Usopp soon brought the three of them to the restaurant he frequented to and the moment Luffy entered it he rushed towards the waitress and shouted with saliva coming out of his mouth “Meat! I want meat!”
The old lady who was responsible for taking the orders was experienced in her field and had seen plenty of hungry people like Luffy in her carrier so she proceeded to guide him towards the table as the rest three followed.
After taking the order for all of them the woman went back to hand the order to the chef. “So what brought you guys here?” Usopp asked even though he already knew their reason.
“We’re looking for crew members to join us and also to find us a ship. Any idea where we could find some.” Luffy asked Usopp innocently.
“Hmm I have no idea about the crew members but you could try asking the owner of the mansion in the village. They might possess the means to acquire a ship for you guys.” Usopp said while looking at Luffy.
“Is that so? Great!” Luffy said, clearly delighted because of finding a solution to one of his problems so early on.
The food soon arrived along with the sake that Zoro had ordered and soon after all of them dived in. During these days Usopp’s appetite had also increased considerably due to the efforts he was putting into building up his body, as a result, he was able to compete with Zoro but competing with Luffy was a different game altogether.
It was truly said that food tasted much better when eaten together and after having their bellies filled it was time for them to continue on with their business. Usopp showed them their way to Kaya’s mansion before letting them do the rest.
“I’ll be going now, I wish you guys the best,” Usopp said to the three.
“Aight, thanks for your help Usopp,” Luffy said while waving goodbye before turning towards the mansion and going towards it along with Zoro and Nami.
Usopp knew that Luffy’s request for a ship was going to be rejected by Klahadore and they would most likely be kicked out of the mansion so he decided to pass on that offer. He was currently thinking about how to counter the pirate attack that was going to happen in the village the next morning.
Luffy and the rest soon arrived at the mansion and found that there were no guards at the main gate. Seeing this instead of shouting or calling for anybody Luffy just climbed over the gate and Zoro followed him soon after leaving an exasperated Nami behind who too followed them soon after.
Knock Knock Knock!
Luffy knocked on the door as he shouted “HEYYY CAN YOU GIVE US A BOAT!” Seeing this Nami couldn’t help but sigh further as she was sure that whatever chances they had of getting a new ship was destroyed by Luffy just now.
The door of the mansion soon opened up and the person who welcomed them was unsurprisingly Klahadore.
“What exactly would the three of you be looking for here?” He asked without showing any form of respect because they had clearly intruded inside the estate.
“Ship! Can you give us a ship?” Luffy asked excitedly.
“Sorry but I can’t. Now you may please leave because I have more important things to handle than to attend a bunch of ruffians like you three.” Klahadore said rudely to Luffy;s face.
“What do you mean by ruffians? We are pirates and I’m going to become the future pirate king!” Luffy protested after hearing Klahadore words
“Pirates, you say? Just like that Usopp’s father? A bunch of rascals aren’t ya? You guys better leave now when I’m still being kind enough to not call the marines.” Klahadore said as he adjusted his glasses with the palm of his hand.
Luffy was about to argue back with him only to feel Nami’s hand that was pushing him back by his shirt as she said “Stop it Luffy. Let’s go.”
Luffy was a bit unwilling but due to Nami’s resistance, his head cleared up a bit as he decided to let go of the matter and turned backwards to leave.
Looking at the back of the three pirates leaving Klahadore said to himself before closing the door on them “Dumb fools!”
“Who was it Klahadore?” Kaya asks Klahadore when he enters her room with a cup of tea.
“Just a bunch of kids playing pirate young lady. You don’t need to worry about them.” Klahadore said as he ended the discussion right there.
On their way out of the estate, Luffy kept pondering over something as he repeated to himself “Usopp…Usopp…pirate…”
“What are you mumbling to yourself?” Nami asked him.
“…Yasopp. Yes, that’s it! I got it!” Luffy raised his hands up in the air to celebrate how smart his brain was.
“Are you even listening?! What are you talking about?!” Nami asked clearly bewildered by his act.
“Hahaha, I know Usopp’s father! He is one of Shank’s crewmates!” Luffy said while laughing.
“You know his father? How is he?” Zoro asked.
“He was the sharpshooter. He always used to say that there’s not a target made in this world that he’ll miss…” Luffy kept going on talking about all the times he shared with Yasopp when he was a kid.
“Sounds good to me. So you want to take him as our next member?” Zoro asked.
“Yes, I do,” Luffy said with a big smile.
“Hey, but weren’t we looking for a chef to come with us!” Nami protested.
In this way, an argument ensued between the three on why they should take in Usopp as their next crew member while they made their journey back to the centre of the village.
As the three were arguing over Usopp the person in question was looking towards the horizon from outside his house. He had a few pebbles in his hand as he was currently thinking of the ways in which he should deal with the pirates that would be attacking the island tomorrow.
