It was because Lucy would take time out of her day to visit her and the new hatchling which Mike had given her, they were finally talking about something else than Mike, granted it was about the hatchling but that was progress in her book, they still stayed in the lord's mansion under Henry's request, thus Mike was at this very moment… Laying on the floor and looking into the ceiling

He much preferred to sleep on the floor than on the bed that was far too soft for his taste, this, of course, reached Herny's ears through the servants but that Mike didn't really care about, he simply sat himself up and pondered
'There are 2 months until Lucy has to leave and attend that academy… With the payment of 15.000, I've secured that Mel will be able to attend as well… Only I have no way of affecting what will happen once they are admitted to the academy… Unless…'
Mike smiled and got up from the floor before he walked out of his room and straight towards Henry's office to talk, when he arrived he found that Henry was sitting behind his desk and looking at a piece of paper with anger clouding his face, he didn't even realize that someone had walked into his office until Mike knocked on his sturdy wooden desk
"Oh… Mike, sorry about that"
"What's the problem?"
"Oh, it's nothing really…"
Mike began slowly circulating his mana which Henry picked up on before Mike spoke
"I consider us to be rather close friends Henry, but you choosing to withhold that information is like you shutting me out"
Henry sighed before he handed the paper to Mike that quickly read it before he began laughing slightly, for some reason Henry felt his neck hair stand when he heard Mike's laughter, then Mike laid down the document on Herny's desk again, the document which stated that the city directly to the South would be claiming ownership of the stretch of road that laid between their cities which meant that they would be collecting toll of any merchants that used the road instead of Hery's city that had cleared up the road, Mike sighed before he asked
"Buring down their city would harm trade right?"
"...Yes it would, hmm…"
"Then what about having the city change ownership?"
"That would possibly incite anger from the nearby city lords that have ties with the current lord"
"I see… Well then, I have a simple way to solve this… What level is the city lord of the city to the South?"
"...I believe he's level 7 what is your plan?"
Mike showed a smile before he spoke
"The simplest of all"
Mike flew off towards the South for a few hours before he reached the city from there he simply began churning his mana as he hovered in the air above the city, soon an oppressive feeling spread out over the entire city which made the city people look to the sky where they saw Mike hovering in the sky with a displeased expression on his face, soon the city lord and his elite level 7 guards flew up and stopped in front of Mike where the city lord quickly judged Mike's strength to be way above his and quickly spoke with respect
"Welcome to my humble city, May I have the honor of knowing your esteemed name?"
"No, you are simply not worthy, all you need to know before I kill you is that you have made me displeased"
Mike then kicked up his mana circulation up a notch more before he raised his hand and made a grabbing motion which made the city lord grasp his own neck as he suddenly felt it hard to breathe, though it wasn't impossible for him to speak, and so he pleaded for his life
"Please... Forgive... My... Insolence..."
"Your insolence I can forgive… But your greed is another matter! Who do you think cleared the Wyvern off the northern stretch of road!?"
The city lord paled before he quickly spoke or rather pleaded
"Please… Forgive…---"
"Greed will be repaid with greed, you will transfer 20.000 to the city lord to the North along with half your annual tax income for the next 2 years… And if I find a single coin missing I burn down your city"
Finished say what he wanted Mike was about to leave when he stopped and pointed upwards before he twirled his finger around, the city lord then heard a haunting sound from behind him then Mike disappeared and he felt his control given back to him and turned around and saw the heads of his elite guards floating in the air for a few seconds before they fell towards the ground as their headless bodies had for a few seconds ago, Mike quickly returned to the city which Henry governed and landed in the inner courtyard before he walked ahead into the building towards the dining room, Mike figured that they would be eating right about now so that's where he headed first, though when he arrived he found that there was an unfamiliar guest at the table she wore a three-pointed heat and an outer robe that covered her other clothes, Mike ignored her at first before he walked over and took his seat at the table and began eating without caring for the new person that currently looked at him with an inquiring look before she asked Henry
"Lord Henry, who, or rather what is that?"
Henry was about to answer when Mike spoke
"Name's Mike… as for what I am is simple, I am a demon… right down to my soul"
The woman nodded before she spoke
"Excuse me for my rude question… I am Noel, a teacher at the noble and magic academy"
Mike's eyes lit up before he nodded and casually asked
"I have a student I want to enroll, would it be possible?"
Noel smiled and spoke
"Sure as long as they are over level 5 or of noble birth and the required fee is paid"
"I see… Then I would like to enroll my subordinate Mel… and there's another thing I would like to enquire about in private..."
Noel showed a smile and nodded, then Mike spoke to Henry
"I have handled your problem… Also a gifty from me will be arriving in a couple of days"
Henry nodded with a happy smile on his face before he spoke
"Then tonight we drink! Noel, you are welcome to join us of course!"
Noel showed a smile and nodded, over the course of the evening she learned what had happened and was likewise outraged though she was quickly calmed down when she learned that Mike had handled it, over the evening and night as the empty crystal bottles stacked up the three person's relationships gradually grew closer and when Noel eventually heard what Mike wanted to enquire about she nodded and promised to do what she could to help with his request…
The next morning Mike awoke in his room, on the floor, as usual, he felt a hangover come on and sat himself up before he began putting on some clean clothes before he ventured out in search of water to dull his oncoming headache, he ran into Mel on the way, or rather right outside his room, it seemed that she had been waiting for him to wake up and stood up as soon as the door opened, on her shoulder was the hatchling that seemed to be asleep, it was still early morning after all
"Hey Mel"
"Good morning General… Umm... I have something to ask you about, is that okay?"
"Sure, walk with me Mel, I need to find some water soon or this headache will kill me…"

Mel walked along with Mike for a bit before she spoke
"Umm… It's just… I feel that it's going to slow, with Lucy I mean…"
