Davis let Xerax go and activated the formation core as he repeated the same movements the rats made to mend the spatial tunnel. After a blinding light filled the spatial tunnel, he smiled at Xerax.
"Alright, it's your turn. I hope you make it to the other side, as I can't have you dying halfway through. After all, if I don't make you suffer, I will not be satisfied."
Xerax stood before the spatial vortex, his expression full of hesitation.

On the other side, Davis appeared to be furious, but he was smiling inwardly.

That spatial formation core for the spatial node was the most incredible trash runes he had ever drawn. Even though they were authentic spatial runes, they were all filled with flaws that would collapse upon being used and explode right on his face, but for the King-Tier Cyan Soul Rat, it actually helped him escape before collapsing.
