DPM Chapter 19-Caught in the Act Part 2
Translated by Snowfall77

Even a Ghost solider dare not get too near to Mozun. Still, in Federation military history, Wu Xingyun was the one who’d managed to get in the closest to the Night Shard. Therefore, he was the best candidate to do it now.

The team member quickly passed Mozun’s exact location to Wu Xingyun, who swiftly turned and flew there. At about a kilometer away, he turned off his booster. Approaching surreptitiously, but quickly.

At five hundred meters, Wu Xingyun engaged his stealth device.

The stealth device used optics, creating visual blind spots, undetectable to the naked eye. The only thing that could be sensed was air flow and distortion. Because of the air distortion, the device also scrambled the wearer’s body heat signature and other vital signs. So that, as long as they weren’t too close, even someone with exceptional perceptions like Mozun wouldn’t detect the Ghost.

Wu Xingyun, crouching like a cat, now moved forward more slowly. When he was one hundred meters away, he spied what he was looking for.

In a boundless grassland, where the blades reached up the waist, dainty blue flowers bloomed, and the sun still clung clear to the sky, Ouyang Liu stood in front of Mozun.

“They were conspiring together.” Wu Xingyun confirmed to himself, hidden in the convenient vegetation, watching the two men conversing. He held his gun, carefully closing in.

Fifty meters, a dangerous distance. When Wu Xingyun had successfully ambushed Mozun before, it had been at fifty meters. Any closer, and Wu Xingyun would likely be discovered.

Wu Xingyun stopped his advance. No need to go any further. He had sonic equipment that enabled him to overhear the two men’s dialogue.

The words of Ouyang Liu ringing sharp, the tone a swirl of sadness and awkwardness. “Master Mozun, I thought you’d forgotten me!” Ouyang Liu glanced at Mozun with barely disguised bitterness.

Unable to see Mozun’s face, Wu Xingyun could only listen to Mozun’s voice. “How could that be? I’ve thinking of you all this time. Otherwise, why would I send someone to rescue you, and also help you steal the ship?”

Wu Xingyun should have felt angry, hearing that. Mozun had clearly violated the agreement between both sides. Yet, lurking in the grass, Wu Xingyun’s heart was calm. Detached. Like the night he’d successfully ambushed the Night Shard.

Currently in operational mode, Wu Xingyun felt undisturbed by external circumstances, able to maintain his position as long as necessary.

His brain mulled over Mozun’s words mechanically, coming to the conclusion that the situation seemed to be more than just a simple release.

Casting coquettish eyes at Mozun, Ouyang Liu spoke again in a baffled tone: “I knew Master Mozun couldn’t bear to part with me……But right now, it’s your wedding night!”

Mozun sounded indifferent. “Yes, I left my new bride to come find you. So about our agreement, when are you going to honor it?”

Ouyang Liu smiled. “Master Mozun, I’ve always admired you. From an early age, when I learned your story, since then you’ve been the only person in my heart……”

Mozun said nothing.

His voice becoming rushed, Ouyang Liu continued: “I know, Master Mozun, it’s out with the old, in with the new. But if you really look at that insipid soldier with clear eyes, you’ll see there’s not one good point……” Ouyang Liu assumed a melancholy attitude. “But I still like you……I did all this without any regret……I know what you most want to know……But……I don’t want anything else, I just want you……Even if it’s just once, just one night, I don’t mind.”

Laughter drifted from Mozun, ambiguous, and Wu Xingyun couldn’t grasp his mood.

Yet Wu Xingyun didn’t bother speculating. He was going to remain hidden until Mozun left, then he’d catch Ouyang Liu, retrieve the ship, and send everyone back to the Federation.

But the scene took an unexpected turn. At least to Wu Xingyun. Ouyang Liu tilted his head up, obsessiveness in his eyes, excitement tinging his next utterances: “Just one night, Master Mozun……I like you……I’ve always liked you.”

Lifting an arm, Ouyang Liu unbuttoned his shirt collar.

Calm as still water, Wu Xingyun aimed his gun at Mozun, pondering. Perhaps this time he really could finish the job. When men fucked, they naturally wouldn’t be as vigilant. Wu Xingyun hoped Mozun would act greedily. Take what Ouyang Liu was offering.

With shaky hands, Ouyang Liu slowly took off his coat, then shirt, and finally his pants.

A slender figure, soft-skinned and beautiful, stood naked in the swaying grass.

“Master Mozun, in any case, you’re not going to lose out, are you? Don’t you want to know about that? Only the people of the Ouyang family know……This is your only chance……”

Ouyang Liu stooped slightly, cocking his hips and head simultaneously: “I did everything because……I admire you…”

Mozun didn’t move. Ouyang Liu maintained his posture, while Wu Xingyun patiently waited.

Suddenly, Mozun stepped forward, pinching Ouyang Liu’s chin.

Wu Xingyun raised his gun a little, the sight on the back of Mozun’s head, finger hovering over the trigger. He recalled his last ambush of Mozun. Even as close as he was, killing Mozun was not guaranteed.

Still, if Mozun did stage a live sex play here, Wu Xingyun would do whatever it took to kill Mozun at his most unguarded.

Whether Wu Xingyun or any of his people would make it off the planet alive afterwards was doubtful. They’d likely forfeit their lives for the sake of the Federation.

Nevertheless, to kill the enemy leader and catch a traitor. It was worth the sacrifice, Wu Xingyun silently concluded.

Unfortunately, to Wu Xingyun’s minor disappointment, Mozun didn’t start screwing Ouyang Liu on the spot.

Instead, Mozun kept squeezing Ouyang Liu’s chin, saying coldly: “That thing, you can tell me or not tell me! Your choice. But I’ve never given in to threats!”

Not willing to give up, Ouyang Liu flicked out his tongue and licked Mozun’s hand, attempting an enticing expression.

But then Ouyang Liu registered the unabashed disgust in Mozun’s eyes, so painfully obvious that it instantly sobered Ouyang Liu up. He wanted the Night Shard in front of him. While the demon Mozun clearly hated Ouyang Liu to the bone.

Why was this happening? Hadn’t it been good before? Ouyang Liu didn’t understand.

Mozun did him the courtesy of making it clear. “It seems the Ouyang family, whether ancestors or descendants, all are shameless! Don’t want to say it? Get lost!”

Exerting some force through his hand, Mozun toppled Ouyang Liu to the ground, then turned away.

Ouyang Liu flailed in despair, until he saw Mozun stop after walking away a couple of steps and swivel round to look Ouyang Liu’s body up and down with icy eyes.

Mozun’s mouth curled up, words contemptuous and ridiculing: “Don’t think that I didn’t kill you today because I felt pity. It’s purely because today is my auspicious day. I don’t want to go to my bride’s bed covered in blood. Get dressed and go back to the Federation!”
