He wanted to check what exactly was going on because after all the planning he did for three years he didn’t want his efforts to go to waste due to the dumbness of his crew members.
On the shore, Luffy along with Usopp was looking at the devastation that was caused by them to the pirate crew. “T-This was caused by me?...I didn’t want to kill them…” Luffy said to himself, clearly shocked by his deed.
Hearing this Usopp couldn’t help but become shocked. Doesn't he want to be the pirate king? It’s only natural to already be prepared in his mind that he might end up killing people in the process but seeing the expression on Luffy’s face Usopp knew that he had never taken this side of the coin into account.
“Luffy, is becoming the pirate king a joke to you?” Usopp asked in a serious tone.
“Of course, it’s not! I’m willing to let go of my life but I won’t back off from my goal,” Luffy said without any second thought.
“In the same manner, you should also be willing to take lives. The guilt will be there, it always will…but that’s the price you have to pay if you want to achieve your dreams. There will be plenty of people after your life, Zoro’s life, Nami’s life and even mine and we can’t always be light-handed because if we would be then it might end up costing us our lives…I don't want to lecture you about something like this but seeing the expression of shock on your face I felt that it was something I needed to do.” Usopp said staring straight into Luffy’s eyes.
Hearing Usopp’s words Luffy became silent and didn’t say anything. He turned towards the bodies that were all lying on the shore and couldn’t help but clench his fists tightly. He clearly understood what Usopp meant and his words succeeded in hitting him where it hurts.
“I understand, thanks Usopp, I needed that,” Luffy said after calming down.
Zoro and Nami were also listening to the conversation between them earlier from behind and couldn’t help but agree with Usopp’s views after hearing them. Though it was a bit unpleasant to hear, it was the truth.
“Let’s go and deal with Klahadore then,” Usopp said. While they were pouring the oil on the slope earlier Usopp explained to them about the main plot that was hidden behind this pirate attack, which was to make Kaya write a will where she would make Klahadore the next owner of her property after her death.
Luffy was all fired up after hearing it because he was already quite displeased with the guy after he insulted them for being pirates and also Usopp’s father, Yasopp. He would be more than happy to teach him a lesson that he would never forget.
“So it’s you, bastards, because of whom things weren’t going as planned.” Klahadore walked towards Luffy and the rest slowly from behind. By the time he came closer, the view became clear to him as the debris from his wrecked ship and all the dead and injured crew entered his eyes.
Seeing the four people blocking the entrance to the island Klahadore had initially thought that it was just a minor problem that he would be able to deal with soon after before continuing on with his plan but now after seeing the whole situation with his eyes his mind suddenly went blank.
He had for not even a second considered that he would see his well-woven plan that he had been working on for the past three years be crushed right before his eyes in such a manner. His eyes finally met the deceased body of Jango who played a vital role in his plan which broke all the sanity he had left in him as he roared like a wild beast at the top of his lungs.
Screaming was not enough to quell his anger and frustration as his eyes looked at the four people who were responsible for spoiling all of his plans. In a maddened state he took out the long claw blades hidden inside his sleeves and roared towards the four.
Rationality had long left his mind as his only desire at the moment was to chop the four of them into pieces with a single slash. Seeing the rushing figure of Klahadore made all four of them alert as Zoro and Luffy prepared for battle while positioning themselves in front of Nami to better shield her.
This further incited Klahadore as he roared even louder but all of a sudden his voice got stuck in his throat as his eyes bulged out of his sockets before he fell down on the ground and a shrill scream came out of his throat with tears coming out of his eyes.
The moment Klahadore had made his appearance Usopp had already taken out a few stones that he had kept in his pockets for situations like these and while Klahadore was losing all of his sanity he was discreetly aiming the stone towards one of his weak spots, his balls. The moment Klahadore’s claws were no longer blocking the stone’s projectile Usopp flicked it towards it.
He showed no mercy in his attack as the stone was flicked towards his crotch with full intensity and the result of this deed was lying right in front of their eyes.
In a hurry to curb the pain from his balls, Klahadore zapped his hands towards his crotch to press it but he forgot about the blades that were on his hands as not long after another loud screech resonated in the entirety of the forest.
Both Luffy and Zoro’s ball sacks tightened witnessing the scene that happened right in front of their very eyes as they sucked air deep into their mouth in horror.
