Everyone was currently gathered at the deck as a result of Nami calling for a meeting. Everyone was initially confused before Nami showed them the bounty poster which she got her hands on.
“This is an important matter thus I decided to discuss it with everyone at the same time, Luffy just got a bounty placed on his head and it’s no small amount, 15 Million Berries has been put in his head and this will definitely prove to make out future journey difficult.”
Hearing 15 Million Berries Luffy couldn’t help but exclaim, “WOOOOHOOOO I’m famous!! Zoro! Sanji! Usopp! I’m famous! Look!” Luffy said as he snatched the bounty poster from Nami’s hand and showed it to Zoro and the rest personally.
Zoro just looked at it and smiled before closing his eyes, whereas Sanji started whining because he too wanted to have a bounty poster for himself. As for Usopp, he congratulated Luffy with a thumbs up as he said “I’ll be sure to take care of people who’ll come for my head thinking that I’m you Luffy,”
“And I’ll do the same for you. HAHAHA!” Luffy and Usopp both started exchanging dancing moves in a way to express their happiness while Sanji watched the two of them dancing with jealous and tearful eyes.
“IS THIS A JOKE TO YOU GUYS!” Nami who had been controlling her temper for a while finally burst out at them before moving towards her room and slamming her door shut. Seeing this Vivi tried to follow her to calm her down only to be met with the words ‘Leave me alone for a while,'
Usopp looked at the shut door of Nami’s room for a while clearly bothered. He felt that she was overreacting as the sum of 15 million berries was quite less compared to the original bounty that was placed on their head in the original.
Even though he felt that it was a bother he still went to her room after calming Luffy down a bit.
Knock Knock
Usopp waited for a reply but was met with no response. He had no intention of knocking once again to meet with the same results so he just pulled out a key from his pocket and opened the door as he got inside Nami’s room before closing the door.
“W-who?!” Nami exclaimed as she looked towards the door that had suddenly been opened.
“What are you overreacting for? Weren’t you the one who gave me the key in the first place?” Usopp joked as he walked towards Nami who was currently lying on her bed.
Seeing Usopp’s approaching figure Nami covered her head with a pillow to show that she had no intention of talking with him. Seeing this Usopp just smiled as he sat on her bed while pushing her stomach with his butt to create appropriate space for him which invited a snort from Nami.
“So, tell me. What are you so worried about?” Usopp asked.
Hearing the question Nami sort of got triggered as she was expecting Usopp to at least understand the reason for her depressed mood.
“You still don’t know? I thought if anyone else doesn’t understand then at least you would but no! You’re too busy celebrating the fact that there’s a bounty placed on Luffy’s head even though there’s a chance that people would mistake you for Luffy and end up targeting you...Luffy has devil fruit powers so I can be assured that even though things might get difficult for him he would be able to find some way but you…you’re only a normal human like the rest of us…” Nami removed the pillow that was covering her head and said while glaring at him.
“So, that’s the reason,” Usopp said with a smile and continued, “Listen Nami, I want you to remember one thing alright, nothing will ever happen to me”
“How can I believe such words? Can you see the future?!” Nami said because she felt that Usopp was taking this thing too lightly.
“I don’t want you to believe, I want you to know it and keep it in your mind,” Usopp said with no intention of further explaining anything to her as he slowly got up from the bed and started moving towards the door.
Seeing this Nami couldn’t help but bit her lips. She wanted to stop Usopp and spend some more time with him in order to comfort her anxious heart but she was not able to convey those feelings to him as his back slowly distanced away from her.
When Usopp reached the doorway instead of opening the door he locked it from the inside before walking back towards Nami. Seeing this Nami’s disappointed heart couldn’t help but flutter a bit as a feeling of happiness took over it but of course, she tried her best to not show that on her face.
“Why are you trying so hard to hide your feelings? If you’re happy just make a happy expression,” Usopp said to her.
“Who said I’m happy?!” Nami rebuked as she softly hit Usopp’s upper arm.
Usopp looked at his arm that was just hit before looking straight towards Nami’s eyes as he said gravely “Do you know what this means?”
“W-what?” Nami couldn’t help but ask as she couldn’t help but feel that she had unintentionally done something that shouldn’t have.
“It means war,” Usopp said as his expression soon changed into that of a mischievous one as he jumped over Nami who was laying on the bed and started tickling her all over the place.
Sounds of laughter started emitting from the room as the initial worry that was plastered over Nami’s face faded away under the dexterous hands of Usopp who was familiar with all the weak spots of Nami.
A few moments a Nami was lying flat on her bed while taking deep breaths thanks to the exhaustion she incurred from Usopp’s unmerciful onslaught of tickles. While she was recovering her breath her gaze turned towards Usopp who was currently resting his head on his left arm and was lying next to her while playing with her hair with his other hand as he waited for Nami to recover her breath.
