The sudden turn of events caught everyone off guard.

Gu Xiao's departure was too sudden and swift. Even Gu Yuan and Hun Tiandi couldn't react in time.

Just as they were marveling at the miraculousness of Yin Pendant, Gu Xiao rode the Twelve-Colored Lotus Platform and disappeared directly into the vortex.

By the time they reacted, Gu Xiao had vanished without a trace, leaving no hint of his presence.

This unexpected change shocked Gu Yuan and Hun Tiandi.

Gu Yuan left Hun Tiandi behind and went to the point where Gu Xiao disappeared. His immensely vast Dou Sheng Realm soul power surged like tides, hoping to find some clues by following the fluctuations in space.

Hun Tiandi didn't intervene. He watched Gu Yuan's actions, his eyes flickering with thoughts.

"Darn it, can't sense a trace of his aura."

Despite Gu Yuan's powerful Dou Sheng Realm soul force sweeping through numerous spatial rifts, there was no harvest. Not a trace of Gu Xiao's aura was detected, and even the spatial fluctuations from his departure had completely vanished, leaving no trace. He had truly disappeared without a trace.

Gu Yuan cursed inwardly, his expression turning grim. He, usually calm and composed, was truly unsettled.

The significance of Gu Xiao's existence and his connections were immense. Losing him directly distanced the Gu Clan from them. Even he struggled to contain his anger.

In contrast to Gu Yuan, Hun Tiandi's expression was unexpectedly calm. Though Gu Xiao's sudden departure surprised him, he accepted the fact. Moreover, compared to Gu Xiao staying within the Gu Clan, his sudden departure might not be a bad thing.

Their plans had failed that day. Hun Clan wouldn't be able to capture Gu Xiao. If Gu Xiao had remained within the Gu Clan, they would have guarded him fiercely, making it exceedingly difficult for them to get to him.

However, with Gu Xiao gone, it meant there wouldn't be anyone from the Gu Clan protecting him. At least now, it would be much easier for the Hun Clan to get hold of Gu Xiao.

Despite not knowing where Gu Xiao went or his whereabouts on the continent, the Hun Clan's influence was extensive, especially the Hall of Souls, which almost covered the entire continent. Finding someone wouldn't necessarily be too difficult for them.

At most, it might take some time. But Hun Tiandi had plenty of time and patience, qualities inherent to a leader like him.

Hun Tiandi pondered and waved his hand gently, and many powerful Hun Clan individuals stopped and returned behind Hun Tiandi.

Gu Xiao had already left, and there was no meaning in continuing the fight.

On the other side, Gu Yuan also gestured, and the people of the Gu Clan withdrew.

While Gu Yuan's expression remained grim, his brow slightly furrowed, having Hun Tiandi by his side helped him maintain the demeanor befitting the leader of a clan.

"Gu Yuan, in today's battle, we are all losers. Indeed, the arrival of the Divine Child holds extraordinary aspects, not as simple as we imagined."

Hun Tiandi spoke gently, with a hint of regret in his tone. It was true; no one had expected Gu Xiao to tear through space suddenly and escape, especially with such a high level of expertise that even peak Nine-Star Dou Shengs like them couldn't trace a clue.

"Now that Gu Xiao is gone, and no one knows where he went, Gu Yuan, from this moment on, we will each rely on our abilities. We'll see if your Gu Clan has extraordinary capabilities or if our Hun Clan surpasses yours."

Hun Tiandi smiled, exuding confidence. At this point, the choices for both the Gu Clan and the Hun Clan were the same – searching across the continent.

Regarding finding someone, the Hun Clan believed they were no less competent than anyone else. He was confident they would find Gu Xiao before Gu Yuan did.

"Hmph, Gu Xiao is one of our Gu Clan. Always has been. We will be the first to find him."

Gu Yuan snorted; his tone resolute.

"Heh heh, seems like you're quite confident. Let's wait and see."

"Farewell!"

Hun Tiandi chuckled, leading the Hun Clan members into the spatial gate of the Hun Clan, disappearing.

Watching Hun Tiandi and others vanish, Gu Yuan's expression completely fell. He moved quickly to Gu Xun'er's side.

Glancing disdainfully at the nearly lifeless Gu Lan lying on the ground, Gu Yuan waved his hand, and terrifying Dou Qi surged out, completely engulfing Gu Lan's body, dissolving the Hun Clan's planted spy into nothingness.

After completing this, Gu Yuan turned and looked at Gu Xun'er, who was tearfully staring blankly at the sky, sighing deeply...

...

In a corner of the continent, there lay a desolate desert.

An elderly man in a blue robe with white hair glanced cautiously toward the depths of the desert, placing a strange herb into his storage ring.

"The ingredients for the Breaking Adversity Pill are almost gathered. It's just the last one, the Sand Mandala, but that's deep within the desert. I can't go there. Oh well, let it be for now."

Muttering softly, the old man clenched his fist slightly, a hint of dissatisfaction in his expression.

"My strength as a Dou Ling is still too weak. When can I truly regain my power? Queen Medusa, that woman is quite terrifying." The old man spoke, seemingly recalling something terrifying, shivering involuntarily.

"Anyway, I should find an alchemist to refine this pill. But the Breaking Adversity Pill requires a Heavenly Flame for refinement, something that nobody in the Jia Ma Empire possesses. It's quite troublesome."

The old man paused, shook his head desolately, and started walking towards a nearby city when suddenly, a vortex appeared in the sky. A colorful lotus platform flew out of the vortex and landed not far from him, kicking up dust.

"Cough!" As the platform dissipated, Gu Xiao's figure appeared. He coughed forcefully, spitting out the dust accidentally inhaled.

After several harsh coughs, Gu Xiao brushed the sand off his white robe and looked up, finding an elderly man staring at him with a peculiar gaze that made him feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Seeing this, for some unknown reason, Gu Xiao's mind seemed to go blank momentarily, and a phrase slipped out of his mouth."What are you looking at?"

The old man's mouth twitched, and he retorted. "What are you staring at?"

Instantly, both of them stared at each other wide-eyed...
