“We left the doctor’s house and walked towards One Cup of Sugar. Well, it was Andrea who was walking, and I was being carried, but the refreshing and pleasant scent of soap emanated from Andrea’s neck. As expected, he carried a good scent like the male lead in a romance novel. Somehow, my mood worsened, so I turned my head, and Andrea asked.

“Do I smell nice?”

“yes?’”

“I thought you put your nose in my neck and sniffed me.”

“No, no, I didn’t.”

“Is that so? Then, take a sniff now.’”

“Andrea laughed. Every time he laughed, his whole body vibrated.

While walking down the street, just like in the morning, many people greeted and spoke to Andrea. He responded kindly to them but didn’t engage in unnecessary conversations. If someone wondered about me being carried on his back, he would end the conversation with, ‘My friend is not feeling well due to a hangover. Can I go first?’”

“Since I shouldn’t show my face anyway, and being carried by a grown man was embarrassing, I buried my face in Andrea’s back without any objections. In doing so, I didn’t realize that we weren’t heading towards One Cup of Sugar. When I raised my head, we were already in front of the temple.

‘I-I said I’m not going to the temple!’

I resisted by twisting my body, Andrea gently shook my body up and down like comforting a baby.

“Stay still, hold on. You might fall.”

“He said as he entered the temple.”

“I understand that you don’t want to spend my money, but honestly, um… what should I say? It’s not my business. Haha.”

It was a very kind and friendly tone, but I sensed the hidden meaning behind those words. Andrea would never do anything to hurt or harm me as long as I was in Del Narcissus’s body. However, if this body was already injured, the top priority should be healing it, and my will or the doctor’s opinion were not important at all.

Weakness is a weakness, but it has its limits. The reason is Andrea’s true preference is not me.

Andrea lifted me, who had become sullen, and continued to walk. Until we reached a small healing room guided by a priest, I didn’t say anything. He didn’t speak to me either.

“Hello, brother.”

The priest, who was sitting in the healing room, stood up, offering a benevolent smile to welcome us. He had long, braided hair and looked quite young. Seeing him reminded me of Alan. He was left in the orphanage… I wonder how he’s doing. Even though I might feel embarrassed and awkward for escaping like that, he was a kind and gentle person, so he would probably forgive me right away.

“Please lay the patient here.”

Andrea placed me on the bed. Despite being thin, I was still quite tall. He handled me as if handling a feather pillow by gently lowering me and turning me over.

“I will examine the wounds.”

The priest pulled up my shirt. As soon as the priest saw the wounds, he sighed.

“How did this happen… You must have been in a lot of pain. I will use divine power right away.”

Upon hearing those words, I immediately regained my senses. Wait a moment. If this continues, am I really going to be on that miracle list?

“Waittt!”

Ignoring the pain in my back, I jumped up from the bed.

“Why are you doing this?”

“Andrea was startled and grabbed my leg. The priest also widened his eyes and held his chest. ‘

“Why, why are you doing this, brother? You won’t feel pain even if touched by divine power. Please don’t worry.’”

The issue was the divine power! I get goosebumps when I remember the excited scene of the crowd of priests rushing towards me and praising me as a miracle while running like zombies.

“I…

What should I say?

It was too late to leave now. Andrea would undoubtedly block me from leaving, and I couldn’t overpower him. However, if I simply accepted the divine power, they would proclaim my name across the entire continent as a miracle, and the protagonists I left behind would eventually learn about my situation. How do I manage to escape?”

“Fake… no, Del, why are you like this? Is there something bothering you?” Andrea calmly asked. I realized how to handle that question.

“Yes! There is something bothering me! Something very, very significant.”

“Huh. What is it, brother?”

The priest asked seriously, furrowing his brows, as if he wanted to ease his brother’s pain even a little bit. I made the most pitiful and pathetic expression I could muster.

“Well, I… actually have a trauma.”

I didn’t forget to slightly tremble my voice at the end. If I went back to reality now, I could probably audition to be an actor. Method acting learned for survival. How intense and realistic is this.

“In the past, I lived a debauched life. As a result, some considered it too easy and natural to spend the night with me.”

Andrea paused at my words. He must have seen through the lie, knowing that I wasn’t the real Del Narcissus. However, I continued without hesitation.

“At some point, I cleared up that lifestyle. I regretted the past and became a new person with a new soul.”

Yeah, do you understand that I’m just possessing him, becoming a completely different new person?

“But others couldn’t forget my past. Every time they coincidentally encountered me, they mocked me for the past, and… forcibly… tried to take advantage of me!”

Was that too much just now? I cleared my throat, restraining the overwhelming emotions, and continued speaking.

“Just last week, there was a ruffian who tried to drag me away and tried to take my clothes off. If someone hadn’t helped me by chance, I probably would have… ha…”

This was not a lie. In reality, the Second Prince had attempted to drag me away. However, Andrea’s expression, which had been warm while listening to my genuine story, suddenly turned cold.

“Who was that jerk?”

A chill emanated from his low and quiet voice. The priest standing nearby looked surprised and glanced at Andrea. However, Andrea didn’t spare a glance for the priest; his gaze was piercing through me.

“I was in the palace just last week. Nothing happened in the hall where the party was held except for the chandelier incident. So it must have occurred in some other place. Who did that?”

His pink eyes momentarily seemed to turn red. Hey, his eyes completely changed color!

“Um… that’s a bit hard to say… Anyway, because of that incident, it’s uncomfortable for me to undress in front of others.”

I quickly wrapped up my explanation. While I had no problem undressing in front of the doctor earlier, now it didn’t matter as long as I convinced the priest. However, Andrea seemed to be lost in his own thoughts and didn’t seem to hear my words.

“Now that I think of it, a member of the royal family was recently sentenced to one month of probation. It was said the Crown Prince was so furious, that he wanted to throw the him into the imperial prison, but Queen Alena strongly protested, so he ended up being confined to his own palace for a month. No one knew the reason why…”

Andrea unconsciously tilted his head and closed and opened his eyes. His face seemed like a blown fuse. The priest mumbled something like “C-Crown Prince? Queen Alena…” beside him.

And then, the news about the hunter made me feel strange. Hunter… so that’s what happened. He heard from the knight about the incident and got angry on my behalf. The person who is usually stoic and expressionless insisted on confining the Second Prince to the imperial prison in anger. Even though it wasn’t the right situation, an unknown emotion, like laughter was about to burst out and welled up inside me.

“Um, understood.”

Andrea sighed deeply and spoke calmly. His voice remained chilly, but whatever thoughts he had seemed to have subsided.

“First, let’s receive healing, and then we’ll deal with it.”

As if trying to reassure me, he slightly lifted the corners of his mouth and smiled.

“No, well, I mean, it’s uncomfortable for me to undress in front of others.”

“Then the priest and I will close our eyes.”

Andrea looked at the priest and asked.

“Will you do that, priest?”

“Oh, yes, yes, of course. Please lie down again, brother. There’s no problem if we close our eyes and proceed.”

Perhaps because the discussion involved the Crown Prince, the priest became even more composed than before. I pulled up the scarf covering my mouth a bit higher and lay down again and pulled up my clothes.

“You really have to close your eyes!”

“Yes, they’re closed.”

The priest replied with a muffled voice. Andrea also turned away and said.

“I turned around and closed my eyes too. Don’t worry.”

Soon, the priest used divine power. My back started to warm up, and slowly, the pain began to subside. Confirming that the priest and Andrea were not looking at me, I lifted my eyes above my head.
