Ever since Yiren entered the academy, Michael would always follow her around and observe her actions. He can see the emotions welling up in her eyes as she stared towards a certain black haired man and a red haired girl who was kissing each other inside a library. Yiren was watching them from a safe position and he can see the jealousy and pain in her eyes before she left the two.
He didn't meddled with her business since she didn't called him for help. He has seen the same situations with the previous masters he had, he knew what was happening to her, someone she loves was cheating on her.
Although it surprised him when he saw how calm she was unlike the previous masters he had who would always order him around to make them suffer.
He watched her everyday and her scent was growing stronger as she kept on keeping the despair she was feeling inside her.
'No wonder her soul has a strong scent, this little girl knows how to deal with her emotions.' He smirked.
One day, he finally saw her approach the two and instead of lashing out to the man, she calmly talked with him but the pain in her eyes didn't escaped his sight.
'Oh, so that man is her Ogre lover?' He was sitting on a tree branch in his cat form as he watched them from the window. He saw everything until she tried pulling away from the man's hug.
'I guess I should at least help her out in this.' He never felt sorry for the lowly human masters he had whenever he watched them in pain but seeing Yiren trying her best not to cry made his stone heart crack.
There was no students on the hall since classes ended a while ago. He appeared before them in his human form.
"Yiren." He pulled her away from Luke and buried her face on his chest, he didn't want to see her cry for Luke.
He pulled down her sleeve and touched the mark on her shoulder. "How this disgusting this is."
He bent down and kissed the mark, as soon as his lips touched the mark, it disappeared. He took a glance on Luke and gave him a provoking smirk.
Yiren felt the chills coming from his cold lips. It surprised her when her body started feeling light as a feather. What did he do?
"I will be taking her now, if you'll excuse us." He carried Yiren in his arms and turned away.
He was about to leave but stopped when he felt a strong dark magic behind him. He turned back to Luke and saw horns growing in his head as his eyes started becoming red.
"Give.her.back.to.me." He glared at Michael as he gritted his teeth.
Michael smirk grew wider as he raised an eyebrow, he watched Luke transform in his Ogre form.
The moment Luke saw how Michael held Yiren, his face became so gloomy and at the same time, something was telling him that he should not let him take her away. A coldness suddenly emanated from this body. He became furious upon seeing that the man in front of him was able to erase his mark on Yiren. This could only mean one thing, he was a magical creature like him and... he was stronger than Luke.
