"Well, the grand elder is easy, she's just a level 6 mage… The real problem is 48, the one that recruited me, I still don't know what level he or she is… I only know that they are excellent at tracking and stealth, plus there could be more high level 'recruiters' out there…"

The convoy moved through the wilds for a few days, except for some bandits and a few wild animals the journey was smooth, oh and speaking of the bandits they were turned to ash after their blood was drained, soon the convoy arrived in the city of Greenvale, as the convoy was going through customs there was a slight hiccup
"Non-humans aren't allowed in this city, leave before we put your heads on a spear above the gates!"
Mike gave a sigh, a long one at that before he started mumbling
"I have had it with this little dirty, racist, low mana density fucking island"
Julie caught Mike's mumbling and looked over at him before she called out his name with slight nervousness
"Mike?"
Mike ignored her however and looked up at the guards that all wore laughing expressions as they looked mockingly at Mike and Julie
"Oh well… I hope mother in law will forgive me for this… Elina"
"Yes master"
"Go block the gate opposite from us… The eastern gate"
Elina disappeared from view as she received Mike's orders
"Rebecca, go to the northern gate"
"Yes master"
Rebecca kicked off the ground disappearing from view as she sped off to block the northern gate
"Lina, you're on the southern gate, make it fast"
"Yes master"
Mike looked up at the guards that still wore mocking expressions on their faces, Mike showed a wide smile as he spoke to the remaining demonic servants as well as the spores
"Kill them, make it painful… DRIVE THE FEAR OF US INTO THEM BEFORE YOU END THEM"
"Well well well… What have we here? A group of dirty non-humans, maybe I sho---"
"Marie, end this racist piece of shit would you?"
"Yes master~"

The [Paladin] drew his sword and took a stance with a cocky expression on his face, Maire smiled under the mask before her eyes glowed pink

The [Paladin]'s expression turned dazed before he then took his own sword and drove it through his own neck, then he collapsed on the ground still wearing an enchanted expression on his face as he bled out of his mouth and nose, Mike gave a nod
"Now then… I am here on personal business, if any of you want to halter me that's fine, only know that I will slaughter the entire city of Greenvale along with you"
The mayor and the adventure's guild head both paled before they wordlessly stepped aside, the mayor even managed to speak a "Welcome to Greenvale" without stuttering, Mike showed a smile before he reached his hand out to Juli9e that took it with a smile and then the two of them walked past the gates into Greenvale, as they walked the spores and demonic servants spread out forming a net that slowly tightened around the training facility of Ø along with the residence of the grand elder
"That's the place… Let's go say hi to the grand elder first…"
"Sure Mike"
As the group neared the walled-in, high-end residential district Mike's eyes flashed with a red light as he ordered the spores ahead of him to take care of the guards ahead, when he and Julie arrived at the gates all there was to greet them was a bunch of dried up corpses in armor, there was no sign of a struggle or even a fight since the so-called elite guards were mostly level 2 and a few were level 3, a total slaughter to say the least suddenly Mike heard a voice in his head
"Master, she's trying to escape"
Mike didn't remember which of the spores this was and he didn't care to remember their names, he only gave a few orders
"Capture her, then bing her to her mansion… There should be a central room, take her there"
"Yes master"
Mike strolled along the way chatting with Julie about the surrounding mansions and so after a little time passed they arrived at the grand elder's mansion and walked straight in through the open door, inside the central room stood about five spores holding down the grand elder with each one of them holding down a body part and the last one sitting on her back
"YOU! WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU!?"
She was less than pleased when Mike and Julie arrived, Mike let go of Julie's hand and walked up close to the grand elder and kneeled down in front of her as he spoke
"We meet once you know? Oh well, you tried to have me captured so now I am here to repay the favor"
The grand elder stopped struggling as she narrowed her eyes, she was about to say something when Mike opened his hand and called the knife from its sheath and slashed out instantly leaving a cut on the grand elder's cheek, then he asked
"Any last words?"
"Screw you---!"
"[Control]"
The grand elder's eyes went blank as her soul was sucked out of its body and the light in the room dimmed as something darker took hold of the empty shell, the spores gradually got off the former grand elder as she got up on her knees and bowed her head to Mike
"Master"
"I won't evolve you yet, you have to earn it"
"Yes master!"
"Good, now tell me about Ø"
Mike and Julie walked out of the mansion around evening, Mike had a calm smile on his face and so did Julie, while they had been chatting with the former grand elder, now head of the spores directly under Mike's control the other spores had been wiping out the local branch of Ø and were moving rapidly to wipe out the rest of the organization as swiftly as possible, meanwhile, a week passed in Greenvale Mike and Julie spent their time together, along the week Julie noticed several times Mike would seem irritated out of nowhere, he was frustrated, angry even at random times during the day, there was even a time where he was about to strangle a waitress because she got their order wrong, Julie, of course, asked into this but Mike himself was unaware of why he was so angry at seemingly everything
"It just comes and goes… Almost like… Nah that's stupid…"
Mike stared into the wall with a far off look on his face, Julie decided not to disturb him, meanwhile, the knife started to vibrate slightly as a red light glowed from Mike's eyes, then it happened, space twisted around him suddenly and before he knew it he was in the void, in front of him was a person, or what seemed to be a person, the said person had goat-like horns and their body was covered by a vial of darkness, they seemed to be sleeping here in the cold void between worlds, Mike observed the person in front of him for a bit as he did he grew more and more attached to the person, he wanted very much to help this person, to be their support out here in the cold void, in fact, if they asked for his still-beating heat he would tear it out of his chest and presen---
"No!"
Mike tried desperately to suppress the feeling that was rapidly growing in him and then before he knew it he was back to the inn room, he was still staring into the wall, like it had all just been an illusion
