The Duke’s Aide (3)
I tried to ignore the gaze of Serpence who was staring at me as if analyzing me, and pretended to look out the window.
Scenes that seemed to come out of a movie set in a medieval or modern Western setting were spread out on the street.
‘I thought it would be amazing, but it’s not?’
Perhaps it was because of the merging of Zion’s memories, I just felt the thrill of seeing the city while passing by riding a bus. Come to think of it, I didn’t even think about the scenery when I was commuting to and from work yesterday and today.
After staring for a long time without me reacting, Serpence seems to have given up. He looked away from me and opened a book that looked difficult.
Despite the silence, the carriage drove well and we arrived at the Imperial Palace. It was truly a sight to behold.
‘The name is the Holy Empire, is it okay to have such luxury?’
Since the Prasidus family’s mansion was mainly decorated with antique decorations, I thought that the Empire would value frugality and moderation. Indeed. The duke’s mansion didn’t shine, but everything looked expensive.
As I got off the carriage and looked up at the Imperial Palace, I felt even more overwhelmed by the sight before me.
“Lord Rivelon?”

I was woken up by Serpence’s call and followed behind him.

Since I don’t know the artistic value, I think I was more interested in the flashy and splendid things of the imperial palace rather than the old-fashioned and elegant ones. It’s something I can tell right away that it’s expensive even if I don’t know anything.

Since the name was not mentioned in [Master of the Holy Sword], I barely remembered the memory of Zion, the original owner of the body. His full name is Flamentum C. Argento. He is in his early 70s and is said to be the head of the advisory council and the prime minister at the same time.
‘Since It’s a body that was studying for the position of an aide, It has at least this much common sense.’
For reference, the Duke of Argento is slightly inferior to the Duke of Prasidus, but he is one of the only two dukes of the Holy Lumen Empire.
Although he seems like an incredibly important figure, the reason he didn’t appear in the original is because the Holy Lumen Empire was ruined early. It wasn’t ruined from the beginning, but apart from that, the amount of information about the Empire itself was very small as the protagonist traveled all over the continent.

The baptismal name of the main character, Humanus, is Bright. Before leaving the palace after receiving the holy sword, there was a scene where he exchanged his name with his fiancée as they exchanged their last greetings.
‘At that time, he seemed quite affectionate.’
However, with the fall of the Holy Lumen Empire, she also died, and Humanus spread the name with his newly acquired party members and heroines.
