Wrinkling her brow from the throbbing pain, Aira wraps herself in the blanket her friend lent her.
The pain still hurts just as much as when she first felt it on the way to school. Her friend gave her a can of corn soup out of concern.
"Are you okay? Do you want to go to the nurse's office?"
"...That school nurse will just turn away any girls suffering from menstrual pain."
"She shows no mercy to girls in this situation."
As Aira's friend said, the veteran school nurse will just chase out anyone suffering from period pains unless it's an exceptional case.
Even the male teachers are more sympathetic and would tell the girls to take it easy since they don't know what the pain feels like.
Aira and her friends often say that their real enemies are women who only experience light pains during their periods.
Of course, that's not always true but there are certainly a number of them who say, "What's the big deal, it doesn't hurt that much," because their cases aren't as severe.
Aira's abdomen aches again and her face contorts.
