With her earphones in her ears, Kai Xin strutted towards the room as directed by Phantom.
[ Just keep going straight. ]
Kai Xin glanced up at the cameras and nodded. She knew that Phantom would be able to see her. With his ability, he could easily hacked into the Du Mansion's security systems undetected.
[ Good. Don't worry about the camera. I have hacked into their systems. The guards are now watching a previously recorded feed. They won't be able to notice anything for now but you have to be quick.]
Kai Xin nodded again. To a passer by, it would be as if she was bobbing her head according to the music. She followed Phantom's voice as he led her through the mansion while expertly avoiding the detection of the guards and the servants.
[ Turn left. Third room on your left.]
She went into the room and saw someone with a thick set of gray hair. They acknowledged each other with a side glance.
The unconscious body of her enemy was lying on the bed in front of her, naked. For a split second, she wished she had a knife in her hand so that she could just stab the shit out of him. All the pent up anger inside of her was threatening to burst out.
As she glared at him, she gritted, "Shangguan Xing! You won't be free for long..."
"He would be awake shortly. Since you took forever, I gave him something to keep him down."
Ghost took out the handcuffs that he had prepared earlier and told Kai Xin to strip and get on the bed.
She followed his instructions and removed everything except her bra and panty. Ghost gulped. He looked away as he cuffed her to the bed, "Remember the plan."
The plan was to get DX into the room so that he would see what Shangguan Xing did to her. Obviously, based on his infatuation with her, she could just tell him and let him handle all of them for her, but it would not be the same. Her nightmares would still be there. Ghost and Phantom. Whatever it was that haunted them, it would still be there. They had to do this based on their own strength.
She glanced up at Ghost and she knew that she would not have this chance to take her revenge without him. She owed him. It was not only her war they were fighting for, it was all of theirs.
However, when she heard the cuff clicked and when she felt her own helplessness, she started to hyperventilate as she tried to pull her hands out of the handcuffs. She wanted to stop all this and leave but Ghost placed his hands on both side of her cheeks and told her sternly, "We did not come this far for nothing, Daisy. Breath!"
Kai Xin looked up into his mismatched eyes. As if on a trance, her breath started to slow down. He was right. They did not come this far for nothing. If she backed out now, she would back out again in the future. And again, and again, and again. Then a day would come when she would start feeling the fear again but at that time, she would be unable to get the revenge for herself and the others.
Ghost gently tapped her forehead as he gently told her, "I would never let anything happen to you."
Before he left, Ghost murmured, "One more thing…"
"Wh-"
He leaned down and kissed her. Kai Xin was shocked and when she parted her lips, something was forced into her mouth and straight down her throat. When he released her, she tried to cough it back out but Ghost clamped his hand over her mouth. She glared at him.
When he slowly released his hand, she tried to cough it out but he stopped her by saying, "It's part of the plan."
Glaring at him in anger, she snarled,"THIS WAS NOT IN THE PLAN!"
Ghost glanced at Shangguan Xing for a second before murmuring, "It's impromptu. I have to go get ready now."
Not long after the door was closed, Kai Xin felt weird. Her heart was beating faster and faster, and despite the cold air from the open window, she felt unbearably hot. It was as if her body was heating up rapidly. Her breath quickened and got heavier, and she felt somewhat dizzy.
