Chapter 186: Ravi tribe

Once the demons were gathered Mike closed his eyes and felt the presence of the new guardian of the wheel and found that they were unmoving since yesterday
'So either they're confident or ignorant… Either way, we should hurry before they wise up…'
Mike opened his eyes and looked towards Mel and Lucy that returned from the temple with shining eyes, Mike showed a smile and spoke
"Let's move!"
Mel nodded and behind her back formed wings of pure darkness, Lucy also formed wings, they were pure white angel-like wings, though some of the fathers seemed to have been dyed black, both of them flapped their wings and took flight along with the rest of the group, soon they were all in the air, including the Wind spirit's that took the outermost positions in the formation, the only one that was being carried still was Nicolai, though he seemed to have no problem flying on a Wyren as he saved his strength for the upcoming fight, the group moved towards the presence which proved to be north for a few hours before Mike detected a change in the presence that they were moving towards
'They're finally moving huh…'
Mike began chuckling because the way they were moving was in their direction, evidently, they were confident, arrogant, or just plain stupid
'Either way, this works for us…'
Mike looked down and saw the Wnd spirits were raiding a convoy of some sort and signaled for them the entire group to halt before he himself swopped down, once he arrived the guards and merchant were all dead, Mike walked directly towards the carriages, which proved to be rather big for and boxy for carriages, they were all covered by a thick cloth, Mike flew up and cut the cloth at the top which then fell to the ground revealing the insiders of the carriage, a giant cage filled with slaves, Mike narrowed his eyes slightly as the eyes of the slaves gathered on him, he faintly felt his own slave tattoo arch slightly at the sight, but alas wise thought emerged, as he was about to give the order for the slaves to be turned into experience one of them spoke up
"Savior!"
Mike lowered his hand that was about to signal for them to be slaughtered before he turned to the carriage from where the cry had come from and flew over and cut the cloth covering the insiders, once it fell it revealed a single person inside, she was knelled down on the floor of the cage with her forehead pressing against the floor, Mike looked at them for a bit before he felt what could only be Julie's cold stare and got on with his agenda and asked
"Why do you call me savior?"
The figure kept kneeling as they spoke
"You are not from this Prime world, you arrived here yesterday through a portal and slaughtered a city of people, you command an army of demons and wield the power of blood... you could only be our savior"
Mike narrowed his eyes slightly before he asked
"And you know this how?"
Silence followed before Mike them sighed and spoke again
"Speak… Or become fodder for my Wind spirits"
"If you would allow me up, I would gladly speak"
"...Fine, you may rise"
The woman stood up before she folded her hands in front of her chest and closed her eyes, then blue crystal antlers grew out from her head and when she opened her eyes again they had turned cyan with a mysterious glow surrounding them, then she spoke again
"My name is Telia, I am the priestess of the Ravi tribe, as for how I knew who and what you are… Please forgive me for my rudeness"
Mike nodded before he suddenly heard Telia's voice in his head
[My tribe are telepathic, as well as precognitive to some extend, we have no place in this world and would like to all join your army...]
Mike showed a smile before he spoke
"So you willingly sell the souls of your people?"
Telia showed a smile before she spoke
"We have no souls, we are empty containers"
Mike narrowed his eyes slightly before he drew the knife and slashed the metal bars that were in between the two of them, then he walked up into the cage where Telia once again had kneeled down and presented her right hand, Mike scoffed and poked her ring finger with the knife before he spoke
"[Control]"
Then he waited for a bit before… Well nothing happened, Mike narrowed his eyes before he spoke
"Beel"
A few seconds passed before Beel's voice sounded out
"What is it, Mike?"
"Well I am right in front of a person whom my [Control] skill have no effect on"
A few seconds passed before Beel spoke again
"Curious…"
Another few seconds passed before Beel's voice sounded out again in a language that Mike didn't understand, but to his surprise, Telia spoke back to Beel in the same language, then Beel's voice spoke out again
"Mike, Take these Ravi under your wing, I'll explain to you what they are once you return, but know that they are more loyal than the people that you have used [Control] on"
Mike felt a headache come on before he eventually nodded and spoke
"Fine, I don't trust them, but I trust you, Beel, we're kin after all"
"That we are Mike, don't worry I'll explain the next time we meet in person"
Mike sighed before he looked at Telia that showed a beaming smile and asked her
"What are you so happy about?"
Telia's smile widened slightly before she spoke
"Because General has decided to take us in"
Mike looked at her beaming smile and sighed, then he spoke out loud
"No eating these people, they have joined our army… Free the rest"
Mike walked out of the cage and summoned his wings and flew up to the other demons that waited in the air and spoke
"The Ravi tribe has joined our cause"
Alexander spoke up after a few seconds
"...General, are you sure we can trust them?"
"Beel has spoken for them"
Alexander nodded and the doubt disappeared from his eyes as well as the rest of the demon's eyes, Mike looked down and saw some portals opened up where most of the Ravi passed through with 11 taking flight, including Telia that spoke to Julie once she arrived
"Lady Julie forgive me for speaking with your husband without the respect he deserved"
Julie sighed before she waved her hand and nodded
"It's fine… Just be careful in the future"
"Yes Lady Julie"
Mike signaled the group to start moving again…
Around evening the group stopped and made camp next to the road they had been following North all day, Mike was exhausted mentally, as for why he was that he had been thinking about what Beel had said all day, about how the Ravi tribe was more loyal than the people he had used [Control] on, whenever he looked over at Telia she would just show a happy smile back and keep silent, Mike sighed again and laid down on the mat and looked up into the ceiling of the tent before he sighed again, at that moment Julie entered the tent and saw how he looked before she quickly jumped down on the mat and nestled up to him before she spoke
"Penny for your thoughts?"
"...No, maybe a kiss would work"
"You sure drive a hard bargain mister"
Despite her tone, Julie quickly kissed Mike on the cheek before she asked again
"So what are you thinking about?"
"The Ravi tribe… Beel said that they were more loyal than the people I have used [Control] on…It's been on my mind all day..."
"Oh… Well if Beel says it is there really a reason to think about it?"
Mike paused before he sighed again

The next morning the group quickly packed the camp down, or rather the Wind spirits did before they carried the luggage into the air and then the group began moving North again, around noon they spotted another convey and raided it, though it proved to carry nothing they were interested in so they simply set it alight before they continued North, sometime in the afternoon Telia flew up next to Mike and Julie and spoke
"General, we are approaching the borders of this country, it would be unwise to raid the border stronghold as it would take to long"
Mike nodded before he spoke
"Then we simply continue North without stopping"
"Yes General"
