Mike woke up, he sat himself up and looked over at the side of the bed, Julie wasn't there, just as he was about to be worried he heard the toilet flush and sighed, soon the door to the toilet opened and Julie, clad in her pajamas walked in or rather wobbled in and collapsed on the bed beside Mike, Mike showed a smile as he felt her naturally nestle op to him in her half-awake state
"What's the… Time?"
Mike looked over at the window before he estimated the current time
"A few hours before sunrise"
"Okay~"
Soon he heard Julie lightly snore and so he laid himself down again and closed his eyes, though for some reason sleep didn't find him, so after half an hour he sat himself up again and looked around
'It's like something's looking at me…'
Mike sighed once again and laid down as he thought
'It's probably nothing…'
Another place in the city Beel sat and looked at her flower garden as usual, but then suddenly her right eye twitched as she suddenly looked up into the sky and muttered
"So... It's started…"
The next morning Mike woke up with a set, he didn't know why but he had a bad feeling in his stomach
'Like I got to flee right now…'
Mike woke up Julie that was sleeping next to him
"What is it Mike, you have an awful look on your face..?"
"...Get ready to move"
"It's that bad?"
"Yeah… Sorry about this Julie"
Julie showed a smile before she gave Mike a quick kiss then she jumped out of bed, Mike followed her and quickly got dressed before he went to find Beel and ask about the current situation, as usual, Beel was sitting in front of her flower garden, Mike sat down next to her and asked
"...What exactly is going on Beel?"
Beel didn't look over at Mike, she kept her eyes locked on the flowers in bloom as she spoke
"The last guardian of the wheel candidate has accened, the ceasefire is crumbling as we speak"
"...So we're losing?"
"...Yes, that we are…"
Mike got kind of ticked off by the way Beel spoke, but he sighed and got his emotions under control before he asked
"So what do we do now?"
Beel let out a hollow laugh before she turned to look at Mike, her dark eyes seemed to be swallowing the light around them
"I'll send off you and Julie… From there… I guess you have to live your lives as best you can?"
Mike felt his emotions bruning, he very much hated how defeated Beel looked at this moment, alas he quickly calmed down before he gave Beel a hug as he spoke to her
"You have become a parent to me, Beel, we are kin… As long as there's is life in me I'll assist the cause"
Beel showed a slight smile as she patted Mike on the back, then she saw Julie standing off the side and sighed before she waved her hand and sent to two of them off, then she looked up towards the sky, she had sent off not only Mike and Julie but also the rest of the candidates, as she gazed at the sky it gradually turned dark before she opened her mouth and activated a skill as she spoke
"[Dark world]"
In an instant, the prime world was covered by a dark mass, then a few hundred thousand kilometers from the prime world a portal opened, a few figures appeared there, the 3 figures were the current guardians of the wheel that still contained their ego, one of them spoke
"There she is… The last invader"
The youngest one, a young-looking girl with bright blue eyes asked
"When are we going to exterminate her?"
"Soon… her true body should be arriving in mere moments…"
Behind the prime world, on its current dark side, something appeared, goat-like horns and legs, covered by a dress seemingly made by the stary sky and wielding a bow that seemed to be made of pure darkness, 'she' looked at the 3 guardians as she muttered
"Comrades, give me strength..."
Countless egoless will's appeared around Beel's true body and reinforced it once it was done she muttered
"For peace…"
Mike opened his eyes, he found himself in a small room along with Julie, she was laying on top of him, for a bit, Mike just lay there and breathed, then it came, the rage, the regret, as it seemed right now they had well and truly lost, with Beel, the strongest accented person that still had a will seemingly mounting a last desperate resistance
"No…"
Julie stirred as Mike spoke that word, she opened her eyes and looked into his, when she saw the will that still was in those eyes she showed a smile and lowered her head until their horns touched as the two of them admired the will that still was inside each other's eyes for a bit as Julie then spoke
"No…"
Mike showed a smile and spoke again
"We haven't lost yet…"
"That's right Mike"
The two of them smiled at each other, then Julie got up and looked around the room before she asked
"Where is this?"
"Earth, the united states of America"
"You mean this is your homeworld Mike?"
"Yeah"
Julie looked excited for a moment before she suddenly looked towards the door to the small room and summoned her [Hellsword] as the door then was opened… By a young nun that locked eyes with Julie and before any of them managed to do anything Mike spoke
"Easy Julie"
The nun that had looked over at Mike when he spoke looked back and stumbled backward when she realized that the tip of the [Hellsword] had appeared right in front of her right eye, she landed on her but and stammered
"N-Now there's t-two of them!"
A few minutes later Mike and Julie were sitting at a table in a small kitchen, Julie was hugging Mike's arm as she eyed the two nuns, one of which was making tea while the other was nervously watching the two demons that had appeared in her room, while she remembered the blue one, the red one that was staring at her with hostility was new, she wondered for a moment if a third would suddenly appear, alas the calm nun spoke out as she placed the tea on the table in front of them
"Here, drink it while it's hot… Lily come here and have some too"
"...Okay"
The two nuns sat down on the other side of the table and the one named Beth that had made the tea calmly drank the tea while the other one, named Lily eyed the two demons on the other side of the table, Mike poured some tea for himself before he sipped it a few times, then he spoke
"I must thank you two for the last time"
The calm nun showed a smile and spoke
"We only did what was right"
Mike felt Julie's eyes bore a hole in him from the side and so he was forced to explain
"They were the ones that helped me when I was poisoned"
Julie then suddenly eased up her expression
"Oh… In that case, I'll thank you for helping my husband out"
Mike put own the tea before he asked
"How much did they pay you?"
Beth looked slightly surprised before she asked
"Pay?"
Mike showed a smile as he pointed at the tea
"This has the same slow-acting poison in it, so how much did they pay you?"

"They didn't pay us, they pardoned us… For helping you"
"Oh, I see… The movies aren't far off huh…"
Mike reached out and stopped Julie from stabbing her [Hellsword] through the eye socket of the calm nun before he spoke to her
"She's innocent in this, well almost... The only crime she committed was being too weak to say no"
Julie sighed before her [Hellsword] disappeared again, then Mike stood up from the table and showed a smile
"Thanks for the tea"
Julie also stood up and glared at the two nuns before she followed after Mike that walked out of the church and soon arrived in the alleyway where he had been helped by the nuns before, Julie looked around curious like a kitten before she covered her nose and spoke
"Such a bad smell…"
"Well, yeah it's a dirty alley, what do you expect?"
"And the mana density is too low, what kind of place is it that you were born Mike?"
"Hmm.. It's about 2 days flight west, but there are no people there anymore"
"I see… Well then, what should we do about the peepers?"
