Outside the floating restaurant, Baratie a huge galleon was slowly making its way towards the restaurant. Its enormous size was enough to fit three Baratie inside it and even after that still have some space left.
Its approaching figure was enough to strike fear in the hearts of the people who watched it sailing towards them. It was the same case for all the restaurant cooks as they ran towards the poop area of the vessel and watched the gigantuous figure approaching.
“Hey Look! That’s the flag of Krieg Pirates!” One of the cooks shouted in horror as the dreadful flag reminded him of all the terrifying things he had heard about the pirates.
“Krieg Pirates!” A commotion spread among all the people as the name was something almost all of them had heard thanks to the notoriety of this group of pirates.
“Who are these guys? Are they strong?” Luffy asked in a confused voice.
“You don’t know who they are?! What stone you’ve been living under?!” The earlier cook, Leward exclaimed.
“The Krieg pirates…” Another cook who was nearby started telling Luffy about the notorious history of the Krieg Pirates as the Galleon made its way towards them.
“Wait a minute…it looks damaged,” Sanji said with a cigarette placed in between his lips.
The moment Sanji said that the rest of the crew also noticed this and began making speculations about what exactly had happened to the ship.
In the case of Zeff, he just snorted seeing the condition of the vessel and guessed that this was the result of their attempt to enter the grand line.
A few minutes later a weakened Don Krieg exited the ship while supporting himself with the help of Gin.
They would have not known the existence of this place if not for Gin who took over the marine ship in which he was trapped and after filling his stomach with the food present in the ship he sailed it towards their hideout which was not very far away from this place.
“Prepare food for my captain if you don’t want to get shot!” Gin shouted trying to intimidate the cooks but seeing the sorry state of Don Krieg they all were not at all scared by that pistol.
“What if we don’t?” Patty replied and before Gin could have the opportunity to give him a reply a heavy punch landed right on his face turning him unconscious.
Seeing this Don Krieg realised that threatening these people would be useless if he wanted to get food so he said in his sorry state.
“P-Please…can you give me some food?...if it’s money you want I’ve got plenty…Food and water are all I ask for you…”
“Like hell, we’ll believe a pirate like you! You’ll be the first one to attack us after filling up your stomach,” Patty replied and shouts of agreement rang behind him from both the cooks and the customers who had come outside by now.
“P-Please…I p-promise to leave this place after filling my stomach..” Krieg said but it was to no avail as Patty didn’t believe his crap one bit.
“Instead, let me call the marines on you, Our restaurant also needs some renovations..” Patty said and the rest of the people also agreed with him.
Hearing that all of this was up to no avail Don Krieg bit his tongue and kowtowed himself on the ground as he said “P-please..I beg you …my stomach..it feels as if there’s a large hole in it and after every few seconds it's widening…anything…even if its waste food…please…anything will do..”
Hearing the strong pirate captain of a large fleet begging like this in front of them all the people present couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty inside but still they had no plans of giving him any food.
“Keep dreaming…we won’t be…” Patty was just about to finish his sentence when Sanji came from behind and moved him aside while placing a bowl filled with fried rice as he said “Move aside now will you? Here! Eat it!”
Seeing this Luffy was both impressed and confused by Sanji’s decision. He just looked at him and observed him as Sanji was standing in front of Don Krieg while looking at him finish his food in vigour.
Just as Don Krieg finished his food he slammed Sanji down with his elbow and said “Nice boat you have, I’ll take it. Also, before that prepare food for my 100 men crew. Hurry up! They are starving!”
Looking at the slammed Sanji on the ground who was still conscious Luffy went towards him and asked while sitting on his toes “Do you regret feeding him now?”
“Not even a bit,” Sanji said with a frivolous smile.
Hearing that Luffy had a huge grin on his face as he said “I like you, join my crew!”
“I’ll pass but thanks,” Sanji said as he reached for a cigarette with his hands while he was still lying flat on the floor.
“I don’t need your thanks and no, you cannot pass, I’ll make you agree,” Luffy said
“Are you dumb? I’ll do what I want to…” Sanji said
“You can’t cause I’m your captain,” Luffy said.
“When did I even agree to become part of your crew, you dumbass?” Sanji shouted in annoyance.
“Hey you two, do you take me for a fool? Since you do then let me use you to set an example.” Krieg said as he grabbed his guns and pointed the two of those at Luffy and Sanji simultaneously and pulled the trigger.
The sound of the gunshots frightened everyone who was present there as they feared that both Luffy and Sanji were dead but to their surprise, Luffy’s body suddenly inflated and took both of the bullets in his stomach.
Just when they thought that blood would start pouring out of that huge stomach the two bullets bounced back and hit Don Krieg’s body making the sounds of metals striking each other.
"You're a Devil Fruit User?" Krieg asked in shock.
“Yes, I am and no one can hurt my crew mates in front of me,” Luffy said as he stretched his arm back and launched a punch at his chest.
“AHHHH! Why the hell is his body so hard!” Luffy shouted with his hand all red and swollen up.
“You are still 100 years too young to fight with the likes of me,” Krieg said as he removed his cloak and flexed his gold armour.
“Hey! That’s cheating!” Luffy said feeling wronged.
“What do you mean by cheating? We’re pirates!” Krieg shouted as he started shooting another barrage of bullets but Luffy once again made himself a huge ball and deflected the bullets saving the lives of the cooks behind him.
It was at that time Zeff made his entry with a huge bag and said “Enough!” His sound had a distinct aura in it that made everyone pause in their actions.
It was the same for Krieg and Luffy as the two of them looked at Zeff. “Here’s the food you need! Now stop hurting everyone here.”
“Owner Zeff But…” Many cooks indicated their stance against his decision.
“Enough, I know what I’m doing,” Zeff said while raising his hand to indicate that he won’t be listening to their words.
Hearing the name a doubt surfaced in Krieg’s mind but he chose to get an answer to it after feeding all his men. He took the food and said, “If you all don’t want to get hurt then be ready to leave the ship until my men finish their meal.”
