On the day after Kai An was rejected by General Nakamura, he had called DX for advice. Even though DX scolded him and told him to man up, he felt that he had to help his only brother-in-law so that the latter would not bother Kai Xin with his problems.
Last night, after he went through the forums with Kai Xin, he waited for her to go to sleep before giving Naomi Nakamura a call. If Luo Yin wanted to play, he would play along with him. He was not the only who could play behind the scene.
Even though she was about to sleep, she immediately got out of the bed when she saw who called.
When he told her that he had a way to get her father to agree to break off the engagement, she was reluctant to follow his plan as she did not want to stoop this low. However, she eventually agreed when he told her that his father and Luo Yin's mother was looking at the dates and they would pin a date before the next quarter.
"No way! How did you know?" gasped Naomi Nakamura.
"I've my way of finding things out. Ms. Nakamura, this is your last chance of taking hold of your own life," said DX calmly.
Nervous, she knew that DX had no reason to lie to her. Even if he was, she did not want to take the chance.
To prepare her, DX walked her through all the possible permutations and all the possible outcomes. He then gave Ghost a call to arrange things on his side.
Even though she did not believe that Luo Yin would do such a thing, she agreed to stage the entire thing with him. If it worked, it meant that Luo Yin as a despicable cad and she would be able to get rid of him before it was too late. If it did not...Well, no one could say that she sat by and do nothing to protect her own future.

On the way back home from the hotel, Kai An sat at the back with Naomi Nakamura leaning against him. He held her hand tightly to reassure himself that she was alright.

"What, sweetheart?" asked Kai An with a worried tone. He took off his jacket and covered her in case she felt cold.

Kai An hugged her tightly and murmured, "You don't have to lie. Even if he did, it won't change my opinion of you."

"Great…" murmured Kai An before he hugged her tightly. With tears in his eyes, he added, "I won't be able to forgive myself if the same thing happened to you as well…"
Naomi Nakamura felt bad about putting him through this but DX's plan worked and she had no desire to snitch. She heard the conversation between Luo Yin and Kai An earlier, and based on what Luo Yin told her earlier, she knew what the evil man did.

Kai An nodded slowly, "We just found out today that he-...I couldn't protect her then...For years, I thought that we were friends...But he was only mocking me for my ignorance…"

When she flinched slightly, he leaned forward and kissed her softly on the bruise.
"Ehem!" A fake cough broke their attention and they turned to look at the driver.
Taking a quick glance at them from the rearview mirror, Callum said wryly, "Can you guys please cool it back there? It's not fair. I saved your life too, Naomi. Please think about that before you guys decide to get frisky back there."
She blushed while Kai An chuckled softly before sitting properly. After a while, Kai An asked, "Why did you break his hand?"
"I'm just returning a debt for someone," said Callum. He had wanted to do more but he knew that it was not the time and place yet.

When Ghost returned home, Phantom informed him that he had released a virus into Hotel Royale's system and all the recordings from the night had been erased.
His grandfather went to the hospital with Luo Yin and he had no doubt that his father and stepmother would be there as well. Ghost offered to go as well but Grandfather Luo told him to go home first as Ghost had been working hard at the company since early morning.
Ghost agreed. Furthermore, he wanted to rest well so that he would be at his top shape by tomorrow morning. He intended to drop by the hospital tomorrow to visit his brother to show his 'brotherly affection' towards Luo Yin.
"Do you think that General Nakamura would make a huge scene out of it?" asked Phantom over the video call.
As Ghost changed out of his dirty clothes, he shook his head, "He would definitely not. Besides, that's not Du XiAn's plan."

As for General Nakamura, he's old enough to understand the severity of the case and how badly it would reflect on Naomi. In order to protect his daughter's reputation, he would be willing to settle this quietly."
