After the shareholders' meeting, it was past the lunch point. As soon as Lynch was ready to go out and get something to fill his stomach, Nell appeared in front of him with Tom.

Nell finally decided to give Tom a hand. After all, the relationship between the two people for thirty or forty years can't be completely finished because of this, otherwise the feelings and time are too cheap.

As soon as he walked out of the office door, Lynch stepped back and sat behind his desk. He looked at the two men and tilted his head slightly. "So, what's the matter with you?"

Tom was at a loss. He could see that something terrible was happening in his heart.

He knows Lynch. He and Nell have been good friends for decades. They are very familiar with each other's family. From Lynch's birth to his graduation from high school, Tom meets him once or twice a month, or two or three times, when he goes to find Nell.

At first, he didn't think that the boss of the Star Trading Company was Nell's son. After all, there was not only one person named Lynch in the world, just like his name Tom. He could easily find out some people with the same name, as well as some cats and dogs.

Moreover, as a member of the bottom of the society, he has no channels and resources to know more about the composition of the social superstructure, which is like most people don't know what are the top ten tax paying companies in their city and who are their bosses.

People don't care about these things. They are more concerned about how the TV play will be performed tonight than these illusory things, and more about some things in work.

Until this moment, he didn't think Nell's son could do such a big thing, but it was obvious that the fact made his brain unable to think, and it was difficult for him to accept such a thing.

Nell is very calm, or shocked too much, and has become numb. Of course, his attitude towards Lynch has changed slightly. At least in the past, when he was at home, he wouldn't talk to lynch so "calmly".

At that time, he was the head of the family. His tone was always imperative and could not be rejected by anyone.

"Tom had some trouble. They stole the raw materials of the factory and produced a batch of goods, most of which fell into your hands. We mean whether you can return the things to him and let him try to get rid of it." in order to convince Lynch, Nell said very pertinently, "He's the only one, and the others are not in our consideration."

Nell soon made it clear what he and Tom were coming for, but Lynch shook his head after listening, "it's not easy, no, it's impossible!"

Looking at Tom who gradually recovered and Nell who looked puzzled, Lynch explained, "even if you take those things back now, you can't change the current situation. I'll understand it by listening to you."

"No matter how much money you sell, it has nothing to do with your boss, and whether you can sell these things in his hands has nothing to do with you."

"In other words, if you want to solve these problems, you must collect the money to solve it, otherwise..."

Lynch has thought of the end. If they can't raise money, the court will enforce it, and the bank will auction their assets, including their cars, if they have any, and their houses.

This also makes Lynch suddenly feel that he and the bank can do another deal. These are very high-quality resources, and more importantly, their prices will be very low.

As this entrusted auction, the bank will not care how much money these things have been sold. They just want to end this work as soon as possible and get part of the service fee. As long as the bank is satisfied, these things can be bought at the price of waste products after packaging.

Then in the next week's auction meeting, a turnover is several times the income.

Lynch is even less likely to help these people, and he is not familiar with Uncle Tom.

There was such a person in his memory, but limited to this, there was no more interaction between them, except for the dignity of a man who was played by him several times when he was a child.

No matter what consideration, he didn't intend to help Tom. He stood up. "I'm sorry, Uncle Tom, there's nothing I can do about it..." he paused. "Do you want to have lunch together? I know a restaurant has a good small steak."

Nell still couldn't bear it. "Isn't there any way?"

Lynch shook his head. "If it's only a small matter of thirty, five or thirty thousand, I can help you, but I can't give Uncle Tom more help."

"He took out his own share, but the total amount was not enough. They still had to be tried and dealt with by the law, so no one could help in this matter."

Said he hesitated for a moment. The hesitation for about a few seconds was immediately caught by Nell and Tom. They didn't dare to disturb Lynch's thinking, but looked at him expectantly.

After about half a minute, Lynch's face became more serious. "In fact, it's not completely impossible, but we can say at dinner that I've been in a meeting this morning..."

They dare not refuse Lynch. Under Lynch's leadership, they bring them to a reopened restaurant not far away.

During the wave of the general strike, restaurants were also severely damaged, but their damaged contents were different from those of other stores. The damage of restaurants was that most of their ingredients were robbed, but it was limited to this.

These losses are not big for restaurant operators. They have to buy a batch of food materials to reopen.

The three sat down and looked around. There was only one table for them in the empty restaurant. In their expectant eyes, Lynch said the only way.

"If you can win the forgiveness of your boss and the sympathy of the judge, the problem will be much easier," Lynch said casually as he shook off his napkin, "You should explain the cause, process and result of the matter, who is the initiator, who is the organizer, who has specifically committed what criminal acts, and finally your way of selling the stolen goods, who presided over the distribution of the stolen money, and your confession, Uncle Tom."

"Our law does not have much tolerance for criminals, but it is also willing to help those who repent. If you can do this, you may only be punished for community service in the end."

Lynch focused on the core, "as long as it is not a criminal punishment, it will not leave a stain on your personal file, nor will it become an obstacle to your future job search."

Tom's expression was painful and struggling. He licked some dry lips and his voice was dry. "Are you... Asking me to betray them?"

"Betrayal?", Lynch raised his eyebrows. "Why do you think it is a kind of betrayal? In fact, you are helping them recognize their mistakes and setting an example to guide them to explain their crimes."

"But I have to tell you that the judge only sympathizes with the first person to do so!"

After saying these words, he paused a little, "from what you said, it's not difficult for me to find that everything comes from the guy named hick. How is he now?"

Tom's face became worse. "He was released on bail..."

Lynch showed a "sure enough" expression. "According to my idea, I even think it may be a play played by hick and your boss for the purpose of those penalties."

"More than three million, enough for him to pay off some debts and get through the financial crisis!"

Lynch's words were like a sharp arrow inserted into Tom's heart, because it was possible, or Lynch was too good at "Persuading" others.

Soon, their order began to serve, and the topic ended.

Tom was still considering Lynch's advice, and Lynch and Nell talked about Nell's work.

Some people ate delicious food at this meal. Some people didn't even think of moving knives and forks in the face of the food they most yearned for at ordinary times. They just sat blankly.

After dinner, Lynch returned to the company to continue to deal with some of the backlog during this period, while Nell and Tom turned themselves in to the police station.

This is the decision Tom made at the end of lunch. He made a choice between himself and others. In fact, this choice is not shameful, because 99% of the people will make such a decision.

However, it was not so easy. In the afternoon, because of Tom's surrender, the case made a breakthrough. The specific list and some more key information were mastered by the police station.

Seeing that his former friend has now become a "prisoner", Nell is still very moved.

That day, if he couldn't stick to his bottom line, maybe he was locked in an iron cage at this time!

After comforting Tom for a few words, Nell left the police station. At the same time, he knew and could feel that his relationship with Tom for decades had come to an end today.

Two people have embarked on two different roads, which makes Nell, who is not highly educated, feel very much.

In fact, the aftermath of the incident was much more troublesome than Nell thought. Soon after, the bailiff of the court found Lynch.

The bailiff told Lynch that the things he bought were stolen goods and should be temporarily detained. Lynch said he needed to consult a lawyer before giving a reply to the court.

This is a very official and most common answer. Most rich people can afford lawyers. Lawyers will use their professional knowledge to make these rich people avoid all kinds of problems.

This is the value of wealth and the way to prove it.

Not long after the bailiff left, a lawyer came to Lynch's office.

"Mr. Lynch, I must tell you before we start our conversation that even if we don't reach any agreement, you must pay the conversation expenses incurred in our communication, as well as the transportation and communication expenses incurred when I come here. Is there a problem?"
