Indeed, what a girl paid the most attention to would eternally be the question of whether they were fat, even though Huang Tielan didn’t look fat at all… uhm, okay, putting it that way would be going against his conscience. A little fat was fine, however. It looked more pleasing to the eye!

This is your house; I wouldn’t dare even if you said yes! Who do I blame if your dad returns and break my legs? Hurry, let’s go to a quiet room. I have something good for you!”
Done speaking, he pointed to the bulging sleeping bag.

The door was pulled open with a creak. Huang Tielan walked out of the room, carrying a big cat-sized little white tiger in her arms with an excited smile.
“Thank you, Zhang Xiaoche. My Caihong finally has a companion now!”
The little white tiger laid his head against Huang Tielan’s chest, his eyes shut in contentment. Sensing the attention from Zhang Che’s gaze, he couldn’t help but open his eyes, roaring out in a low, immature voice.
Zhang Che rolled his eyes back, feeling like had he carried this little beast all this way for nothing.
Huang Tielan immediately caressed the white tiger’s head and said gently, “Don’t cry out, Xiaobai. This is big brother Zhang Che. He’s also your family from now on!” {TLN: Xiaobai means Little White.}
Zhang Che interrupted, “Wait. Can I not be his brother?”
Huang Tielan looked up at him in confusion.
Zhang Che chuckled, “Tell him to call me daddy!”
Huang Tielan raised her long leg and kicked towards Zhang Che, “You’re looking to die, Zhang Xiaoche! Taking advantage of me again!”
Zhang Che ran off, bursting out in laughter. He teased, “Isn’t this just a matter of when? Haha, let’s just leave it at that!”

After completing the little Four-winged White Tiger’s acknowledgment of master, Zhang Che and Huang Tielan went to the villa his mother stayed at and had a warm, comfy dinner together, before returning to the Huang family’s ancestral house.
Huang Juyun had arrived!

In the study, Huang Juyun and Zhang Che sat opposite one another, each with a cup of hot tea placed in front of them.
