DPM Chapter 102-Surviving the Temple Part 1
Translated by Snowfall77

“What is a Dark Temple warrior?” Mozun spoke slowly. “And why would you mistake my partner as a Dark Temple warrior?”

Saman’s gaze abruptly darkened at Mozun’s question, a pained expression coming over the Saer’s face.

“This is……a….scar to us.” Giving no further explanation, Saman switched the subject. “If you really want to know so badly, establish the spirit link with us. Truly become one of us. Then you will know what I know and think, and in turn, I will understand what you know and think.”

Mozun had already heard that phrase ‘spirit link’ countless times from a Saer’s mouth. He’d also noted that apparently there was a way to sever it.

Unsure of what to do, Mozun was well aware there were too many things he didn’t yet grasp. But it seemed the more in-depth Saer matters could not be conveyed with words. Added to the fact that he was somewhat anxious about Wu Xingyun, Mozun found the atmosphere surrounding him oddly oppressive.

Saman extended a hand to Mozun: “In this way, are you ready to return? Join the body of the Deity. Join your spirit with the Deity’s and you will love us.”

“I still don’t know what to think,” Mozun backed away little by little, “I need more time to consider.”

A tiny smile on its face, Saman unhurriedly closed the gap between itself and Mozun. With an exceptionally tender voice and sincere eyes, the Saer said: “No matter, I……am willing to be with you in the way that you like while you make up your mind.”

What a fucking headache. Mozun’s impression of Saman was not good. The Saer was always asking for sex. Or was there some difference in wording between the two species that Mozun wasn’t grasping?

Trying to communicate with Saman in the human way, Mozun stated: “I have a spouse! And I love him a lot. I won’t physically join with anyone else except him.”

Saman dismissively retorted: “I am your spouse! And that one you speak of……Whatever relationship you had before doesn’t matter. Now he’s nothing but an insignificant creature.” Saman advanced another step closer to Mozun.

Turning his body slightly sideways, Mozun asked: “Do you know what love is?”

“I do know! But only between you and I can love arise!” Saman’s voice had turned resentful. Hadn’t Saman already been considerate of this new arrival’s moods? Hadn’t Saman already made allowances for Mozun not being a person of the Deity before? So for what reason was Mozun being so slow in making union with Saman?!

“If you want to make union with someone else……If you intend to betray me….That happens, it doesn’t matter if it’s you or your supposed spouse……it will mean death. Complete and utter death.” Viciousness dripped from Saman’s every word. “For those who betray the Saer there is only death!”

Saman peered into Mozun’s eyes, like it hoped it could pierce to the bottom of Mozun’s heart.

But all Saman could discern was two calm pupils and an unreadable mind.

“Here in this temple you shouldn’t be wasting so much time!” Saman pushed on, pointing at the pillar of light “Either you join with the Deity, linking your spirit with ours or……you make union with me. If you choose to do nothing, you are committing blasphemy against the Deity!”

Mozun’s knees bent just a little, preparing to fight.

Yet unexpectedly Saman’s tone softened, cool and clear like water, as it slowly half-knelt before Mozun, it’s lapel just open enough to tantalize: “Since you’re not used to the higher union, we can begin with your simple way of sex.”

Then all its clothes slipped off its body, revealing a perfect figure to Mozun. Flawless skin gleamed, accentuating the beautiful face. Mozun felt his pulse quicken in spite of himself.

Although, eyes sliding down the Saer’s body, Mozun found there was no apparent male or female genitalia.

“We only have one gender,” Saman faintly smirked. “But you can have what you like, in your way.”

Saman unhurriedly turned around, displaying tender buttocks slightly thrust out and impeccably slender thighs. A strong lust-inducing scent came from between its legs.

Mozun took a step back. If Saman kept going on like this, Mozun would have no choice but to become hostile. And now was not a opportune time for a confrontation.

Turning its head to look at Mozun, Saman laughed softly: “I can detect it. Your body heat is rising, your heart racing……So what are you waiting for?”

Moving towards Mozun, Saman took the mutant’s arms and placed Mozun’s palms on its waist. Then in an enticing voice whispered in Mozun’s ear: “Your hands, move them just a little further down and you can touch what you want to touch……”

Mozun abruptly clamped his arms around Saman, holding Saman firmly against his chest.

Suddenly a little uneasy, Saman said: “I……even though I know, still I haven’t done it……You……can you wait and take it slow?”

With a small laugh, Mozun smiled at Saman before turning the Saer’s body to the side and locking its arms down.

Saman didn’t resist, figuring Mozun’s actions were part of his customary mating habits. Though Saman did think Mozun’s manner was a bit boorish.

Only to hear the next second a very low and unquestionably menacing voice in its ear: “How do I sever the spirit link?”

Crooking its neck, Saman stared bewildered at Mozun: “You……” Only that one word escaped its mouth as Saman realized the situation was not good.

The channel of Saman’s spiritual power, located where the back of its head met its spine, was being ruthlessly pinched by Mozun’s hand.

Mozun was quite clear on what he was doing. When he’d still had Mijia’s book, the text had said to never let anyone near that area of the body. It was a sole weak point.

Therefore, except for Wu Xingyun, Mozun had never let anyone touch the spot behind his head.

Now, after hearing so much about the Saer, and even being considered a Saer light elder, Mozun felt fairly certain that Saman had the exact same weakness.

At first Mozun hadn’t wanted to make this gamble, yet circumstances were forcing his hand.

He either had to link his spirit to the Deity or have sex with the Saer facing him.

And both options were intolerable to Mozun.

Taking a risk out of desperation, Mozun asked the question he wanted answered the most—if his neurons was forced to spirit link, how could he sever the connection?
