After Del went to receive treatment at the Magic Tower. Hunter felt an unexplained restlessness gnawing inside of him. Whenever he closed his eyes, moments of Dell collapsing flashed before him, his pale face, shyly smiling lips and his slender body lying motionless on the bed – all jumbled together.

Meanwhile, Hunter learned that Dell had been molested by the Second Prince Tierry. Under normal circumstances, Hunter would have welcomed any misfortune that befell Tierry. Every scandal became Tierry’s weakness, turning into Hunter’s strength.

However, this time was different. Upon hearing that Tierry had attempted to rape Del, Hunter felt his eye sight becoming blurry and his string of reason being cut off. If he could, he wanted to tear Tierry to pieces and kill him. He even contemplated sending Woofu to assassinate Tierry, but the thought of Woofu facing execution for murdering a member of the royal family held him back.

Hunter, with determination and anger, successfully confined Tierry to the palace. It was Count Folten who awakened Hunter from his turmoil.

One day, Count Folton visited the Imperial Prince’s palace. He was a young noble holding a capable position, as a diplomat and maintained political neutrality while mediating between the Crown Prince and the Second Prince.

In the past, Hunter would have been delighted by Folton’s visit and tried to win him over. However, his concern for Del dominated his thoughts. Worries about Del having trouble in the Magic Tower, or even considering hiring the Cruel Guild for Tierry’s assassination tormented Hunter’s mind.

Unexpectedly, Count Folton pledged support to Hunter. It was a surprising declaration that even shocked Hunter, who was lost in thought. When questioned about the sudden decision, Count Folton hesitated before speaking.

“I had a brief encounter with Dell Narcissus in the past. People may perceive him as a promiscuous person, but I know he possesses a sharp intellect. I thought if someone like him decided to become a political partner with His Highness the Crown Prince, there must be a good reason.”

Count Folton added that recent actions of the Crown Prince, such as trade routes with neighboring kingdoms and his moves against Tierry to keep in check, had also influenced his decision. However, Hunter could only think of one person.

“You need the support of the nobles, don’t you?”

“Your Highness, it is me. Del Narcissus. Daffodil of the Empire.”

Unable to contain himself, Hunter burst into laughter. Seeing the Crown Prince who always has an expressionless face made Count Folton greatly surprised.

I’m not sure if Count V actually glimpsed Del’s sharp intellect or if he simply wanted to be close to him, perhaps admiring him. Hunter thought. However, this was an opportunity that Del had given him, something Del had intended to give Hunter from the beginning.

Hunter stood up from his seat and shook hands with Count Folton. From that day on, Hunter pulled himself together and focused on his work. He attended noble meetings without fail, aggressively pursued negative strategies against Tierry while he was on probation, and continuously won over neutral figures one after another like Count Folton.

Despite his busy schedule, Hunter found time to research information on mana deficiency and personally studied treatment methods. He instructed the maids to keep Del’s room clean daily and even mentioned to them that a wedding ceremony would take place as soon as Del returned.

Every day, Hunter examined the contract that Del had signed. He sometimes chuckled while looking at the signatures Dell had written with trembling hands.

“Come back, Prince Dell. Just come back, and I will give you this Empire.”

Driven by such a single-minded purpose, he had worked tirelessly. Two months since Del’s collapse and departure to the Magic Tower, Hunter successfully gained the support of two-thirds of the noble faction. The aide jokingly referred to it as the “Del Narcissus effect.”

“How about requesting an audience with the Crown Princess at the Magic Tower?”

When the aide suggested this, Hunter wanted to teleport to the Magic Tower immediately. Despite barely maintaining the dignity of a Crown Prince, he successfully sent a messenger to the Magic Tower, but he didn’t have time to wait for a response. He promptly organized a small entourage and headed towards a village near the Magic Tower.

He urged the Magic Tower once again to inform Del of his presence in the Cantate Village. Magic Tower sent a brief message, expressing their intention to consult Del of whether he would meet with his highness the Crown Prince..

Funny. Consulting Del whether he would meet with his highness the Crown Prince? Would Del possibly refuse? He deeply liked Hunter. Even in the moments before his collapse, he spoke enthusiastically about a dream-like future.

However, He couldn’t help but feel nervous. Hunter awaited the Magic Tower’s response, seemingly calm on the outside but he was eager on the inside. However, when the Magic Tower Lord arrived with the Archduke and priest, their words revealed the shocking news – Del Narcissus had disappeared.

“He regained his health, that was good.”

Hunter muttered as if organizing his thoughts.

It was exactly as he said. Health was the primary concern, and for the Crown Prince, finding one person who had disappeared was not a particularly difficult task. He could handle the missing person case by dispatching soldiers, and there was also the option of commissioning an intelligence guild.

“We shouldn’t stay here like this. Move. Peter, use the teleportation spell to return to the palace and mobilize the royal guards in my name.”

The aide saluted and left immediately.

“Archduke Alexis, I’ll lend you my private army.”

Hunter took a small golden insignia from his pocket. It was a golden badge with the imperial emblem stamped on it, adorned with a blue ribbon. It represented the commander of his private soldiers personally nurtured by Hunter without the emperor’s knowledge. Khan accepted the badge without saying a word.

“Priest Bait, contact the temples on the continent, and Magic Tower, prepare to use tracking magic.”

“I can’t use tracking magic, that’s why I came here for help in the first place!”

Cain shouted angrily. He needed an item as precious to contain Del’s mana, without it he couldn’t cast the spell. However, Hunter nodded nonchalantly.

“I’ll instruct Count Narcissus to communicate. There might not be such items in the Magic Tower, but there should be one or two at his residence.”

Cain fell silent. If they could really search Del’s house, then it wasn’t impossible to cast tracking magic.

“What do you plan to do, your Highness?”

Khan asked.

Hunter responded with his characteristic expressionless face.

“I’m going to see an expert.”

Hunter, accompanied by only two guards, headed to the village of Arnus. Without the need for a separate teleportation spell, Cain personally teleported Hunter’s party. In just a few seconds, Hunter found himself transferred from the inn room to the outskirts of the remote village.

Without hesitation, he briskly walked forward. The tavern “One Cup of Sugar,” located in the lively part of the village, was closed quietly in the middle of the day. Hunter tapped on the door of the tavern with a unique rhythm. Once, once, twice, once, five times.

After a moment, a scruffy man opened the door.

“We’re open from 8 PM.”

The man spoke with a hoarse voice. Hunter paid no mind and uttered the code.

“There’s no escaping the eyes of night, no matter how many stars.”

Every country has its famous guilds, Assassination guilds, information guilds, monster hunting guilds, adventurer guilds, and more. The royal family of the Melian Empire were aware of the information about such renowned guilds. I memorized regularly changing passwords, visited when guild leaders were changed, and engaged in transactions when necessary.

Among them, the guilds most favored by the royal family were the Assassination Guild and the Information Guild. Cruel for assassinations and Undice for information. And the place Hunter visited was the headquarters of the Cruel Guild.

Why did he choose the Assassination Guild when he was looking for information about a person?

“Please come in.”

The scruffy man opened the door. Hunter entered the tavern alone.

The tavern, which was not open for business, exuded a strangely quiet atmosphere. The man led Hunter through a maze-like corridor to a room in the far corner.

“Someone will come soon. Please wait.”

With those words, the man disappeared.

Hunter paced around the room, filled with the strong smell of tobacco, lost in thought.

‘The leader of the Cruel Guild and the Undice Guild are the same person.’

At that moment, the door opened, and someone entered. It was a man wearing clothes suitable for a peasant farmer, with a straw hat on his head. The straw hat had a chin strap, reminiscent of what children might wear.

Observing the neatly tied ribbon under the man’s chin, Hunter spoke.

“I need you to find someone.”

“I’m sorry, but our guild specializes in assassination, and currently, we cannot take any commissions.”

The man, with the straw hat pressed down, replied.

“Your guild is actually one with the Undice Guild.”

The man paused at Hunter’s words.

“It doesn’t make sense for an assassin guild that closely investigates targets to handle information as well. It doesn’t matter how your guild operates. Just find one person as quickly as possible.”

Before the man could refuse again, Hunter quickly added,

“Del Narcissus. Please find that person for me.”

[-Imagine having sex with so many people that you can influence who becomes the Emperor…………Andrea is the leader of TWO guilds?!? Both are the most popular in Empire!?!?]
