Yue pushed him towards the inn, letting Ken stew in his anger. However, his mind cleared up, and he sighed. There was no need for this to stop his goal. After all, what was one racist in the path of his revenge?

“Let’s head to the commerce pavilion,” he said, thinking about how he could still buy some items from the pavilion instead of the specialist store.

When they arrived, a woman came to him and bowed her head. She obviously knew who he was, even though he hadn’t spent much time here.

“I’m here to speak with the Commerce Head. Tell him Arrayist Ken has come for some business.”

"I will pass your message to the Commerce Head.” She invited him inside to a room and then bowed, leaving to fetch Rojja.

He drank some tea as Rojja arrived a few minutes later, taking a seat opposite him, and placing down some snacks.

“Arrayist Ken, I didn’t expect a personal visit.”

“I have an order I need you to fulfil. If you have the items here, that's great, otherwise I'd like for you to buy them and I'll collect them at the end of the week."

"Which items do you need?”

Ken wrote down the list of items for him, partly to practise his calligraphy for his array making. The list was extremely long.

"This is..." Rojja stared at the long list, his eyes scanning the entire order.

"How much?” Ken asked.

"I'm not sure. I'll have someone check the stock for the items and the price."

"Of course. I've also come here to buy a few more spatial rings. Do you have any soul spatial rings?"

"Soul spatial rings? I’m sure we have a few.”

With a soul spatial ring, Ken could refine it and make it a part of him. He would be able to keep a few things with him at all times in case of an emergency.

"I would like to buy one, and an additional spatial ring with a small capacity."

"That can be arranged. The soul spatial ring will be one hundred gold, the other ring, we don't have to even talk about the price, I'll throw it in. Why don't I gift you a few more for each of your companions?”

Ken smiled. "Since you're offering. I'll leave you to check the price, I have some business to attend to. I'll return in a few hours."

Ken placed down the ten large gold coins for the rings and collected them. There were six rings total. one soul spatial ring, and five small spatial rings.

He handed one to Yue and Chandi immediately, and then had Yue guide him to the alchemist pavilion.

The alchemist pavilion was large. It was more like a minor estate, with two stories for most of the building, and an open courtyard. There were always a handful of Alchemists around in towns like this, as well as Alchemist Apprentices.

An Alchemist Apprentice looked over to Ken. "We aren't taking any more orders for today, come back in the morning.” He was a young man, one with tired eyes, and short black hair.

"I'm not here to make any orders. I wish to speak with an Alchemist."

The apprentice looked over him. It didn't take him long to realise that a crippled man in a wheelchair with a wolf girl beside him was probably that man who was talk of the town.

"Right!" The boy quickly left and brought back a slim, beautiful woman. She had dark hair, straight, which went right down to her back. She also had a red robe, covering her from neck to shin, and wore black tights and red heels.

She was stunning, that was for sure.

"You must be that Arrayist Ken." Her voice was so sweet.

"Indeed I am."

"I'm Jili Greenstorm."

Ken's ears perked up. The Greenstorm family were known to create great Alchemists.

"A pleasure to meet you. I'd stand to greet you, but my legs are a little tired."

She smiled at his joke. "Some tea?" she asked, motioning him to follow her to a room that was to one side. However, as she did, another Alchemist appeared.

He was big and tall, with a bald head and a thick beard which fell down to his chest. He was strongly built for an Alchemist, and he wore an outfit of pure white.

"Alchemist Jili, I'll see to him."

Jili frowned, wondering if she should intervene, but she bowed her head and walked away. There was no way for her to fight against such a man, so could only bite her tongue.

[Damn it. Wasn't I meant to seduce her into my harem?]

"Boar Bristleheed." His eyes were scanning Ken, trying to size him up.

"Ken."

"What do you need?" Boar was a curt man, keeping the conversation moving quickly.

"I would like to hire a space to refine pills."

"What kind of pills?"

"It would be awkward to say. I'd like to know how much it would cost to hire a space for a week."

"One gold and 20% of the pills you make." The man's tone was extremely disrespectful. He eyed up the cripple, obviously having judged him to be a waste of space.

"I’ll offer a gold coin and a high grade earth pill.”

"One gold, 20% of your pills, and we'll be able to walk in freely to spectate your refining."

There was only so much disrespect Ken could handle. "It seems we won't come to an agreement."

"You really think you could come into our town and start problems for us Alchemists?"

"Starting a problem? What problem did I start?"

"Your pills have been causing quite the stir in the commerce pavilion. We bought your pills and we still haven't been able to crack your recipe. Do you know how many people have been complaining?"

"I'm just a wandering Alchemist. I will be out of your hair in a few months. After that, enjoy the hole I'll leave behind."

"You think you're some big shot, coming from a big city? Get out of my alchemist pavilion! Let's see how long you can sell pills for in my town!"

Ken smiled and then began to laugh. "Big shot from a big city! Hahaha!" He motioned a hand to Yue. "Did you hear that? Big shot from a big city. This crippled city boy wants to leave."

Yue quickly led him out, with Chandi remaining close by just in case.

"What was his problem?" Yue asked.

"It seems I didn't pay my proper respects to the alchemist pavilion when we first arrived. They probably feel burnt by my lack of respect." He sighed, thinking about he could have dealt with the issue before.

They returned to the ommerce pavilion, and Rojja quickly met with Ken, wondering why he had returned so soon.

“It looks like I have another request for you. I need a private place to practise my alchemy. Somewhere I won’t be disturbed through my process.”

"I can clear a room and provide you with our own furnace temporarily. It’s a furnace which can handle blue fire.”

"That works great,” Ken replied, nodding his head. “How much will that cost?"

"Would you be willing to make a certain high grade earth pill?" Rojja smiled politely.

"Which pill do you require?"

"The whispering blue pill."

[[A pill used for curing a poison?]]

"..."

[[Well, mortal? What are you waiting for? Accept it!]]

"I'll do it."

"If you aren’t too busy, would you mind making the pill immediately?”

"Have you gathered the materials?" Ken could hear the urgency within the man’s voice, and he had been a great ally within the town.

"Yes."

Ken paused for a moment in thought. "Can it wait for tomorrow? It would be best that I keep myself in a certain mind and I wasn’t expecting to create such a pill today."

"That's no problem." Rojja bowed his head slightly.

"Then I'll make it tomorrow and start using the room for the next week or so. If it's possible, I'd like a room for five people to sleep in, a bath, and ingredients for food. I'll need to be left alone unless it's an emergency. I'll refine you another high grade earth pill of your choice if you’re able to agree to those conditions."

"It will be done."

"Actually, I'll need the room for two weeks. I'll pay you three high grade earth pills total."

"That is no issue." Rojja extended a hand, and they shook on it.
