In the middle of the night, the big bottle of water he drank before going to bed worked, and Qiao Zhiya was successfully woken up by needing to pee.

Sure enough, there were a few jades besides his pillow, and this time they were all his favorite wood-elemental magic stones. And indeed, his magic power was immediately drawn to these jades.

He looked at the sleeping Chu Rong. His cheeks puffed up in irritation, forcibly withdrew his magic power, then condensed it into a thin thread, and surrounded Chu Rong with them.

Chu Rong, who was sleeping, seemed to have noticed something. He frowned and was about to wake up, Qiao Zhiya hastily increased the output of wood-type magic power, and even specially separated some to turn around his head.

The wood-type magic power has a soothing and healing effect, and the hypnotic effect was also very good. Chu Rong, who could not sense the specific location of the magic power, was quickly affected, his frowning brows slowly relaxed, and he fell into a deep sleep again.

He breathed a sigh of relief, controlled his magic power to surround Chu Rong, then carefully climbed out of the bed, and ran towards the bathroom barefoot – he really needed to pee now!

Chu Rong, who was sleeping while being blanked by the magic power, was completely unaware of Qiao Zhiya’s brief departure. By the time Qiao Zhiya came back, the added weight on the mattress instinctively made Chu Rong try to hug him in his sleep.

Now both of them were surrounded by wood magic.

Qiao Zhiya adjusted his posture, rubbed his head against Chu Rong’s chest – which might be hard, but the muscle felt rather nice. He was not lying when he said he had come up with a mild treatment method. Just treat the surface in a roundabout way.

He slowly removed the magical blanket, only to condensed it into a thread and circled it around. He used his fingers as a guide to shape this thread into a magical array. If he can succeed, the White-Haired Monster’s illness will heal faster.

It was quite a difficult task for his level of control. Fortunately, there was emerald jade next to the pillow, making it very convenient to replenish his magic power. Finally, the magical array was finally completed with difficulty.

After finishing the last stroke, white soft light flashed, and an emerald green complex magic circle – that only he could see – formed in mid-air. It slowly rotated towards the two of them on the bed, releasing rich healing magic power.

Qiao Zhiya relaxed his body as if he was exhausted, touched a wood-elemental magic stone to replenish his magic power, and looked at the healing magic circle in midair with some joy.

It’s done! Although the maintenance time would not be too long, the effect of the magic circle drawn entirely by magic power is much better than the magic circle activated only by the magical stones. This effort was not in vain.

‘Now the White-Haired Monster’s illness will heal faster…’ He thought happily. He was exhausted, and he fell asleep not long after.

Chu Rong, who was lying next to him and should have been in a deep sleep, suddenly frowned, and instinctively tightened his hold on the youth.

In the morning, Qiao Zhiya woke up late thanks to his midnight secret excursion. The strange thing was that Chu Rong didn’t scold him, but kept looking at him with unfathomable eyes while he was eating breakfast, and touched his head from time to time.

Qiao Zhiya was very guilty, and guessed that Chu Rong must’ve discovered something. But so long he didn’t speak first, he wouldn’t take the initiative to expose himself. He could only bury the entanglement in his heart, and obediently followed Chu Rong to a house near the ancient martial arts hall.

The name of the hall was very ordinary, with only one word “武1“Wu” ; martial/military” written on a wooden sign with a gorgeous calligraphy work. The inside was very large and spacious, there were many students, and the facilities looked very high-end.

“Marshal!”

Seeing them coming in, a slender, middle-aged man greeted them with a formal smile. With a happy tone, he said, “Everyone has been talking about you for a long time, it’s been a long time since you came here! Do you want to practice with everyone?”

Chu Rong suddenly felt a lot more relaxed than usual. He nodded in response. “I can stay for a day, and I will practice with you in the afternoon. Where is Lao Xu, let him come over.”

By then, the man noticed that there was a young man behind Chu Rong. Thinking of the news he heard a while ago, he thought for a while, and probably understood the purpose of his visit this time, and replied, “Lao Xu2Old Xu, it’s a common nickname for a close person older than you OR about your age group. is upstairs, I’ll tell him to come down right away, just wait a moment.” After speaking, he took out the communicator to find this person’s number and sent a message.

When they were communicating, Qiao Zhiya had been looking at this ancient martial arts hall. Seeing that the students scattered in the hall showed surprise after seeing Chu Rong, his ears moved. He snuck several glances at the White-Haired Monster.

‘He must come here often. Everyone is familiar with him and likes him very much.’

“Don’t be absent-minded.” Chu Rong suddenly turned around and rubbed his bangs, and said,”Old Xu will help you stretch your body in a while, it will hurt a little, bear with it.”

Stretching exercises? Another warm-up or cool-down?

Qiao Zhiya nodded with half understanding, and walked in with him.

After a while, a gray-haired spiritual old man ran down from upstairs. He greeted Chu Rong with a smile on his face, then set his eyes on Qiao Zhiya. The old man looked him up and down carefully, frowned, and signaled to the staff behind him to take Qiao Zhiya to change into his training clothes.

Qiao Zhiya looked at Chu Rong, to which Chu Rong nodded in response, so he obediently followed the staff and left.

While waiting, Chu Rong and Lao Xu entered a separate training room and sat down at a table in the corner.

“His physical development has stopped?” Lao Xu frowned, thought for a while, and replied, “The bone strength of teenagers is not as strong as that of adults. Even if he has S-level physical aptitude, he may not be able to practice at S-level in the end. The training plan has to wait until we can be sure of his skeletal strength.”

Chu Rong also frowned, looking at him quietly, like a parent who was unwilling to accept the teacher’s comments on their underperforming child. “He is very strong, and his physique is beyond S. He actually may be closer to SS.”

This shocked the old man, as this was the first time Chu Rong denied his analysis with such a childish tone. He frowned, but smiled not long after, as if he had found the secret of the world. “People said that Marshal Chu suddenly adopted a child that he loved very much, to the point of taking him to school every time. I didn’t believe it at first, but now I believe it.”

“Since I’m his legal guardian now, I naturally will be a responsible one.” Chu Rong replied flatly, not answering the question at all.

Lao Xu tactfully stopped going into this topic, and turned the topic to the arrangement of the training plan.

Qiao Zhiya followed the staff to the training room after changing into his training clothes. After being ordered by Chu Rong to complete a set of warm-up exercises, he walked to the middle of the field and lay down on his stomach under the request of Lao Xu.

An hour later, Chu Rong took him to the bathroom with a blank expression, feeling that his limbs were no longer his own.

After arriving at the bathroom, Chu Rong took off his soaked clothes, tried the water temperature in the tub, and after confirming that it was suitable, he bent down and put the youth into the tub. He helped him wipe the sweat from his forehead, and said, “Soak for half an hour. This is a medicinal bath, it is good for your body.”

Qiao Zhiya stretched his sore muscles and laid on the edge of the bathtub. “Did you do the same when you were practicing martial arts?”

When he was changing clothes, he had already learned from the staff that this ancient martial arts gym was actually run by Chu Rong. And as for the students, they actually were the first batch of mecha fighters trained for purely manual mecha driving. They were all spiritual-power “disabled”.

He compared the training schedule with his school’s schedule. It was clear that this schedule was hell compared to that one. But Chu Rong only called this “bitterness” a little pain. In order to climb back to the peak… How much of this “bitterness” did he have to force down his throat?

Chu Rong looked at his distressed eyes. His expression softened as he rubbed the youth’s wet hair. “Everyone is like this. Are you afraid?” Many people just give up at the first step. Human beings spoiled by spiritual strength simply cannot bear this kind of long-term physical suffering.

“Not afraid.” Qiao Zhiya immediately shook his head. He tried to massage his sore back as he firmly said, “Since you can do it, So I can do it too. It doesn’t hurt that much, I can bear it.”

His body felt like unbaked bread dough – kneaded until all the gluten developed, so it’s all soft and stretchy. Maybe his bones also have been reshuffled and rearranged, judging on how boneless he felt. It was the most difficult at the beginning, but after getting used to the pain, he didn’t feel that uncomfortable.

Reaching out like this, Chu Rong’s clothes were wet and stuck uncomfortably on his skin. But he didn’t care, he insisted on patting the blond’s head and replied, “You are raised by me, and I don’t allow you to practice too hard and ruin your body. But still, I believe in you.”

“Yeah.” Qiao Zhiya nodded, then hugged him with a smile.

Because of the hug, Qiao Zhiya’s body protruded a lot out of the water, exposing half of his chest.

Chu Rong was uncomfortable. He was obviously fine looking at the half-naked Qiao Zhiya just before. But now… it felt weird. It felt like he shouldn’t be looking at Qiao Zhiya like this. He gave the youth one last headpats, then promptly left.

Qiao Zhiya watched him go, the smile on his face disappeared. He gently rubbed the arm that Chu Rong hugged just now – it really hurts, Lao Xu really wasn’t kidding when he said that Chu Rong has a grip of an iron claw!

Soaking in a medicated bath was also a very uncomfortable thing. At the beginning, it felt like insects were gnawing on his body, which was painful and itchy. In the later stage, the pain and itching gradually disappear, but it feels like it burns instead. It made him wanna cry.

The heat felt like boiling his body, steam coming out from every pore of his skin. He sweated profusely. Not long after, the color of the bath water became cloudy, and at this point, Qiao Zhiya finally could relax. Strength came back to his body, and his vein felt cleaned up.

Qiao Zhiya took a shower as fast as he could and changed into new training clothes. He opened the door and found Chu Rong who was training with Lao Xu on the field. His eyes lit up and he rushed up without hesitation. The target was the belt!

Chu Rong noticed the change in the airflow behind him, and hurriedly turned to block it, but he didn’t expect that the opponent just made a feint, changed his offensive stance, and grabbed the belt of his training uniform at a speed that surprised him.

“I succeeded!” Qiao Zhiya held on to his belt, his face full of unconcealable excitement.

Old Xu was startled by his speed then took a step back to stop the attack.

Chu Rong also withdrew his hands, glanced at his half-dried hair and rosy face and the smile of the stupid Bald Chicken’s lips. He instantly took back his belt and poured a bucket of cold water of reality at him. “Sneak attack is not counted, and it’s a one-on-two, victory is useless.”

Qiaz Zhiya pouted, but he knew this too. “Then I will win you fair and square next time.”

“Mn. I’ll wait.”
