As the sun rose, Bai Xue who had been worried over Wang Ling's state of mind fell to silence. Her usual rowdy-self became shut for an entire night. In an entire night filled with an eerie silence, Bai Xue sat beside Wang Ling without uttering a word.

With Bai Xue by his side, Wang Ling also kept his silence. He did not utter a word and just embrace the melancholy surfacing from deep within. He need not say the whole story to Bai Xue because she did not need to know what truly happened.

But as the sun rose and the darkness was felled by the light of the sun, Wang Ling stood up gracefully and extended his hands towards Bai Xue who had been silent. Bai Xue was hesitant, but Wang Ling merely smiled as he said, "It is fine, my matters will be resolved in time. But if I am to fall into the abyss that is hatred and rage, please be there and pull me back up." His words carried more weight than his swords.

Bai Xue quietly stood up and sigh, she forced a smile as she jumped over his shoulders as she quietly utter, "Don't worry, I still owe you for not leaving me that time. I'll pull you out of the abyss no matter how many times you fall as payment."

A silent nod was given as a reply, Bai Xue wrapped her tail around Wang Ling's neck and fell asleep. She had been up for a whole night and this was coming from a person who sleeps for days to no end. So, it was no wonder she managed to fall asleep.

Though it was also true a beast of her caliber can stay awake for months to years, Bai Xue simply loves to sleep (cultivate) so she chooses to grab every opportunity to do it. Thankfully, Wang Ling was a person who can protect her even if she were to sleep for days. He won't complain so he was the perfect bed to have.

She peacefully lay on Wang Ling's shoulders, but her mind had a lot of things processing.

[He had killed him? I thought he caused his death, but it seems like the hatred he forces upon himself is more understandable than what I would have thought. If that happens to me if I had to kill either him or the lass… I don't think I'll be able to handle it.]

Bai Xue was a loner before she ended up in the Celestial Spirit Realm. Although she was not expecting anything in this realm that had just opened up from out of nowhere, she managed to get a grasp of what a family might be like.

She did not know what it feels to be showered by affection without the relation of lust or fear. But to her surprise, it was actually pretty enjoyable. Having a normal life in a world without chaos would be fun, but considering time was closing in and she had to one day return to the Heaven Realm, Bai Xue was left with a feeling of loss.

[If not for these stupid obligations I would have long abandoned the heaven… but as the future Beast God, I must rise and become that symbol. Tsk, this blood of mine is nothing but useless trouble…]

Bai Xue cursed inside her head and began to enter deep sleep. At the moment she was at the peak of Grand Saint Stage, and so was Wang Ling. Their cultivation was at the peak of the Grand Saint Stage and it was nearing the time when they should break through the next realm.

They have to win this competition in order for them to be granted a swift passage to Dominion Realm.

Wang Ling went out of his abode and went back to the Roaring Lightning Stage. The sun had just risen, but Mao Lan, Fu Peng, and Lu Tao was already there chatting about something. As soon as they arrived, Lu Tao greeted them with a smile on his face.

"Good day, Little Wang Ling. Did you managed to get a good night's sleep?" Lu Tao asked curiously.

"I did Old Thunderlord, thank you for worrying about this little one." Wang Ling acted like some kind of good child and slightly lowered his head. He began looking around and noticed no one was there other than the five of them.

"Are we not going to leave, Old Thunderlord? I heard the invincible City was at the border of the Red Lands, are we not going to leave just yet?" Wang Ling asked curiously.

Fu Peng laughed and tapped the stage with his right foot. The twelve pillars that surrounded the stage glowed brightly and Fu Peng brought out a talisman from within his clothes, "We are going to leave, we are already standing at the Teleportation Array after all."

Fu Peng threw the talisman overhead and then a bright light exploded forth. It pierced the skies and parted the clouds. Wang Ling closed his eyes as visibility was lost and the space around him began to warp.

Space was a complicated thing but as his world began to be enveloped by a flash of white light. Wang Ling could feel a large distortion in space. The large scale teleportation array was something he had not seen before that it rendered him speechless.

[Such an amazing craft.] Was the thought that emerged in his head. Wang Ling embraced the light and before he knew it, the qi that surrounded him had changed to a much denser type. The denseness of qi became something a qi gathering array could never match.

Wang Ling opened his eyes after noticing such a thing and the first thing that came to his sight was a city that stretches over to the skies. A tall wall that was over hundreds of meters high. It stretches to both left and right with no end a magnificent sight for a grandly named city.

A City that had been built to contain the inhabitants of the Red Lands and the Origin World. A City that had been built to become the first and last bastion of the realm if another Outbreak of Abyssal Demons were to once again step foot on the Celestial Spirit Realm. The Endless Walls of the Realm, it was the Invincible Walls and beyond these walls is the oldest city of the Celestial Spirit Realm…. the Invincible City.
