The man closed the laptop and Robin got up in his feet. The man was taken aback by this, and he hastily drew his weapon and pointed it in Robin's direction. He did this because Robin was restrained in the chair with his wrists and feet tied, and the chair was arranged in such a way that it prevented him from escaping, but here he was, free as a bird. This prompted him to act as he did. Robin chose not to even bother looking at the gun that was pointed in his direction.

He had previously untied the rope that was wrapped around his feet, and with a single pull, he was able to release the rope from his hands as well. When the man saw how Robin managed to release himself, he was completely dumbfounded. That might have been more comprehensible if Robin had some kind of military background or training, but he didn't. After conducting in-depth research on him, he came to the conclusion that he was a very average person who had just been lucky somehow.

"I would appreciate it if, instead of aiming that muzzle at me, you would open the door and let my buddies out as well." Robin stated. The man was still shook up and remained immobile until he heard some words in his earpiece. At that point, he moved. He removed his hand from the gun and then went on to open the door. Then, with a nod of his head, Robin left. When Robin came out, he discovered that he was in a lengthy corridor. Robin did nothing except stand there, and after a few seconds, both of the doors opposite to hers opened as well, revealing the two women.

Sigret and Myrene.

It appeared as though the CIA had rented a massive warehouse and constructed underground quarters within it.

"Did they annoy you?" Robin asked. Both Sigret and Myrene gave a denial sign by shaking their heads. Myrene was questioned in the same way that Robin was, and in fact, the CIA inquired about her more than Robin did since they could sense that something was very wrong with Myrene. Even though it appeared from all the records, video cams, and other evidence that Myrene was doing just well, the supervisor still had the feeling that there was something wrong with Myrene. But, the call came from the Director to release all three of them at the same time, which prevented him from questioning her further.

He voiced against it, but Director didn't seem to care. Nobody tried to stop the three of them, so they were free to leave.

"Director, I don't understand. Not only you are freeing them but also exposing this blacksite of ours."

"Shawn, I am aware that you are frustrated, but unfortunately there is nothing that I can do to help. I had hoped that the threat of being taken hostage would be enough to scare him into giving up the secret ingredient, but he was on to us the whole time. He was aware that the CIA was going to find him. Even though he may not appear like much, folks like him are not susceptible to being persuaded."

"Ha.. If we are able to knock out some teeth, then he would have readily given us what we want," the speaker said.

"We are unable to proceed in that manner. They are going to come after our heads as soon as those folks in the black suits know that we have tampered with them." Burns said

"Those godawful black suits. They ought to be eliminated." The supervisor said.

"Then you get to see the entire globe descend into anarchy. No, Shawn, the messed-up order we now have is the best option we have right now. Maintain vigilance on him, and make sure he doesn't get away from you. Inform the Prime Minister to free the airstrip so that three helicopters can land there: two for combat and one for passengers. Given that this individual has promised to provide us with the components, we owe it to our visitors to at least show some courtesy towards them." Burns stated.

"He is unquestionably a well-trained individual. Nobody else can easily free themselves like he did. he did it. At least the women were the same as everyone else." Shawn continued to think about how easy he had broken free of the bonds even as he spoke, and he said this while still thinking about it.

There was a justification for why he didn't treat Robin harshly. The way he carried himself reminded him of all the large families he had worked with, and at this point, he was ninety percent certain that Robin was connected to the individuals who he called  "black suits." They referred to those powerful families and the consortium that controlled everything as by that name. Robin's behaviour was identical to those of the others.

Even if there was no concrete proof of it, he was certain that Robin was involved with them; otherwise, it was impossible for a nobody to casually conjure such high-level medication and sell it on the market. Because Robin was merely the go-between in this situation and represented the consortium, it was in everyone's best interest to be kind towards him.

Burns was, without a doubt, wholly and absolutely incorrect. Robin did not have any link of this kind, and the reason he was able to act so nonchalantly in the face of his threats and intimidation was because he was confident in his ability to strike back in the cruelest way imaginable.

"It is time to decommission this blacksite and find a new location. The red alert has been activated for Alpha ZeroM and will remain so until further notice. Make sure that the five undercover operatives remain hidden while you reshuffle them. I have no idea what these people in black suits have in mind by releasing such a drug into the world, but all of us ought to exercise extreme caution. Given that this guy has extended an invitation to us, let's investigate what those folks have in store for us." After saying that, Burns ended the call by hanging up the phone.

Immediately following the phone call, there was a knock on the door of his office.

"Sir, he is here." His Secretary leaned around the corner and whispered.

"Send him and in. And disconnect this office." Burns stated. When a minute had passed, a man clad in a long coat and a cap entered the room. This person's identity was concealed by a black mask that he wore over his face. Burns didn't seem to bother that the person was hiding their identity by donning a mask.

"Mr. X, you are a hard man to find." Burns stated.

"Maybe because the times are a little more unsettling with all the killings that have been going on around," she said.

"And it is the reason why you are in this room. I want you to look into the massacre that took place in California. We need to know what hit us." Burns stated. They would be taken aback if JARVIS or Sigret were present in this office at this time to see what was taking place. CIA had recruited a man in a disguise to investigate the murders that had taken place in California while it remained hidden from the connected network. Even Burns' workplace was devoid of any and all forms of modern technology.

After exiting the building, Robin and the two women found themselves in a dark, wide street that was devoid of any street lights. They were in a distant location from the city for sure.

"Where in the hell am I supposed to find a taxi right now?" Robin was getting aggravated.

"I can contact TARDIS if you want." Sigret said close to his ears.

"And risk exposing ourselves.... Damn it.. Let's hoof it back to the house and see if someone offers to give us a ride. Women, it's time you utilise your face to save me." Both of them responded to Robin's statement by rolling their eyes. It was only at times like these that he would remember that Sigret and Myrene both had beautiful faces.

And Robin was absolutely correct; the CIA was keeping tabs on them at the time. A specialised drone with stealth technology had been sent to follow him around at all times. Despite the fact that the drone was flying at a considerable height, it had a microphone that was sensitive enough to pick up their dialogue.

After half an hour of walking and encountering many automobiles, they were really fortunate when a  SUV pulled over since the driver observed two adorable women holding their thumbs. He was generous and took them to the city. Once they arrived in the city, Sigret phoned a cab for them, and the driver transported them to their residence.

Now, Sigret was being especially cautious and trying to avoid any potential danger. She was aware of the drone, and until the situation had been resolved, it was imperative that they appear as unperturbed as possible. Even though it was a nuisance, doing it this way was the best option.

The group had gotten back together after getting back home and paying the taxi driver in cash. Nobody could even tell that a gang of men had come and turned the house upside down just a few hours earlier because everything in the room was in its proper place.

"They are quite methodical in their approach." While Robin was glancing about, he made a comment.

The ninth of April, 2023

It had only been a few days since the episode with the kidnapping, but there had been no additional communication from the CIA. According to JARVIS and Sigret, the CIA was extremely busy reorganising the operatives and assets that they had here in the country while simultaneously ensuring that Robin would not strike them. He also learned that Robin was thought of as a member of an exclusive club that controlled the world in which he laughed.

He also learned that Robin was thought of as a member of an exclusive club that controlled the world in which he laughed.

At this particular day, Robin and Cathrin was hanging out.

She chose to dress comfortably despite the warm weather by donning a skirt and a cropped blouse with puffed sleeves. Both of the pieces were white in colour. Even Robin was dressed casually in contrast to how lovely she looked. But, even in that Robin had quite a bit of charisma, which made him appear handsome. When they were having their conversation, Cathrin was preoccupied with drinking some mango juice.

"When will the beginning of the trials be? Might I sign up as a volunteer?" When Cathrin found out what type of medicine Labcorp was working on, she asked, and she was incredibly happy when she learned about the miracles the medicine was going to do if everything went according to plan. Cathrin posed the question as soon as she finally got the information.

"Are you certain that you wish to participate in the volunteer programme? It has not yet been granted approval by the FDA in the United States." She was reminded by Robin. It's possible that she has an unhealthy amount of enthusiasm.

"I trust you." Cathrin said as she took a sip while making a slurping noise. In the midst of their conversation, his phone rang.

"They are here," said Sigret.
