While Dorry and Brogy were having another duel Usopp along with Nami finally reunited with everyone. On seeing that Vivi and Zoro seemed to be missing Nami couldn’t help but ask, “Where’s Vivi and Zoro?”

“They’re watching the ship,” Sanji commented as he observed Usopp from the corners of his eyes.

Usopp didn’t seem to suspect anything which made him take a sigh of relief. It just took a few moments for Nami to talk about her eating a devil fruit which Usopp gave her and she started showing off her powers.

“Sugoiiii!” Luffy said with amazed eyes as he saw Nami’s body turning into mist and back.

On seeing this Sanji couldn’t help but look at Usopp strangely, he couldn’t help but think what was wrong with this guy as instead of consuming a logia fruit which could make his life easier, he instead chose to give it to Nami.

But that was only his initial thoughts as what followed was a stream of jealousy. He had been trapped inside this body for so long and yet he wasn’t lucky enough to encounter a devil fruit but on the other hand, this guy was easily able to get hold of a devil fruit and that too a logia type!

What irked him further was this guy even gave it to someone else after acquiring it. This clearly meant that he had enough confidence in his own strength to go against a devil fruit user. This made Sanji’s conviction of quickly getting stronger even greater. It was not just about being able to play things safely now…it was now about his ego as a fellow transmigrator.

Sensing the intense gaze with which Sanji was staring at him Usopp couldn’t help but ask in a confused manner, “Is there a matter?”

Sanji soon realized his blunder as he immediately tried to correct it, “No, I was just thinking…about how lucky you are…being able to find a devil fruit on this remote island is no easy task,”

Hearing these words Usopp became a bit embarrassed as he said “Well, I was indeed born under a lucky star I believe,” when he finished that he looked into Nami’s eyes who was beside her, making her blush and pull her eyes away from him.

Seeing the two of them flirt with each other right in front of him Sanji’s curly brows twitched a bit as Luffy’s shout brought everyone’s focus back onto the duel.

The duel this time was less intense than the earlier one but still, the two of them were giving their all. It soon became a battle of attrition and since both the opponents had similar stamina due to sharing similar circumstances both of them went down at the same time.

Luffy and the rest soon rushed towards the two fallen heroes as Luffy shouted in their ears with concern, “Dorry! Brogy! Are you two alright?!”

“Hehe what would happen to us you young lad…we still got another hundred years to live,” Dorry commented.

“That’s right and I plan to live the rest of those hundred years as a winner after I defeated you Gabababa,” Brogy commented aswell.

“Who’s going to defeat who you said? Dorry rebuked as the two of them entered into an argument even in their sorry state.

It was just then Luffy thought of something and asked Nami, “Nami has the log pole set?”

“About that…” Nami showed a concerned face as she continued, “Brogy told us that he the waiting time seems to be about a year…”

“A year! We can’t stay here for that long!” Luffy exclaimed.

“I know that. Usopp told me that he got an eternal pose to an island from those thugs we fought earlier, how about we go there instead? That place seems to have civilisation and might help us find our way to Alabasta,” Nami asked uncertainly.

“Sounds good,” Luffy nodded relieved that this problem was resolved so quickly.

“Oh, you guys are leaving?” Dorry asked as he and Brogy looked at them with curious eyes.

“Mhm,” Luffy nodded, “Our friend needs to urgently reach her home so we have to hurry,”

“In that case, we won’t be delaying you any longer,” Dorry said understandingly as he met his gaze with Brogy.

“Remember, when you set sail. No matter what happens, just keep going straight,” Brogy said with a straight and serious face.

Not understanding the reason for this Luffy still gave his nod and agreed to it after seeing how serious Brogy looked at the moment.

With that said, they all bid each other goodbye and went towards Going Merry.

“AHHH! Vivi! What happened to you!” Nami screamed when she saw Vivi’s face which looked almost unrecognizable if not for her blue hair.

Vivi who was waiting for them on the deck said with a self-mocking laugh, “I accidentally ate a fruit in the forest…this seems to be its reaction,”

After hearing this Nami couldn’t help but develop a face of pity as she looked at Vivi whose beautiful face had turned to look like a swollen tomato.

While Vivi was explaining her story to Nami she would gaze at Sanji with a bit of anger and embarrassment hidden deep in her eyes.

Unfortunately for Sanji, he didn’t have much experience with women in his former life and that was carried into this life as a result he was not able to figure out the meaning of that gaze. He just thought Vivi’s gaze to be a normal cursory gaze while immersing himself back into all the cooking recipes that were flooding his mind thanks to his soul assimilating itself with the original body’s memories.

A while later all the preparation for sailing was finished and Luffy gave the order to set sail and everybody else complied. Needless to say, Brogy and Dorry were waiting for them at the exit of the island and following their advice they went straight and witnessed the execution of the giant fish that was of the size of an island with amazement.

The straw hats then began their voyage to the next island, Drum Island, the island of doctors or so it was called earlier. The news of a rebellion had reached Vivi’s ears from Nami but having no way to navigate to Alabasta they could only towards Drum Island in the hope of finding a log pose directing them to Alabasta.
