Chapter 10: Is She Worthy of Teacher Han Talent?! (1)

When Chu Xiaxing heard Song Wenye’s name, she always inexplicably felt it was familiar and couldn’t help but contemplate the idea.

Song Wenye pondered for two seconds. He considered his words and explained, “The company is currently managed by President Xia and I, however, President Xia is responsible for more affairs…”

Song Wenye originally wanted to save some face for his friend, but he didn’t expect that as soon as he said this, it immediately stirred Chu Xiaxing’s memories!

As Chu Xiaxing recalled the interview with Xia Hong, she looked at Song Wenye in disbelief. She unexpectedly made a misjudgment and hesitated, “…You are not a Westerner, and you don’t have a beer belly?”

Chu Xiaxing still remembered Han Chuning’s jokes. Both agreed that the founder was a greasy, middle-aged man with a beer belly from some Western country. Naturally, Song Wenye’s identity went unnoticed until now.

Song Wenye: “?” So Xia Hong just smeared me like that?

At home in the city, Han Chuning was sending a WeChat message to her Aunt to explain the progress of the contract but suddenly found that the other party no longer responded. Nonchalantly, she placed her phone down and squatted on a chair to eat some takeout.

A moment later, a message popped up on her phone. Han Chuning picked up her phone with the notification still open. She had just read the contents of the message and almost fell off her chair in shock. This message has a familiar sense of dominance!

[Bring your luggage with you tomorrow morning, we meet at the crew. The script has been sent to your mailbox.]

Anxiety started to kick in as Han Chuning started to realize she would be facing the elevated pressure and close-knit crew. She hurriedly called Chu Xiaxing, wanting to inquire about the ins and outs, but her Aunt answered quite plainly.

Chu Xiaxing calmly said, “I’m speaking with President Song regarding business matters, I’ll talk to you later. Prepare your suitcase.”

Han Chuning: “Auntie, hold on! Why did I suddenly join the crew, who is President Song…?”

Han Chuning’s eyes were dumbfounded. She remembered her Aunt being an actor in the past, so why did she start to control her now?

Chu Xiaxing didn’t feel the need to explain. She was amiable at home, and quite decisive when at work. Han Chuning never had the chance to refuse as Chu Xiaxing had already hung up on her.

The next day, Han Chuning got up early and arrived at the filming site by car. She pitifully carried her suitcase towards the group, and finally found Chu Xiaxing, who she hadn’t seen for so many days, and said in a panic: “Auntie…”

Chu Xiaxing didn’t immediately appease her niece. Instead, she showed a standard business smile and calmly said, “President Song, let me introduce you. This is the screenwriter Han Chuning, who wrote and .”

Han Chuning had just arrived on site and was disorientated. She didn’t know the current situation at all and was facing a man with extraordinary temperament. In her honest and moderate stance beside Chu Xiaxing, she politely said, “Hello, President Song.”

Song Wenye looked at Han Chuning and nodded. The two officially shook hands, but they were quite unfamiliar with one another.

Chu Xiaxing politely said, “Does President Song have any thoughts regarding the script? You can talk to Ningning now.”

Song Wenye calmly said: “Since you’re the director, it’s up to you. Xia Hong and I are not particularly good at these. We still have to listen to the opinions of professionals.”

Han Chuning was quite surprised when she heard the word “director”. She became more confused about the current situation but listened obediently and didn’t interrupt them.

Satisfaction poured over Chu Xiaxing’s face as she heard President Song’s words. With her business smile, she stated, “I think President Song is skilled at crew management.”

Song Wenye couldn’t help looking at her in a confused way. He blinked and asked: “I thought I didn’t have these skills in me?”

Song Wenye remembered clearly how Chu Xiaxing bluntly said that he didn’t have such skills and looked more like an assistant.

Chu Xiaxing’s smile was flawless as she politely said: “Just kidding, you don’t need those abilities since we have these talented people at your service.”

Moments after Song Wenye and Xia Hong left the site, the crew changed. Director Wang quietly disappeared overnight, and the director’s name on the notice became Chu Xiaxing, heralding the end of the coup d’etat.

The producers arrived late into the night and left before sunrise, waving their hands and taking director Wang with them.

Starting today, there was only Director Chu in the crew of , and there was no more Director Wang.

Noticing all these professionals leave, Han Chuning saw an opportunity to speak, “Aunty, who is that?”

Chu Xiaxing just faced Song Wenye with subtle politeness. She waited for the gold masters to leave in a second and turned her face ruthlessly: “I don’t care who he is, he just pays.”

Chu Xiaxing was such a professional director. If the producer did not hold the crew funds, she immediately showed her professional attitude and allowed the other party to feel welcomed to the crew.

Han Chuning said in a daze: “Is that a wealthy group?” She knew of her Auntie’s two-faced way of facing the financial backers. This was the crew’s usual routine however, President Song surprisingly had a very courteous manner.

Chu Xiaxing took out a business card and handed it to her niece: “Here, see for yourself.”

Han Chuning glanced at the card and said in surprise: “Yuan Sheng Group, isn’t this…”

Chu Xiaxing patted her niece on the shoulder. She looked serious and said earnestly: “Yes, super-rich! So, you better rewrite the script thoroughly, or else I’ll be extorted for spending a large sum of money!”
