Wang Ling exited the plaza and went somewhere else. Qin An was left to look at his disappearing back and a smirk crept up his face, such a look made people shudder.

He too turned and left for somewhere else.

Wang Ling went to find his family but first escorted Yan Renhuo back to the place where she resided. Yan Renhuo was happy to be escorted by the one she fancies.

Wang Ling stopped by and left her at the manor owned by the Yan Clan. He entered the manor and then was just about to leave after exchanging some words with Yan Renhuo when someone from inside the Manor opened the doors and saw the two of them standing outside.

"Oh, Huo'er, you have come back already?" She saw Yan Renhuo and was surprised, "I have heard that you have passed the first and second events, oh my child, how outstanding, I knew you could do it." She approached Yan Renhuo and embraced her in her arms.

Yan Renhuo did not fight the lady and just let her do what she wanted. Yan Renhuo seemed to be embarrass to be seen being cuddled, but she did not seem displeased by the action. Rather, the smile on her showed most of her emotions.

The lady attracted the eyes of Wang Ling for her hair was as red as the hottest flames just like Yan Renhuo's. She seemed young, around the age of thirty, and her allure was enticing to those looking. The lady seemed to also have taken notice of him and smiled brightly.

"Oh, you must be the First Young Master of the Wangs. I am Sun Yuwen, Yan Renhuo's birth mother. I have heard of the many stories about your kindness from Huo'er." Sun Yuwen lowered her head ever so slightly to show her courtesy towards the benefactor of her daughter.

"It is not much. Both our families are friends and I see her as a family so it is not much trouble." Wang Ling giggled upon seeing the bright smile on Sun Yuwen.

On the side, Yan Renhuo's face turned red at the mention of family and such a look did not escape Sun Yuwen's attention. She chortled and spoke once again, "Hohoho, Ling'er, now that you are here, might I interest you in having tea with this old lady?"

"Mother, Brother Ling is just about to leave. We will be troubling him." Yan Renhuo interjected.

Sun Yuwen's smile was wiped from her face and a saddened look replaced it, "Oh, is that so?"

Wang Ling giggled at their antics, "If it is just for a short while, then it is no problem on my side." he answered.

"That would be great. Come and follow me inside. Huo'er please stop making such a face, it is unladylike." Sun Yuwen entered the manor and had Wang Ling follow her closely behind.

Yan Renhuo could only sigh at the sight of it all. But when she stared at her mother's back, she was secretly happy to see her acting like so. She followed them on the way to a courtyard where an open pavilion was built in the middle of a pond.

She offered Wang Ling to sit across her and wanted to offer him tea but then she realized that her overexcitement resulted in her not actually preparing anything.

"Huo'er, dear, can you please fetch me the Jade Turtle's Teapot? Also, don't act in haste and act like a proper lady while you are at it. We can't have you acting like a silly barbarian while we have a guest here."

Yan Renhuo was conflicted at first but in the end, she followed what her mother wanted her to do. She walked slowly and acted like a proper lady without any complaints.

Upon seeing her leave, Sun Yuwen turned to Wang Ling and asked, "Is she not a good kid?"

"She is very kind and strong at the same time." Wang Ling answered while complimenting Yan Renhuo.

"So, do you wish to marry my lovely daughter?" A sudden question from Sun Yuwen.

It was so sudden that it made Wang Ling blank for a moment and could only answer with, "Pardon?"

"Her affection for you is not a lie. Her eyes brighten when she speaks of you and aside from being with her family she never truly smiles. Ling'er, my dear, do you know of Huo'er's moniker?"

"Is it not the Red Savage Alchemist?"

"That is correct. But do you know how she got that nickname?" Wang Ling shook his head and Sun Yuwen added, "It is because she was violent and unapproachable and because of her peerless talents in Alchemy she was given the name. But that is not my Huo'er. She only became like that because of her desire to help me live and her fear of losing someone dear to her again."

"Is there anything wrong with your health, Mistress Sun?" Wang Ling asked in a concerned voice.

"Well, I have what you call the [Hell's Soul Flower]."

"Hell's Flower? That means…" he became surprised and sad after hearing such a thing.

"It seems like I need not explain any further. The Hell's Soul Flower has already taken root on my meridians and is approaching my heart and will soon devour my soul. As to where it stands, I am going to die in twenty to thirty years. There's quite a long time to go, but considering I am a Celestial, such a time short. And overall, the life of a cultivator where seclusion may take ten to twenty years in one sitting, my time is too short for me to see her grow." Sun Yuwen had a sad smile on her face.

"And since Huo'er knows of my condition, she had been saying she will concoct the pill that will save my life ever since she was six years old. Even though his father, the current most brilliant alchemist of the central regions had failed, she still wants to do something for this useless mother of hers. She lives a life that is not circling around her own but to someone who's about to die like myself. That is the reason why she buries herself on her research and raise her proficiency in alchemy. And as for the reason why she is known as the Red Savage, she simply wants the one who wants to stand with her someone who will not die and leave her side like her sister. You see…"

Su Yuwen's stories were cut short as Yan Renhuo came back with the teapot. She looks at Wang Ling and smiled like usual and then handed her mother the teapot. After this, Yan Renhuo never left their side so the story did not get to end.

And before Wang Ling knew it he was already about to leave with Sun Yuwen seeing him off and asking him a few things.

"Please come back and have a tea with us once again and look after my daughter for me."

Both imply heavy meanings that made Wang Ling rethink of some things.
