Chapter 287 287 - Marriage Proposal

But there were a few things they needed to take in hand.
First, food. They needed to exchange food as a currency to buy stuff. Meal tokens issued by the barrack were also used but most of the times vendors would not accept it because it's easily stolen and used by others.
Second... Yue walked into Juda's room and held her hand, copying her powers.
They were going to shop for a lot of things and they would be carrying a lot of food with them. it was not safe to carry them in hand. It was better to store it in his own space.
But there was a huge downside to this power. If he touched someone else by accident and copied their powers, the initial space just disappears and anything he stored inside will be gone.
Tian gave him a smile. "You know if you weren't my brother I would have cut your hands for touching her as you want"
"Eh, calm down overprotective girlfriend. I'm not touching her inappropriately. I'm just copying her abilities." He wore his gloves. "Do you guys need anything at home? I'm going to check out the market."
"Get some candy, Juda, and Lui likes them,"
"Sure," Yue hugged his dear sister once again.
"Be safe, okay,"
Yue walked over to his room, where Lui was resting. He checked her temperature and pulse. They were normal. She was just resting. "Wake up soon. Next time, we'll all go shopping. I know you love shopping, right?"
Lui sighed softly in her sleep.
"Looks like you agree. I'll buy you guys some candy."
He walked over to the small string hanging from the top of the ceiling. He pulled it down, revealing the stairs that led to the storage fridge.
The frigid, cold smoke gushed out.
"Good, the refrigerator is working," he climbed up and checked on the stock. Everything he had brought was still in there unused.
It was mostly because of his mother's and father's ability.
His dad can grow the fresh vegetable and his mum can cook only a bit of the food and duplicate it and enlarge it. This really conserved a lot of their food conception.
If not, half of these would have been emptied out.
When he was preparing for the apocalypse he was only stocking up for three people but their family was huge now. They had Fan, Tian, Juda, Lui, Hary, Trexa, the chickens and quails, the cat...
So many members to feed.
He was secretly glad that his mum and dad awakened very useful and powerful abilities or else earning food work have been very difficult.
Walking up the stock of instant ramen, he took three boxes of them. inside each box, there was fifty ramen. It would be really enough to buy everything they needed for Fan's house.
He stocked them up in his space. for assurance, he even took a few more packets in a small bag which he planned to carry in hand.
"Yue, you ready?" Fan shouted from below."
"I'm done, wait I'm not done." He ran to the stairs leading to the roof. The damage needed to be checked and repaired or else burglars might try to enter their house again.
Climbing up, he was stunned by the sight. The whole roof was covered by the thick pea plant. It was creeping all over the chicken mesh wire he had set up over the solar sheets.
The willow tree's top was also poking out in the middle.
"Hmmm... this is not good," he gently tugged at the pea plant. It shook slightly, responding to his touch. "You can't creep over here. If you obstruct the sun's rays we won't have electricity."
The pea plant just silently laid there.
"Peachy you have to listen to me. Climb down,"
The willow tree shook its branches brushing peachy away slightly. The pea plant crept over the willow trees tops and left the roof free.
"you guys can't creep out here, okay? We need these sheets to be exposed to sun."
The willow tree nodded it's branched.
"Good, willow take care of peachy. She loved to make trouble,"
He climbed down, closed the hatch door and locked it.
Fan Xui was standing in the walk-in freezer right below the stairs he was on with a bright smirk. "What a view."
"Stop looking at my butt," he jumped down and hugged him. "Come on, we have less time. We have to finish our shopping trip before sundown,"
"is it still sore now? I'll massage it for you tonight," He gently squeezed his butt.??
Fan Xui lifted him down but as soon as he saw Yue's dad in the room, he gently dropped Yue down.??
Yue adjusted his shirt that had ridden up when he was carried. "D-dad....."
"Yue child... is he.. are you both... doing... stuff..." he asked with an awkward look on his face.
"honey~ don't ask embarrassing questions. We were like that too when we were young," his mum came to the rescue pulling his dad away.
"but Yue is just nineteen!"
"We were just eighteen..."
This shut his father's complaints. "I still can't believe that Fan! Hey, you are supposed to be the mature one in the relationship. Why are you guys.. intimate.., when Yue is just a baby?"
"I'm not a baby," Yue stood in front of his lover. "and don't blame Fan. I asked for it. I'm horny too, you know."
His father looked like he was on the verge of fainting.
"Dad get used to it. I like having sex with him because I love this man."
"N-Nui... did you hear that? oh my god, that fan Xui stole our child!. we lost our child to that.. That rich man!"??His father dramatically cried hugging his wife.
"Honey stop overreacting. They are young lovers.. plus don't you remember Fan asked for Yue's hand in marriage."
This time it was Yue's turn to be shocked. "w-what? Marriage.." he glanced back.
Fan Xui had a bright flush on his face. "we should get going Now," he dragged him out of the house. "see you soon Mr. and Mrs. Zou, and you too Tian. Take care of Juda and Lui. If you need anything just call me. I'll be at the barracks," he said, pushing Yue, who was still frozen out the door.
Zou Wei and Zou Nui just stood there in shock. "Wife, are you really ready to marry Yue off?"
"Yeah if he wants to. He can get married."
"no.. That's not what I'm asking about.. your situation.. it might get worse..."
"I'm fine. I'll be fine. When Yue's with Fan I somehow feel comforted. I know that man will give up his life to save our child so my anxiety is nonexistent. Give them permission. Lets them get married,"
"I still don't accept it. It's too soon for marriage. Maybe five or ten years later they can,"' Tian who was silently listening to this conversation injected.
"Hmm you're right too." Zou Nui pouted.
