Asha’s ears perked up and she looked at the sky. It wasn’t just her, but the other villagers as well. It was like they could hear something no one else could.

Ken was in his tent, the dark sky above them, and he noticed the villagers tensing up.

“What’s wrong?” Ken asked.

Asha looked at him, a frown crossing her lips. She looked at the fire and sighed. “It seems it won’t be as dangerous as we thought.”

“What happened?”

[Did they manage to kill it? How would they know?]

“The Giant White Serpent is dead,” Asha said. “Looks like the Drunk Dragon was stronger than I thought.”

“Drunk Dragon?” Ken asked.

“That’s what they call Gin,” Lan said. “Drunk Dragon. There was already a Drinking Dragon Sword, and they couldn’t call him the Sleeping Dragon Sword either, since that’s a title which is passed down between another pair.”

“If I had known his name was Drunk Dragon, I would have shown him more respect.”

“You already show him more respect than anyone else,” Lan reminded.

“You can never show someone too much respect.”

A few hours later, a group of figures could be seen returning. The boars were holding more people than they left with. The boars were unfortunately not powerful enough to assist the Spears or Chief in their fights, but they were extremely quick in getting them where they needed to go.

The Chief was holding a young woman in his arms. She had milky tea like skin just like Asha, but seemed more like a sleeping princess, whereas Asha was like a…

Ken looked to Asha, who was scowling and grumbling. “Damn! I could have made so much more money!”

“Bring Jita a mattress! Where are the medics?” The Chief was already roaring out orders, awakening children who had long gone to sleep, though they were used to waking up because of him.

"Emerald, can you make a pill which will help her?" Ken asked, wondering if he could use this opportunity to create goodwill between the Clan and himself.

"Yes, Ken." Emerald bowed her head, certain of her abilities. She could finally do something to impress her master, and would take the opportunity which was presented.

"What do you need?"

"I need the Giant White Serpent's fangs as well as some other common ingredients," she said, listing off some basic ingredients they both had.

"If you can save my Jita, I'll give you the entire Great Beast! Your lot deserves it anyway." Chief Ban looked to Gin, who was passed out on the boar. The twins were looking at the Chief curiously as well.

"There’s no need for that, Chief Ban. How about we take half of the Great Beast, since we…” He looked at the returning members. “Where are your Spears?” He had sworn that he had taken two men with him, along with the four female Spears.

“They laid down their lives for us to defeat the Great Beast,” the Chief said. “We will drink and feast so we may remember their sacrifice!”

Ken nodded. “We’ll take half of it. You can have the heart, we’ll take the core.” The core was more important to Ken than the heart, even if the heart was a great ingredient.

The Chief wasn’t going to barter, it was still a great deal for him. “That is fair enough, Arrayist Ken. Please, save my Jita.”

"Emerald, I'll leave it to you." Ken reached up to rub along her back, almost spanking her, but he realised the mood was a little too sore for that.

Emerald took the fangs which had been brought to her and then began to refine them within the furnace that Ken had bought. White fire escaped from her fingers, recalling that this furnace only allowed up to this level of fire.

“White fire!”

“Amazing!”

Even the Chief stared at Emerald, seeing how casually she used the White Fire for Alchemy. He didn’t expect her to be such a great Alchemist.

“I didn’t think we had such a great Alchemist in our midst,” Chief Ban said.

“This is a small matter for Emerald,” Ken said, proud that Emerald had gained so much respect from them all. He wondered what they would think if they knew that Ken could use White Fire too.

The Chief noted how tenderly Ken called Emerald, and understood that the two before him were greater than he imagined. Especially considering they had such a monster at their side. He looked towards Gin again.

The ingredients were all refined together, and Emerald summoned out a low grade mountain pill. She had to hold back in order to not garner too much attention, and she didn’t want to use too much of the fang creating the pill since it could be used for other things. Other things which would help her later at night with her master.

“Amazing!”

“What a great Alchemist!” The Chief stared at the low grade mountain pill.

"Stop gawking and feed her already!" It was Asha, who slapped the man across the back of his head.

Chief Ban put it into Jita’s mouth, letting her swallow it. Jita opened her eyes moments later, feeling the intense strength fill her. “???”

[Wasn’t I dying? Am I dead? Is this heaven?]

She looked up to see Chief Ban.

[Definitely not.]

“My Jita! Oh, my Jita!”

She slapped the Chief across his face and then hopped onto her feet, placing her hands on her waist and looking around. The Chief began to sob, but then pulled the woman in for a passionate kiss.

Ken coughed.

[Did he just kiss his daughter? These Clans sure are weird.]

"I told you not to kiss me in public you bastard!" Jita punched him this time, causing him to tumble back. “Oh, if it isn’t Niece Asha. How are you?"

"I'm well, Aunt Jita. I see you had some trouble?"

[Niece Asha? Aunt Jita?]

Ken saw that the woman was definitely younger than him. She was so small and young, more like his little sister.

"Just a little matter with a big snake." Jita rubbed the side of her neck and began to stretch.

"A minor matter, perhaps. Though, if it wasn't for this Alchemist, you’d be dead.” Asha reached over to Emerald and slapped her across her fat ass, showing her off. She also wanted some revenge for Emerald stopping her fun with Ken.

[Damn! Her ass is so fat!]

"Alchemist?" Jita looked to Emerald. "So it was you who helped me?"

"I only did as required." Emerald nodded.

"Then I hope my stingy husband offered you enough in return. Let me guess, he offered you a spear?"

Ken vomited blood. "Husband?"

“D-darling Jita, I’m not that cheap!” Chief Ban vomited blood too.

"Who is this?" Jita looked to Ken, noticing that the escorts around were protecting him and not Emerald.

"My client," Asha said. "He's an Arrayist. A rich Arrayist." She stuck out her tongue and winked, her fingers making the universal symbol of money.

"An Arrayist and an Alchemist?” She had never expected such a combination. “Thank you for saving my life, Alchemist. I'll be sure that you're rewarded properly."

"We've already spoken of the payment." Ken waved his hand to put the matter to rest.

"So you're the boss?" Jita looked to Ken again. Even though Emerald was an Alchemist, it seemed as though the cripple was the one who was in charge.

"That's right." Ken nodded.

"I didn't expect that…” Jita stared at him, eyeing him up.

"I'm sure." Ken chuckled.

"Since payment was already discussed, why don't we eat?" She smiled. “Almost dying does make a woman hungry.”

[She's tough. She almost died and is eager to continue her daily life.]

“So you two are… husband and wife?” Ken asked, looking between Jita and Chief Ban.

“That’s right.”

“Aren’t you… aren’t you a Little Sister to me though?” Ken asked

“Ho! A Little Sister, you say?” Jita covered her mouth with her hand, hiding her smile. “That’s right, I’m your Little Sister, isn’t that right, Big Brother Ken?”

“Little Sister? Darling Jita, won’t that make me quite the evil man? How can he call you Little Sister when you’re fif-“

Jita punched the Chief’s face, caving it in with her little fist, causing him to quieten down. “Big Brother Ken, ignore this buffoon bastar- I mean, pathetic piece of shi- I mean, this stupid guy.”

“R-right.”

Asha gave Ken a look, as though he were an idiot.

[She does look like she’s sixteen years old at most! Why are people looking at me like that?]

“So she’s young, and he’s handsome,” the twins whispered together.

Ken heard them speak about the pair. “Handsome?” Ken asked.

The twins nodded together at him. “Really handsome,” they said. “With beautiful, powerful muscles!”

Ken looked back at the Chief, who looked quite ugly. However, he did notice the Chief had lost quite a lot of weight since he had left, but he was still quite chubby.

He looked back at the twins.

[What a weird taste in men…]
