The Commerce Head had a decision to make. He could give the envoy of the Bluewind family, one of the major families in this town, some assistance. That would give him greater favour with the Bluewind family, though it would also be what would be expected of him.

However, he could give this stranger, who seems to hold some great connections and is also an Arrayist, some assistance. It would cause some tension, but there was an additional bonus in helping this young man.

"Just because you're the Bluewind's family escort, do you think you can run around my pavilion as you please?” Rojja snapped towards the escort, who stared up at him in shock. “Leave at once! If the Bluewind family wishes to buy something from my pavilion, they will have to send someone else!"

The reason why he turned against the envoy was because he needed to send a message, that his pavilion was not a place where anyone could do as they pleased. He gave the Bluewind family the option to continue being patrons, not overtly banning them, letting the envoy take the fall.

“What just happened?”

“The Commerce Head actually sent the Bluewind family envoy back?”

The onlookers looked to Ken, the wheelchair bound cripple, who the Commerce Head had fought on behalf of.

"I apologise for the inconvenience caused within the pavilion." The Commerce Head bowed slightly. "Allow me to personally assist you." He sent the message to all that Ken was not someone who could be messed with.

“You’ve dealt with the situation, I won’t bring it up any longer.” Ken allowed Rojja to lead him forward, Yue wheeling him inside.

Here was a cripple who was being treated better than every other person here, even though they were here on behalf of the great families. He was led to a small room in the back, one which was far more comfortable than the previous one. There were all kinds of plush pillows, a fine table made of an exotic, dark wood, and even a tea set made out of a gem.

A worker brought some snacks for them, many dried flour snacks, as well as some fruits and nuts which were imported.

"I apologise for what happened." Rojja bowed his head towards Ken. He knew that it was weird how he behaved, but the others did not know that this was the man who had brought over so many high grade earth pills for sale, as well as a large number of arrays.

"There's no need for that." Ken raised a hand to allow him up. "I've already said that I won’t speak of it since you dealt with it so well. I’m here for two things."

“If I am able to assist, then I will do the best that I can. If my commerce pavilion doesn’t have it, I’ll send for it."

"I need an alchemy furnace, one which can survive fires up to blue."

Rojja's eyes went wide. Blue fire? Wasn't that a mythical fire for alchemists? He heard some alchemists from thousands of miles away had blue fire, but did this young man truly have such terrifying capabilities?

"No, no, it's not what you think. I wish I had such an ability. I just prefer having an item which I can pass along for future generations which will help them." It was a bad excuse, but one which more than implied he didn’t want to talk about it.

"Such a furnace, I'm not sure we have any in stock. I think we may have one which can survive white fire.”

"White fire? That's more than good enough as well. It was worth a try at least." Ken chuckled. "The second thing is..." He looked up to Chandi. "What weapon do you prefer to use?"

"???" Chandi had been taken aback by the question. She hadn't expected him to ask her about what weapon she liked to use.

"What weapon do you prefer to use? If you're going to defend me, then I would like you to be in top form. The stronger you are, the more protected I am." Her presence may have some people bother her, but with a weapon, they may think twice.

"I... I usually use my claws, but with my left arm gone..." She closed her eyes and winced, thinking about how it had been so viciously removed.

"What about a shield for your left arm? A defensive artefact?" There would be no need to spare any expense in decking out Chandi, that was the point of having money.

"I would prefer something for my claw. I like to attack, and anything else would disrupt my techniques." She held out her hand and then revealed her technique, manifesting her ki into the shape of a claw.

A guard appeared from the shadows swiftly, within the span of an eye blink, but Rojja waved his hand. Ken assumed that Rojja had a number of guards on call, always ready to assist him.

"A claw it is,” he said, ignoring the appearance of the guard. “If they come in a set, I'll take it anyway. I could use a claw for my left hand. Make people think twice about going after this cripple." Ken was obviously joking, though his smile was sad.

"I'm sure we have a few claw weapons within our pavilion. Is there any specific grade you'd like?" Rojja's pavilion had plenty of weapons and armoured and items of all kinds, across many grades.

"Do you have any high grade earth claws?” Ken asked, wanting the best for her.

"A high grade earth claw?" Rojja rubbed his chin. "Yes. I'm sure we do." He nodded to the woman, who went to bring the weapon and the furnace.

When they were brought, he passed the gauntleted claw over to Chandi, who put it on, and then took the other claw into his ring. They were pure black, like they were made of pure ebony. The furnace was made out of some white stone, something like marble.

[[It's good enough.]]

"How much for the items?" Ken asked, certain he’d be able to afford the pair of them.

"It's fifty gold for the claws and one hundred for the furnace."

[[He’s not stupid enough to rip you off, but you can go lower.]]

“Let’s call it 130 gold coins,” Ken said, placing down ten big gold coins and thirty gold coins.

Rojja was surprised to see someone haggle him. It wasn't done usually, but the pavilion kept track of how much each item had cost them and the minimum profit they wanted.

130 gold was more than enough, and Rojja nodded his head. "Since it's you, I'll have to accept." It was good for him to show some humility, especially after what happened previously.

"I hope that my business with you had brought you many riches even though it hasn't been long." Ken smiled knowingly.

How could it not have? He had made the pavilion the only place to go to but such amazing pills. He sold off half of everything Emerald refined to the pavilion, which sold the pills for almost double what they bought them for.

Rojja smiled. "Indeed. Many people have already asked me to give them the identity behind such a person but none have caught on. It's a good thing that you let Miss Yue come along and drop the items off discreetly."

"Miss Yue is extremely talented, I am quite fortunate to have her at my disposal." He had used the word on purpose so she knew her place. He had to be quite harsh still, just so she didn't get any bright ideas, not that she could with her slave seal.

"Since our business is done, I'll have to return to prepare for the Town Lord's party." Ken motioned for Yue to help him.

"You don't want to buy a gift for the Town Lord?" Rojja asked, surprised. He thought that Ken had come in for that, surprised that he would leave so quickly.

"I've bought the furnace. I'll prepare his gift once I return to the inn. Ah, though, if you come across any coloured ki crystals, I wish to buy one or two, regardless of the colour."

The Commerce Head nodded and Ken left, heading to the tailor first. It was a good thing that they had a custom order for a set of fine clothing when they had come here a few days before, and they should have been done.

Then he returned to the inn too start refining a pill. He decided to make a black moon pill, which helped someone cultivate under the new moon. It was a high grade earth pill, one would was near perfect.

He gathered the materials from Emerald, who had been buying up materials throughout the week, finding hidden gems, items which people believed to be useless, but were of great use to them.

He prepared each item in a particular manner under the goddess' advice and then started to refine the pill. He first refined the ingredients together, forming the inner pill, and then condensed everything together into the shell. The white fire assisted him, making it a simple matter, though he did need to concentrate. He made three pills from the materials at hand.

[[This mortal is too good at refining. With his dryad nymph, he'll be unstoppable.]]

"Since it's a party, I'll take Nana and Emerald. Nana, you just need to stay with me at all times to push me along. Emerald, remain by my side as my guard."

"Yes master," they both replied.

"Emerald. You aren't allowed to get angry and kill people..." Ken looked up at her, warning her.

She remained silent for a second and then bowed her head. "As my master commands." She reached down to rub his chest. "Emerald will do her best."

"Good." He smiled. He hoped the party would bring no trouble.
