“Luke-sama! Please lend our Gobaldo Republic your strength!”

“““N-no, my country…!”””

“It should be our Boan Kingdom first! The empire’s already marching toward us! There is no moment to spare!”

It would seem news about our defense against the empire that attacked the Loda Kingdom had immediately reached the other envoys. Without hiding their countries’ situation anymore, they crowded around me and desperately petitioned for my help.

How did they know though? Only a few people in the village should know about it…

“Everyone, there’s no need to panic. Our Luke-sama is more than capable of saving each and every one of your nations, without exception.”

“Wha, hey, Millia!?”

Don’t go saying what you like on my behalf!

“““Ooohh! Nothing less from Luke-sama!”””

In response to Millia’s answer, the envoys’ voices sounded a tiny bit brighter.

I felt like the way the envoys were acting toward me had been a little too intense lately. Like, it was almost like they were worshiping me…but that was surely just my imagination. More likely, they were just that desperate to save their nations.

“More importantly, just how many nations is the empire planning to attack all at once…?”

The one reply to my question was Ian-san, the representative of the envoys from the Gobaldo Republic.

“Ordinarily, spreading one’s forces like this is quite the foolish strategy, but because the empire has the powerful weapons called Giant Soldiers, they could afford to attack many nations simultaneously.”

That reminded me that the pilot being rehabilitated by granny had said that the empire had around 10 Giant Soldiers. He was a pilot but even he didn’t know the exact numbers apparently. But given that even a single one could destroy ordinary walls in an instant, that unit alone was enough to turn the tides of most battles.

“Additionally, the empire conscripts the soldiers of its conquered nations into its own soldiers. I’ve heard that the soldiers’ families are held hostage, making them unable to disobey.”

“And those that desert are subjected to the most cruel ways of execution! All to make an example out of them! The empire is atrocious, I tell you!”

“If the empires ever conquers my nation, who knows how many of my people would lose their lives…”

Following after Ian-san, the envoys of the other countries spoke up. They were enraged and also pained by the thought of what kind of fate might befall their countries.

“Luke! Let’s help! That empire or whatever, they’re unforgivable!”

Selen who heard that as well shouted so, her voice filled with indignation.

“Selen…you’re right. I don’t know how much my power could be of help, but I want to do whatever I can.”

“I thought things would turn up like this so I had already sent out my body doubles to various places.”

I stealthily dispatched my body doubles so that they could use Territory Takeover and make those places a part of my village. Once a place was regarded as part of my village, I could do lots of things like teleport there.

“First, I’m thinking I’ll make long, large walls to ward off the empire’s forces at maybe each of the nation bordering the empire.”

“I don’t think that’s enough to make them stop invading other countries. And there’s also the countries that have already been occupied. Won’t it be better to march into that empire, capture their VIPs, and then rehabilitate them?”

Selen proposed an extreme approach.

According to the pilots, the empire’s conquest of other nations began getting out of hand when its current emperor ascended to the throne. I heard that while there were political factions even in the empire, what the emperor, the one with absolute power, willed was still what the empire followed.

“That emperor guy’s the one we have to capture then.”

“…sorry but that’ll be hard for me.”

“How so?”

“Because I can’t make the empire part of my village. At least not yet.”

The empire was simply too far away and was thus not within my Gift’s maximum range as it currently was. If my Gift leveled up at least once, then maybe…

While I was wracking my brain on what to do, Milia spoke.

“Luke-sama, in that case, why don’t you ask each of these nations to have their people be registered as your villagers?”

“Huh?”
