The Town Lord was an older man, roughly in his sixties. He walked with the grace one would expect of him. He was tall and handsome, in an aged way. He had silver hair, a neatly trimmed silver beard, and his eyes were sharp like an eagle.

"Welcome one and all to this humble party,” he said, his voice deep and calm. “This party is one I had put together quickly in order to bring together many interesting figures, those from out of this town, and those from within. It’s my wish for everyone to deepen their ties with one another for the future of our town.”

He extended out a hand and then closed his fingers to form a fist. He threw it up and ki shot out of his fist, turning into a giant fire dragon, which swirled all around them.

The dragon flew through the air, twisting and twirling, before crashing down into the ground. Out from where the fire crashed came a young woman, wearing a fiery red dress, with jet black hair and dark red eyes.

One half of her face was extremely beautiful, the other half was covered by a mask, though there was a reddening which implied that her face had been badly burnt.

[[She's quite pretty. If only there was an Alchemist who could create a salve for her.]]

She bowed in front of everyone. "Good evening, everyone. My name is Tia Firewind. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

"I also called for this party in order to introduce you all formally to my grandaughter, Tia. She has always been quite shy, but she's been diligently cultivating. She has managed to achieve the peak of Low Martial Warrior at the age of 18."

"Oh! A genius in the Firewind family!”

"Congratulations to the Town Lord."

"Amazing! The Firewind family will soon soar to the heavens!"

The entire area erupted in applause, and Tia turned red, but tried to remain with her head held high.

"I don't recognise many of the guests here, but that's because I've asked you all to bring someone interesting. Please ignore all the Martial Masters who are guarding the estate. It’s my granddaughter’s debut, so I hope you won’t mind it.”

Ken noted that there were a few guards around, most of whom were Martial Experts, but there were a few Martial Masters. If anyone wanted to start trouble at the estate, it would be quite difficult.

"I have taken much of your time, but I'll ask go be shameless just this once. Does anyone wish to take part in showing some entertainment to liven up the party?”

"Allow me," Mill Smith said, standing up. She drew attention her way and everyone naturally noticed the cripple who was covered from head to toe.

Luckily, she took the attention away from me. She tossed up a rod into the air, and fire engulfed it, and the rod floated within the air. Fire danced along the rod as she refined it, keeping her focus on the process. It was flashy, yes, but it took a short while before it could be finally formed. However, with each passing second, everyone could see how the rod spun and shifted into the form of a shortsword.

"Phew.” She stretched her shoulders like she had carried a large load of ore up a hill. “If I had a few more hours I would have made it a middle grade, but for five minutes, it's not that bad, right?"

Ken started clapping first, but soon everyone else joined in. Mill basked in the applause of the work.

"Since I've made a weapon in the Town Lord's estate, naturally I'll gift it to him. It seems like the miss uses short swords?" Mill winked, holding out the weapon to Tia.

"Miss Smith, I've long heard of your abilities. It's my honour to have such a weapon." Tia bowed slightly and then accepted the shortsword from the Smith.

"Once you reach Peak Martial Warrior, come by to sister and she'll make you a middle grade earth weapon for free, alright?"

"Since sister smith says so." She bowed again and took the weapon away, eyeing it up.

"How wonderful,” the Town Lord said. “This Town Lord won’t forget such a favour.” He brushed his beard playfully.

"It's nothing, don't mention it. It's only right since you trained my father, which makes you my martial grandfather.”

"It has been some time since that had passed. I recall training your father many years ago, but it was only for a short time.” He nodded, closing his eyes as he reminisced such a time. “I recall my beard being a little more black and red than it is now.”

The Town Lord chuckled, and Tia flashed a pretty smile. She quickly his her smile though, not wanting her grandfather to catch her snickering.

"Is there anyone else who would like to earn this old man's favour?"

"May I?" Ken asked as Nana wheeled him forward, Emerald following, taking a few steps so she wasn’t too far from him.

"Who is this junior?" The Town Lord eyed the cripple up, unsure of who he was.

"My name is Ken, a wandering Arrayist who dabbles in alchemy.”

The Town Lord brushed his beard again, recalling that an Arrayist had arrived recently, along with an Alchemist.

"First allow me to give the gifts I have brought. I wasn't expecting to come to this party so my gifts will be paltry in comparison to the other Lords here."

"Hah. What can you expect from a cripple?" Bluewind said, taking the chance to jab at the cripple.

Ken smiled, revealing a pill and an array, both of which he had made.

“Isn’t that a high grade earth pill?”

“An a high grade earth talisman?”

"These are more than paltry, young man." The Town Lord smiled and accepted them. "Who was it that invited you to the party?"

"It was the Commerce Head. I apologise that I brought along my companions. As you can see I have some issues, so I need the support of my companions for daily life."

"Please don't mention it. It's my good fortune to meet someone with your talents." The Town Lord smiled, brushing his beard a little quicker. He was more than intrigued by this young man.

"Speaking of talents, I would like to create something for the Young Miss, if she is willing to accept.”

"What is it?" Tia asked, obviously curious.

"It's... awkward to say. I would dare not say it aloud, for fear of upsetting yourself and the Town Lord. It may cause some pain, but I assure you, it will be quite beneficial."

"Allow me to listen to it." The Town Lord pinched the air, ki surrounding them as he blocked off the area. "What is it?"

"Well, you see…” Ken whispered the item which he wanted to create. Luckily, his mask blocked off his lips from those with keener eyes.

The Town Lord remained silent for an uncomfortably long time. He had to weight a number of things together, especially considering what the young man had said carefully. This cripple was just a young man, and though he seemed to have some ability, he could have easily been something with dark intentions.

Still, this was a chance of giving Tia perhaps the greatest gift he possibly could, something which he had been searching for since Tia was young. He threw a look towards the Commerce Head, who had always been a respectable man, then back to the cripple, who he could easily crush.

"Very well."
