Outside on the top of the tomb, Xavious started to check the seemly infinite amount of pockets he had in his coat to see what he dropped.

"Fuck the key!"

He fully intended to go back down far it in spite of the tomb shaking beneath his feet but when he heard the dozens of howls getting nearer he quickly tossed the idea aside but still he couldn't let Azreal escape he had to leave someone for the wolves to let out their frustration on, so before he ran off he took tiny crystal— that gave off an ominous aura — out of his cloak and put it right next to the opening.

Without wasting any more time Xavious ran off before the howling wolves got any closer.

Inside the collapsing tomb, Azreal has just gotten up and just checking his body.

He decided not to think about what just happened until he got out of the tomb, without hesitation his now naked body was once again engulfed in flames.

Jumping into the air Azreal intended to use the falling debris as launching pads to go higher until he was able to go through the hole at the top like Xavious did.

And so far so good, it didn't matter how small or larger the pieces that were falling were as long as he could get a steady foothold he used them as a launching pad and those that weren't useful were burned to a cinder.

Just as he could reach out and touch the opening and pull himself out, a blinking red light caught his attention the closer he got the faster it blinked— he could sense the ominous aura it gave off— before he could get any closer or get a better look.

Boom!!

The explosion knocked him back, but it didn't stop there the entire top of the tomb was destroyed and the shock wave that followed destroyed the ground beneath.

Xavious who was already so far away that the hill seemed like a tiny speck in the distance ducked a little when he heard the explosion.

"Ehh guess I used too much Fire crystal"

That was all the reaction he had, he started walking like he was out for a midday stroll in the forest.

Azreal who was still falling looked around for any other exit since the top was no longer an option because of the hundreds of rocks now falling he'd have a warm time try to get out since he didn't know what was behind each rock.

But where there's a will there's a way, when Azreal spun around to see if there were any options beneath he felt a slight draft of wind coming from below.

Azreal began to frantically look for the opening where the wind was coming through but he had no such luck, the only other option was to follow the draft and hope for the best.

Repeating the same actions he did to get the top he headed straight for where the draft was coming from, he couldn't just lay still and let himself fall to it with the number of rocks that were coming down they'd block any path.

Looking at the ground Azreal saw an opening in the ground, with any hesitation he dived right in and rolled a few meters from the opening to avoid the rocks that would be coming in after him.

As it turned out it was a good thing too, the dozens of rocks that followed him completely seal off his only exit, he could still hear the rocks falling on the ground above, so staying here wasn't the best idea.

Extinguishing the flames that covered his entire body and reigniting it in his palm the passage went dark before lighting up again.

Looking around at the rocks that blocked his path of retreat, Azreal saw a small glitter something reflecting, walking over to it he saw tip of a claw hanging out from beneath the rocks, curious he pushed his fire covered hand closer to it burning away part of the rock until he could see what it was.

A wolf's paw.

Pulling it out with his free hand, he didn't get time to examine it before rocks started shaking, the balance that was struck was destroyed when he removed the claw.

Not waiting to see what would happen next Azreal ran off, in the distance, he could hear the tumbling of rocks.

As things are now nothing behind had anything to do with him, so he just continued heading in the only direction he could, straight.

With Xavious betraying him and leaving him for dead he originally thought that there was nothing more to this tomb aside from what was above but it would seem that there is more to it.

The pictures on the wall told a story from what Azreal could make out, some wolves had to run away from their previous home because they were being hunted for sport by the ones who ruled that area but when they came here it wasn't much better, since they were considered the weakest they were forced into manual labor, though they were killed their tribesmen starved, eventually a young wolf ran away from home vowing to come back and kill those who mistreated his tribesmen.

Because of this, the wolves were treated even worst, but eventually, decades later the young wolf did return and he did keep his promise, his tribesmen looked at him like he was a god, under his tutelage they wolves grew stronger until they were now the new Kings but eventually, the young wolf disappeared.

Not wanting to be like those who killed them or enslaved them before the wolves carved out a piece of land for themselves and avoided the outside world.

When Azreal read this he only grew angry, these warbeast only wanted to be left to themselves and now because of Xavious the tomb of their most beloved leader was destroyed, he couldn't imagine them being happy about it.
