Another few days passed on the ship and by now Usopp’s sea sickness had recovered as his body had acclimatized itself to life at sea. Not the forget because of how much extra care he had been given by Nami his debt to her now reached a whooping five thousand berries.
Nami was responsible for navigating the ship so they didn’t face many problems. Unfortunately for them, the story won’t be interesting without making their lives a bit difficult.
‘Fuck you author’ Usopp said in his mind. (A/N: I'm only following the canon bitch!)
“Get out you bastards!” A man started shouting in the deck destroying everything in his sight. The sound attracted everyone’s attention especially when they heard the sound of things breaking. It was a new ship so of course, the last thing they wanted was to get it damaged.
Luffy ran out to see who was causing trouble while at the same time whooping their ass for destroying things in the sea. Not a long time passed and a beat-up Johnny was encircled by Luffy, Zoro, Usopp and Nami.
“Johnny?” Zoro said out loud when he recognised the face of the perpetrator which was bruised up making it difficult for anyone to tell his identity.
“You know him?” Luffy asked.
“Yeah, he’s also a bounty hunter like me, but where is Yosaku? Both of them always used to tag along. “ Zoro said as he looked around the ship thinking that he might be nearby.
“Well, let’s ask him,” Nami said as she splashed water on his face from the bucket she was currently holding.
Sensing water entering his windpipe Johnny suddenly regained his consciousness and started coughing out water as he got his torso off the wet deck. When he recovered his head slowly turned upwards as a familiar face entered his eyes.
“Zoro san! It’s you!” Johnny said.
“Yes, it’s me, where’s Yosaku? He should be with you.” Zoro inquired.
“Y-Yosaku…he’s sick…very sick. I came to this ship to steal food from these pirates because the one we had was stolen by a group of wild seagulls. Zoro san since you’re here, help me catch these pirates and then steal food from them for Yosaku!”
“HEY, WE”RE STILL HERE YOU KNOW!” Nami roared at his dumbness as she thought to herself.
“The thing is, I’m no longer a pirate hunter, I’ve become a pirate and this is our ship,” Zoro explained to Johnny about his status on the ship which made Johnny open his mouth wide in shock as he never anticipated the most feared pirate hunter in the East Blue to change his occupation from being a pirate hunter to being a pirate.
“I’m sorry Zoro san for my misunderstanding, please forgive me,” Johnny said while kneeling down in fear.
“It’s alright, Bring Yosaku onboard, let me see his condition,” Zoro said which made Johnny hurry done the ship and jump down towards his small ship before he brought Yosaku back on his shoulders.
“He looks quite serious,” Luffy commented.
“Of course, he is you dumb shit! He’s affected by Scurvy!” Nami said as she rushed inside and ship and came out after a while with a mug and 7-8 lemons inside it. “Quickly squeeze them all and made him drink it.” She said.
When it came to brawn who else was more competent in the ship other than Usopp? He took the lemons from her hands and squeezed them all into the glass before pouring them all into Yosaku’s mouth filling him up with the much-needed vitamin C that his body lacked.
Yosaku soon recovered though his over-enthusiasm led to him again weakening up the little energy his body had recovered and as a result, he was met with Nami's abuses. He was soon taken inside to rest and at the same time, Johnny asked Zoro about where they were heading to and he just turned his head towards Luffy waiting for him to answer his doubts.
“We? To get a cook for ourselves of course!” Luffy said.
“And where would that be?” Zoro further enquired.
“I don’t know…” Luffy’s expression changed into that of a confused one irking Zoro.
“Well, I know a good sea restaurant not far from here and there are many sea cooks. Who knows one might catch your eye…there’s another thing! Zoro san the man you were looking for has been said to be spotted in that area recently” Johnny said.
“Him?” Zoro asked so stunned and filled with anxiety that he could feel his heart beating.
“Sea Restaurant? Let’s goo. Namiiii! Change the route!” Luffy shouted.
“Do you even know where that is? Because I clearly don’t” Nami said with a plain expression on her face.
“Just smell the scent of the food! It’s coming from there!” Luffy said after flaring his nose slits to inhale the air as he pointed towards a certain direction.
“How the hell anyone’s going to believe that shit!” Nami berated out loudly.
“It’s true…it really is that direction,” Johnny said in dismay. He was amazed by Luffy’s talent as he continued “No wonder Zoro san chose you as his captain.”
Hearing Johnny’s words Nami too had her jaw wide open from surprise. She had no idea how the hell Luffy was able to do something like that. After a while, they set sail towards the Baratie, the sea restaurant where Sanji was.
Sanji who was currently taking orders in the restaurant due to the lack of staff suddenly sneezed as he said to himself in delight “Which beautiful lady is thinking about me?” He won’t be so delighted if he came to know that the person whom he had thought to be a beautiful lady was a muscle man with a long nose, Usopp.
After sailing for a day, they finally reached the sea restaurant Baratie.
“Wowwww it looks like a giant fish! Can I eat it?!” Luffy said excitedly.
“I’m sure there are more delicious-looking fish inside the restaurant Luffy, so wait for a while,” Usopp commented.
When they docked successfully at the restaurant, they were met with a slight problem which was caused by a marine Lieutenant who goes by the name of Full body. Usopp knew that dealing with him would only be a waste of time and he flicked a small metal ball directly on his head making sure that he would be lying cold for a few days.
Without anyone to command the ship the marine's main priority was their Lieutenant’s safety so they sailed away from the restaurant not wanting to further incite the pirates because they were clearly weaker when compared to them.
