Ken informed them what he had told the slaves, and once they understood, he turned to Yuri and Chan. “We have business to do. Nimi, assist the Leafblades with cooking. Master Emerald, please make sure no one poisons anything.”
With that, he walked out and hired a public carriage. He had lots of business to deal with that day, and though he had worked with the Town Lord, there was more to be done with an already established relationship.
They approached the Commerce Pavilion, which was made of hard stone within this town. It was far sturdier than the other Commerce Pavilion in Little River Town.
There were a few number of workers all around, some of them assisting various others, including servants and Young Masters and Young Misses.
“Good afternoon,” Ken said to a worker, nodding his head towards her. “I’ve come to discuss a few things with the Commerce Head, if they are available.” Ken placed down the token which Rojja had given him, which caused the worker to perk up.
A stranger who had appeared for the Commerce Head? Such a thing was typically nonsense, but seeing the token, it was another matter entirely.
“Please follow me, esteemed guest.” The woman bowed her head respectfully towards him, then led him around back to a room befitting his station. There were a number of plush cushions and chairs, which he could finally relax in now that he no longer pretended to be a cripple.
[Thank the heavens I am no longer a cripple!]
“Commerce Head, there is an esteemed guest who has appeared,” the worker said to the Commerce Head, who was currently playing with another woman. A beautiful woman was wrapped around the Commerce Head, and they were sharing a passionate kiss.
“An esteemed guest?”
“Someone with a small bronze talisman with the symbol of our esteemed pavilion,” the worker said.
“A small bronze talisman?” The Commerce Head spanked the woman off of her and then stood up. “I’d love to see this honoured guest. Are they cute?”
“They are quite handsome.”
“Quite rich too, if they have one of our talismans.”
Ken was being poured some tea by another worker when he saw the Commerce Head enter. She was wearing a sleek black dress, one which hugged her slender figure. She had dark eyes, dark hair, and dark lips. Ken was glad he wasn’t drinking his tea. Then he realised how similar the Commerce Head looked to Yuri in her overall aesthetic.

“I wouldn’t dare speak to the Commerce Head so lax,” Ken replied back. “This one is Disciple Ken, and I have come on behalf of my Master, Alchemist Emerald, to do some business with the wonderful Commerce Pavilion.”
“Your Master is an Alchemist? Oh my! I didn’t expect such a talented group to come to our pavilion!” She had another thought, one which Rojja originally had too when he first spoke with Ken, but she didn’t verbalise it. “I am Salma Silverhand.” She reached out a hand, which Ken took and kissed.
“I hope the Commerce Head is free to discuss such business?” Ken asked, leaning back to sip the tea. He was too busy admiring her to taste it though.
“Since it’s an esteemed guest of our Commerce Pavilion, I am certainly free.” She smiled and then sat down opposite him, resting one leg over the other, leaning in to emphasise her cleavage.
“We have a pill which the Commerce Head may be interested in.” Ken then revealed one of the white pearl pills which he and Emerald made, holding it out to her.
A worker stepped forward, but the Commerce Head reached over to accept it first. She eyed it up, rolling it between her fingers. “My, my. I’ve never seen such a magnificent white pearl pill before. It seems to have an additional effect?”
“It’s much more powerful for women to consume it,” Ken said. “60% more, to be more precise.”
The Commerce Head’s eyes flashed with greed for a moment and she licked her lips, tasting the gold coins. “Is this in relation to your deal?”
“One of the deals, yes. How much would you offer for such pills?”
“I think twenty gold coins should be a fair amount.”
Ken looked to Yuri, who nodded her head. “Sounds fair to me.” He was already going to accept, but he needed to show Yuri respect.
“Now that we’ve made a contract, I was hoping to ask for some assistance. We are in need for large amounts of wood and stone to create buildings. We have bought an estate in town and it’s currently… lacking in decorum befitting my Master and her abilities.”
“It is a small matter,” the woman replied back, waving her hand to dismiss such a thing.
“We also need food for roughly 200 people monthly, a large amount of alchemy ingredients, herbs and such. I will write a list of basic herbs which I require immediately, but later I may come with some herbs which are rarer.”
“The rare herbs may be difficult to acquire, but we will certainly do our best for you, Disciple Ken.”
“Lastly, I will need several martial arts manuals.”
“Martial arts manuals? Are there any requests of which type of martial arts manuals?”
Ken wondered. “I don’t have anything in mind, but something which can be used together to form a stable foundation. I don’t need anything fancy, just martial arts which will create efficient warriors.”
“I will see what we have available.” She continued to smile at him.
“In terms of payment, would it be alright if we pay in gold and pills?”
“It would depend on the type of pill,” she said. “Of course, these pills are more than welcome.” She revealed the white pearl pill.
“We currently have a deal with the Town Lord about low grade and middle grade pills, but we can certainly trade high grade earth white pearl pills freely.”
“Oh? You went to the Town Lord before us?” The woman pouted.
“There were some circumstances which required immediate action.” Ken sighed, chuckling awkwardly. “However, the Commerce Pavilion has always treated me well, and I do not forget such things easily.”
“I’m glad to hear that.” The woman didn’t know his story as of yet, though soon she would take note of it.

“I have a few more requests I have for you, but I think I’ll keep them for later. Right now I have a few pills which I can sell to you, if you are willing.”
“Of course we are willing, Disciple Ken.”
“There are going to be a large number of pills so…” Ken smiled.
She waved a hand and a worker went to bring several baskets. She was unsure of how much Ken was planning, but she was excited to see.
It was then that Ken called out nearly a thousand pills, most of them low grade earth pills, but also a handful of middle grade earth pills and a couple high grade pills too.
“I should have really sold them off last time, but I was in a bit of a rush and it slipped my mind.”
“I didn’t expect you to have so many pills.” Salma smiled. “My workers will tabulate the total amount and we’ll pay you accordingly.”
“You don’t need to rush. You can just put the coin in my vault with all my other belongings. I will check on them later, but for now, I should return before I get scolded by my Master for flirting with the Commerce Head too much.”
“Is your Master a beautiful woman?”

“Who is more beautiful?” Salma tilted her head slightly.
