Chapter 182: Surprise guest

Mike put down the marker before he turned to the crowded classroom and asked
"Is there any questions?"
At once a sea of hands went up, Mike sighed inwardly before he began answering the questions, he was currently holding a class on magic formations, a few days had passed since he had taken on Nicolai as a new recruit and consoled Lucy, so far things were going well, at least that's what he assumed since he had not heard anything from Lucy yet
'I should check up on her…'
With his mind set Mike finished up the class at the assigned time before he left the classroom behind and walked in the direction of the two lovebirds dorm room, he even managed to make it halfway there before he remembered that they had class
'Hmm…'
Now it was bothering him, should he walk over and take Lucy out of class to talk to her?
'No… I can wait… Let's check up on the new guy'
Mike made his way to an inner courtyard where he found a group of people watching a lone figure running, the figure was Nícolai, he had been running since the morning… And it was currently late in the afternoon, Mike walked onto the courtyard and waved Nicolai over before he asked
"Did you take a break at noon to eat as I told you?"
"Yes, General"
Mike sighed before he narrowed his eyes
"No you didn't, go eat now"
"...General, I can still---"
"Still what? Run? Fight? Obey basic orders!? You are destroying your bodes foundation by pushing yourself so far!"
Nicolai lowered his head, Mike sighed again before he spoke
"Go eat something then go to bed, I'll see you again tomorrow…"
"Yes, General"
Mike watched Nicolai walk towards the cafeteria before he nodded and walked back to his own room to meditate… Later in the evening he awoke and once again left his room to go find Lucy to check up on her, soon he arrived at their dorm room and knocked on the door, after a bit the door was opened by Mel that showed a smile when she saw Mike
"General, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to check up on Lucy"
"Sure, please come in, we were just having some tea"
Mike walked in and saw Lucy sitting at the table drinking some tea and sat down beside Mel before he turned his eyes to Lucy and asked her
"How did it go?"
Lucy nodded before she showed a smile and spoke
"It went well, he's no longer pursuing me"
"I see, that's good"
Lucy nodded before she spoke
"He turned out to be a lot more accepting that he looked"
"Yeah, that's how most people are… Most, anyway"
After Mike finished his tea he went back to his room and back to meditating…
The next morning Mike awoke from his meditation and stretched before he muttered
"I can feel that I am nearing my limit… I need some servants so I can sleep…"
As Mike muttered that he sighed before he got an idea and spoke out into empty space
"Beel, can you send me some high-level servants?"
A few seconds of silence followed before Beel's voice sounded out inside the room
"What do you need them for..? Is there a problem you can't handle?"
"...I need them to guard me while I sleep"
"...I see, I'll tell Julie to select some servants, she should be done in a few hours…"
"Thank you, Beel"
Mike felt Beel's presence leave the room and sighed before he went about his day, he had no class to teach today so he mostly walked around the academy city trying to find a gift for Julie, then in the evening he felt Beel's presence again and bit his finger before two drops of blood floated out and quickly formed 2 portals from one of the portals came 4 Wind spirits that seemed to be level 8… And form the other came Julie that used her momentum to hug Mike closely
"Mike!"
"Wait… Julie?"
"Of course, who else but me?"
Mike showed a smile as he stroked Julie's cheek before the two of them shared a long kiss, then Mike looked Julie over before he asked
"When did you hit level 9?"
Julie showed a slightly cheeky grin before she spoke
"Earlier today, the former Fire Iron lands have been turned into such a hell hole…"
"Heh… All according to the plan"
"Yeah, so both the humans and the non-humans are using it to slug it out with each other, we've profited greatly from this…"
"I see, damn now I am way behind again…"
"Don't sulk, Mike, you'll catch up quickly"
"...Yeah, once I am done looking after my subordinates…"
Julie smiled before she pinched Mike's cheek as she spoke in a cutesy way
"I said~ Don't sulk~"
Mike laughed before he nodded and offered his hand to Julie
"Can I show you around the city?"
Julie showed a bright smile and nodded before she linked arms with Mike, then under the escort of the 4 level 8 Wind spirits the two of them walked around the city before they returned to the academy, where they were stopped by the guards since Julie and the 4 Wind spirits didn't have any student or teacher ID
"I'll go talk to the principal"
"Alright, Mike… Sure brings back memories of our time in the academy, right Mike?"
"Yep… Now be a good girl and wait here without killing anyone"
"Sure~"
Mike sighed and walked past the guards and into the academy grounds before he walked directly towards the principal's office and knocked on the door, the principal's voice soon sounded out from inside the room
"Come in"
Mike opened the door and walked in, he saw that the principal was looking over some documents, Mike waited until he put down the documents and looked up
"Oh, Mike, what brings you to my office today?"
"To tell the truth my wife has come by on a surprise visit along with 4 guards, I would like some ID for all of them"
"Sure, It'll take a day, but I'll go with you and talk to the guards to get them exempt for today"
"Then let's go?"
"Yes, let's"
Mike and the principal walked through the academy and soon arrived at the front gate where they found Julie and the 4 Wind spirits, the principal talked with the guards and soon the group walked into the academy, the principal casually asked
"So… Do you have any skills that you could teach here at our academy Julie?"
"Not really, I think I'll be able to help Mike with his classes though"
"I see… And what level are you Julie?"
"I just hit level 9"
The principal paused for a moment before he showed a smile and nodded
"I see… Level 9…"
Soon the group arrived at Mike's dorm room the principal excused himself in a timely fashion, then Mike and Julie walked into the dorm room, and… Well did what all couples do after not seeing each other for a while…
The next morning Mike slowly awoke, he was laying in the bed that had been unused so far, next to him was Julie, she was curled up like a kitten next to him with a firm hug on his arm, Mike showed a smile and brushed Julie's hair to the side of her face, Julie that apparently was in a light sleep opened her eyes from this and showed a smile as her eye regained their focus before she spoke out in a spoiled tone
"Mike~"
Then she crawled on top of him and gave him a kiss as she nestled into his chest and asked lazily
"Do we have to get up?"
Mike nodded and looked towards the window where he could see the sunlight peeking through
"Yeah… I have a class to teach in about an hour"
"Then… want to shower?"
"...Sure"
After the two of them took a shower, Julie helped Mike get dressed in his teachers uniform before she wore a white shirt and a pair of tight-fitting leather pants, Mike showed a smile at the look of his wife and spoke as he stretched out his arm
"Shall we?"
"Sure"
The two of them left the room and walked towards the mess hall where Mike sat Julie down before he went to get some food for them, 2 of the Wind spirits followed him while the other 2 stood behind Julie that looked around the mess hall for a bit before someone called out to her
"Lady Julie?"
Julie looked to the side and saw Mel as well as Lucy with a food tray each in their hands, they were apparently looking for a place to sit down, Julie showed a smile as she spoke
"Hello Mel, please sit with me, Mike will be returning in a few moments"
"Yes, Lady Julie"
Mel and Lucy sat down and soon Julie asked while looking at Lucy
"So this is the lucky lady, Mel?"
"Yes, this is Lucy, my girlfriend"
Julie nodded before she sighed inwards as she thought
'A shame, a pure lady with such deep smell of 'maiden in love' is sure to have such delicious blood…'
Lucy shivered slightly under the gaze of Julie before she asked
"Lady Julie, you are married to Mike right?"
"Yes that's right, we've been married for sometime now so feel free to ask me anything"
