"I just gave you immortality. It will be simple to live for thousands of years at the very least." said Robin. Cathrin's pupil widened. The Nod scientists had already told them their lifespan had been stretched far more than any other human being as their genes had already been repaired.

Thanks to the Terrans' quantum computing technology, which helped identify the genetic issue causing aging, Cathirn, Rita, and Sauvik were all able to undergo the realignment procedure, which made their bodies age much more slowly and made living for 400 to 500 years easily attainable. But now she was hearing her boyfriend say that she could live for thousands of years.

"How.. How did this happen?" Cathrin trembled. She did not experience a skin-glow or experience her age to be reversed during the gene realignment process. She just started aging very slowly from that point and there was not physical change in her body, but here she could easily see the change and feel it.

Then Robin continued to describe what he had done and produced on Mars.

"You made the Traveler? You are insane." When Cathrin learned what her lover had done, she was in complete shock.

"Cathrin.. Are you alright? Breakfast is ready." It was a woman's voice that rang out from outside the restroom.

"Coming, mom." Loudly responding, Cathrin could hear herself coughing as she did so. She was unable to process what had just transpired.

"You need to go.. But.. Thanks.. You just lifted my greatest worry." stated Cathrin. Robin was perplexed by this because he didn't know what she meant.

Robin questioned, "What do you mean?"

"I always knew you would live a long life since you possess such incredible abilities that are comparable to those of a God, and it occasionally made me sad to think that I would only get to experience a small portion of your existence. But now that you've given it to me I can live with you for a very long time, even though I still realize that it won't be enough because you'll have a longer life, I'm still a little selfish and would like to have you as a part of my life for as long as I can."

This left Robin somewhat speechless and almost a few tears in his eyes. He had never thought his thoughtless immortality sharing would make his girlfriend this emotional. He wasn't ready for that and it was at that time he knew that he was going to propose to her.

And it ought to be finished soon. They had been together for almost a year now and it was time they tied the knot.

"I'll never let you be apart from me. I promise you that." said Robin. He gave her a kiss before apparating back to his roof since he had to go.

It didn't matter how he traveled as long as it was quick because it was the same for him in any case.

"Thanks for the gift babe.. Thank you so much." As he returned to his room, he saw a text on his phone.

"Thank you so much. I love you."

"Love you too."

Even though Robin knew he was clean and couldn't possibly have dirt or hazardous bacteria on his body or skin, he still enjoyed his shower as usual.

May 2, 2024

Since acquiring new skills a few days prior, Robin had been steadily growing in strength. Mars had already been terraformed and according to the Traveler, Mars was made as a garden world for humans.

Everything on this planet was designed to be safe for people. All of the animals and other species could live in harmony with the plants and trees that had grown because they posed no threat to them in any way. People would be permitted to travel and dwell there as soon as the military on Mars gets the all-clear. The humans had already been informed that the terraforming had been completed.

As a result, people were astounded by North Korea's accomplishments and technological advancements. And this time, virtually no one criticised North Korea. Since Mars didn't belong to them to begin with, and they guarded humanity before.

Nearly everyone on social media praised North Korea when a tiny minority complained that North Korea was getting the better end of the bargain and that it wasn't just that it was grabbing the entirety of Mars.

"You mad bro.. They stood up for us, providing us with jobs, free health benefits, the ability to travel to space and even live there. And you still want from them without working a day for them? Get your BS out of here."

"This is utterly absurd. When they are doing so much for us, I find it hard to believe you would say something like this. My parents had been under the terror of the drug peddlers nearby as they are very violent. North Koreans were the ones who arrived and cleaned up the neighborhood. They have my full support in anything they do. They improved and facilitated our way of life. You ought to be ashamed of yourself."

These remarks were directed at the individuals who were disparaging North Korea's policies and effectively shunning them from social media platforms. Of course Robin had no idea about it because at the moment, he was in a call with the world leaders.

It was a fresh new faces of world leaders that he was watching at the moment, at least most of the faces were new and only a few of the old faces remained. It was evidence of the work North Korea had accomplished in recent months. The majority of world leaders were corrupted or engaged in horrific acts during their lifetimes to rise to power.

They were either incarcerated or facing a trial that would result in their execution for some terrible acts. Robin was watching all of them while he was in his home, while his parents had gone put for someone's marriage. Robin preferred to stay at home and had no interest in attending those kind of social occasions.

Additionally, the new world leaders had asked him to meet with them, so he had this meeting to attend. Robin attended this online "zoom" conference while wearing his typical mask.

"It's nice to see new faces around here." The meeting's stillness was broken by Robin's statements. Certain world leaders trembled. They were aware of what transpired at the previous gathering and how some of them had passed away. Nobody wanted to have a position of authority, but being without a leader was also impractical, so the government selected the most deserving candidate to succeed the current king.

Of course, they made sure that the man picked to be their new leader had the necessary skills, was well-liked by the populace, was morally upright, and could also comprehend politics. For the administrations, the past few months have been a nightmare.

Due to the fact that the previous leaders of both the opposition and the ruling parties in numerous nations were imprisoned, the democratic parties were forced to present candidates who were honest and to hold elections. It was a massive overhaul and though the entire filth to be cleaned would take a lot of time, they were at least in the right track.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. President." – Guatemala. Following that, he was greeted by other nations as well, and some of them even expressed their congratulations for defeating the aliens.

"So if you are done with niceties, can you tell why you have all called me?" Robin enquired. Normally, he wouldn't take such calls because some of them were still filthy and because politics had always seemed nasty to him because of what his father had taught him. However, politics were necessary for a civilization to run well. Therefore, he had to be as accommodating to him as possible.

"Uhh.. If it is possible, how can we honor the combat heroes? – Kuwait.

"Yes. We only know that they resemble humans; we are unaware of their identities and past. The Earth would like to know about them, honor them for all they had done and also build memorial in the capital of each country in the world for the dead so that the war would never be forgotten." -UK

Of course Robin was aware of their desires. What the leaders of the world were requesting was already known to him. This call for congratulations was also a ruse since they only wanted to use it as an excuse to stay in touch with the civilization that had sheltered them in the hopes that it would assist them in a similar manner to how it assisted North Korea.

Robin disliked politics because it made him feel a little disgusted, but he could also see why the nations were making such decisions. Making contact with the aliens was the best way for them to avoid falling behind in the forthcoming space colonization.
