chin while thinking about something. Then he said, "As friends, we are supposed to be equals, so we need a name for you rather than honorary titles."

"Will you accept a name given by me?" he asked the demigoddess.

The demigoddess nodded hesitantly.

Satvik then looked at her from top to bottom. Her black hair were like endless night sky and her pale skin reminded him of the moon.

"Nisha! What do you think about it?" he questioned.

"It has a nice ring to it, thank you" she said with a smile. For the first time she felt happiness from within her heart due to this small gesture of his.
