However, as he was preparing to leave the temple, he noticed a stack of papers lying on the ground that he hadn't noticed when he first entered. There were three papers in total, with two of them appearing to be detailed notes regarding martial skills, while the third paper was folded and contained some kind of message.

After carefully reviewing the details of his newly acquired skills, Bowen hurried back to his home. He instructed Casper to keep track of areas where fewer people were searching for Renault or Bale and then discreetly and successfully entered his house. Only then did he see his mother, Felina's peacefully sleeping face, unaware of the bad news that would greet her the next morning.
Although Felina was not his biological mother, she had taken care of him as any real mother would. For Bowen, who had never experienced parental love before, living with Felina and Theodore felt like a blessing. In reality, killing Theodore didn't affect him much. Perhaps it was because he had already killed people close to him in his previous life, or maybe it was because he had only been in this world for a short time with memories of his previous life. Ultimately, what he did was bring justice to the kidnapped children. He couldn't show favoritism to his own father if he was the culprit. All he could do was conceal the truth and make his deceased father a hero. At least Felina and he, as Bowen, would not be criticized as the wife and son of a criminal.
With a heavy heart, steeling himself for the pain he would see on his mother's face the next day, Bowen lay down on his tattered mattress, pretending to be asleep.
