Once the cat and the hippopotamus took care of those guards the only thing left to do was go back through the arena and find the living quarters, since none of them know any other way they planned on heading straight through the ring.

Most of the guards had already ran off to deal with the crowds, so they weren't many blocking their path.

What surprised them a bit was that at the top stairs the guards were gone and the only thing remaining was a well-armored pig with a broadsword, it stood almost directly in front of the exit that would lead to the arena.

The armored pig was originally just leaning on the wall relaxing but once it heard the footsteps it opened its eyes and grabbed a hold of its broadsword.

"All of you,r returned back to your cages"

Its voice sounded like it was naturally deep and with the armored mask on its face, it sounded even deeper.

It stood around seven feet tall, with its broadsword on its shoulder.

Looking at it and then looking at the warbeast in front of him Azreal spoke up.

"Cat, you're up"

When the cat heard Azreal call it, it looked at Azreal with a hint of surprise on its face and annoyance at being called a cat, so Azreal was quick to explain.

"Look at the armor it's wearing, it clearly can't move very fast and out of all of us you're the one whose most agile"

Hearing the explanation the cat paused to think about it for a second before stepping forward.

"I never agreed to be here, I was stolen from home, from my family and I intend on going back home"

When Azreal heard that he frowned a little but didn't say anything.

The cat walked forward with its claws expended an inch.

Wossssh

Without wasting a minute the cat ran forward, ramming its claws into the pigs' armor but it was to no avail it only created a slight dent.

The armored pig didn't intend on hesitating a second swing down it broadsword full force, fully intent on smashing the cat but was a second too slow the cat in an incredible show of reflexibility jumped on top of the sword and used it as a sort of spring to jump in the pig's face aiming for its eyes.

Wossh

Sensing it actions the pig managed to dodge at the last second by abandoning it sword and jumping back, the cat had its fingers together in the form of a dagger, if the armored pig had reacted a second too late then it would've lost an eye or its life to those extending claws.

Watching the exchange that had only lasted seconds Azreal was quite surprised, after all, he intended to leave the cat behind as a distraction and he was about ninety percent sure it was going to die but now he wasn't so sure.

Seeing this he smiled a bit maybe it would get to go back to its family

"Cat, we're gonna go ahead, catch up with us after you're done here"

The cat nodded in response.

Azreal and the others began running towards the tunnel exit.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going, huh?!"

The pig that had backed off a second ago was running towards them but the cat was way faster quickly catching up to the pig and jumping on its back.

The pig had tried to sidestep the cat and shake it off but the agility of the cat proved itself, without a second to waste the cat rammed its dagger-like claws into the pig's eye.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!

The scream sounded like it was being slaughtered. from somewhere deep inside —or maybe it was just the fear of death— the pig summoned its strength and grabbed the cat slamming it into the ground creating a small hole.

In a moment of sheer rage, the pig completely discard Azreal and focused solely on the cat.

When it jammed its dagger-like hand into the pig's eye it started growing, In a small moment of distraction the cat had almost killed him, just a millisecond more and those claws would've reached his brain.

"You fucking vermin!"

Looking back and seeing the cat get slammed down into the ground, Azreal discarded his earlier thought that it might just survive and replaced it with one thought.

'It's definitely going to die'

Observing the face of everyone in his little group and based on the looks on their faces he knew that they all knew that the cat was going to die but none of them offered to stay behind, Azreal couldn't help but find it a bit funny.
